The previous company promised to be prompt, but ended up delaying their visit multiple times and even showed up without the necessary tools for the job. Frustrated, I decided to call R&L Plumbers. I was assured that Ian would be right over, and true to their word, he arrived promptly. Ian tried a few different techniques and managed to successfully clear our kitchen drain. The delivery and installation team from a home improvement store noticed issues with both the washer and gas dryer hook-ups, and they couldnt install them until these were fixed. Without hesitation, I called R&L Plumbers, and Brett and Ian came out on the very same day. They replaced a deteriorating gas shut-off valve, which could have been a potential hazard, for the dryer. They also meticulously cleaned and inspected the washers boiler drains and hose caps. I cant speak highly enough of the quality of their work and their professional demeanor. Brett and Ian make an excellent team! They even returned a few days later, at no extra cost, to help reignite the pilot light in our family room fireplace because my spouse and I couldnt get it to function. The quality of their work was simply outstanding. They even identified and addressed a major issue that had been lurking for a while. While I sought advice on this major issue from the plumbing company, their response wasnt as prompt as Id hoped (Id rate them 4.975 stars if I could). Their office even has an adorable resident cat. After we received a notification stating that the leak had been repaired, Ian proposed to hold off on cashing our initial payment for the line replacement until we could confirm the situation. It seemed likely that a toilet was running continuously without our awareness, and Ian assured us he would discard the check. Once hes finished attending to all the emergency calls brought on by the harsh weather, hell return to inspect the toilet seals. Though Ive heard that some plumbing services are less costly, this service was the first to respond during our crisis. Ian even checked in over the weekend to confirm we had water pressure and to reassure us that the leak was genuinely fixed. -

I was having a new dishwasher installed by a home improvement store, and they accidentally damaged the water valve under my sink. This led to water spraying out uncontrollably. They asked if i knew of a plumber who could come right away, within their scheduled installation window, or they wouldnt be able to install the appliance. In no time at all, roughly 10 minutes, the pipe that connects my sink and tub was free from blockages. All this was done at a fair price. They assisted me in re-establishing the connection between the washer and dryer and reinstated them in their original positions, after I had been attempting to fix them before their arrival. Once the drain was unclogged, they left. We operated the washer afterwards and it displayed an HF error midway through the wash cycle. I referred to online sources and deduced that it was due to a faulty component, considering the machines are over a decade old. I prepared myself to purchase a replacement part, suspecting I had made a mistake while trying to repair the unit before the plumbers arrival. However, the machine was operational after my attempted repair, up until we discovered the blocked drain. Just as I was about to order the new part, I realized that the hot water supply was turned off. The issue was immediately resolved! In the process of reassembling everything and putting it back in its place, we overlooked turning the hot water supply back on. I couldnt hold Ian and Brett accountable for this oversight as they were very helpful, and it turned out to be a valuable learning opportunity for me! -

We decided on a tankless water heater. They took photographs, efficiently drained the old tank (considerately directing the water towards a patch of dead grass), disposed of it, fitted the new one, replaced all necessary pipes, and tidied up prior to their departure.
