Jason and Chris are terrific! I had a huge plumbing issue at my house that required a complete re-piping. We got several bids but I knew right away they were the guys for the job. From start to finish, both Jason and Chris were patient in explaining the process and made sure the job was done correctly. They were also great at making sure they left the house as clean as they could throughout the construction. Im super thankful for all their hard work.

She did an amazing amount of research to find the appropriate appliance even in neighboring Palm Springs. They were super fast and efficient because she knew I had renters at the home. Thank you!!!

Update August 2023:We have worked with John Mahany Plumbing several times now and although sometimes there are delays and hiccups generally have had a good experience with them and now they are one of our go to companies in the area.Original review:We have been using them for past several months. They frequently no show or are late. The office is also terrible at coordinating or communicating. We schedule an appointment and then the technicians simply no show, come completely unprepared or arrive prepared to do some completely different job. So much headache. Would not recommend working with this company if you are having anything remotely complicated done.We spoke with the owner of the company and he was understanding and nice and we trusted them with more jobs, but they keep dropping the ball.

These guys were the first ones to answer their phones and called us back. They came to our house the same day to look at the problem and fixed it the next day. They were both very professional, knowledgeable, punctual, and friendly.We had another leak the following week and they were able to get it fixed the same day as well.It’s hard to find reliable professionals in this desert and we can’t recommend John Mahany Plumbing enough.

Great experience! Recently we have done some renovations to our home and during the process our 20 year plus propane ran water heater started leaking from the TMP valve. I called John Mahany Plumbing to see if they would come replace it for us asap as we were leaving on a trip. They came within an hour and had the unit changed out pretty quick. The guys were kind, through and did a great job installing as well as cleaning up. Thank you bunches.

Cecilia the receptionist is amazing, having multiple problems with my home warranty company she worked with me and helped me along the way. Going out of her way to follow up on the problems I was facing with the warranty company. John Mahany is the go to plumbing company for me as long as she’s leading the way. I was so pleased with the timleyness, professionalism and cost!! Had a leak under my mobilehome. When I called the lady on the phone was reassuring and said the plumbers would be out within a couple of hours. They arrived much quicker, found the problem within minutes and fixed it all in less than an hour. They also showed me the old pipe and explained what they fixed. The two plumbers that cane to my house were quick and professional. All for less than 200$. Thank you!

I have called John Mahany Plumbing several times over the course of 10 years. They have always been professional, courteous and punctual. The prices are fair also. Nobody likes spending money on suddenly leaking pipes, but if it must be done, I think that John Mahany Plumbing is one of the best in Yucca Valley.

FOLLOW-UP TO ORIGINAL COMMENTMahany Plumbing is now owned by a fellow named Morris. He read my original review and contacted me about it, offering his apologies for the poor service and also offering to try and make amends.He, in fact, did exactly that. He came out and corrected an error made in the installation of our new water heater... at no charge. Even more, he installed a new pvc water line on our property, including a pressure regulating valve, and he did this at severely discounted price.After dealing with Morris for several days and observing the diligence he put into his work, I have concluded to trust him for all our plumbing needs. He didnt own the company when we had so much trouble with it, but he believes he now owns the liabilities as well as the assets attached to the company name, and hes honorable enough to accept the accountability.ORIGINAL COMMENTFor many years we have used John Mahany Plumbing and were very happy with the service, until we got a dripping faucet last month.A plumber arrived and told us the reason for the drip was too much pressure on the line, which, he said, could be easily fixed with a pressure regulator. After the regulator was installed, we lost our hot water. When we called Mahany to come out again, the same plumber made some adjustments and cleaned some debris out of the filter of the on-demand water heater we had. This heater was installed by Mahany about three to four years ago.After the cleaning and adjustments, the hot water returned for a short time (about two hours) and then ran cold again. The plumber came out a third time, checked the filter again and vaguely suggested that our heater was broken, even though he didnt say so in so many words. He also said that Mahany didnt work on the kind of heater we had. (Wed ordered it online because we didnt know of any sources up here for such heaters. Mahany installed it.)On his third visit the plumber took the regulator out of the system in an attempt to return the system to its original state. Still, no hot water.At a loss for what to do, we asked to have a standard hot water heater installed, which was done on a subsequent plumber visit. (It is only fair to note that Mahany refunded the fee for the pressure regulator installation and gave us a discount on the standard water heater.)After the installation, we called another plumber to get his assessment of the water heater installation and to ask his opinion about the problem with our on-demand heater. Although he couldnt suggest why the on-demand heater malfunctioned, when he was shown where the pressure regulator had been installed, he pointed out that this was on the hot water line and wasnt where the regulator should have been installed.Ultimately, we lost an on-demand heater that had been working perfectly, a loss of over $1,000, including installation. In addition, we were out the cost of the new water heater.During the entire trouble shooting phase, the plumber was never observed even trying to understand and perhaps reprogram our on-demand heater, even though we had the user manual. Its worth considering that in the process of installation of the regulator, a programming error was triggered and that the system might have been restored with proper reprogramming. But, this is only a nagging speculation.Sadly, its hard to avoid feeling that our system was disabled because of mistakes made and a reluctance to do what was necessary to correct the hot water problem. There is no way to know if our on-demand system was on the verge of malfunctioning, but it is almost unrealistic to think that it broke down at exactly the same time Mahany got involved. The system was only three to four years old and should have had a much longer life. What we do know is that after Mahany installed the pressure regulator, our hot water heater went out and the only solution seemed to be to replace our heater with something else.Although it doesnt drip as much, our faucet does still drip.

These guys are God sends, my septic line was cloged the toilet was draining into the tub. I was burying my business in the back yard my mom had to go in a bucket. After two days of trying to fix the problem with a plunger snake and drain cleaner I called John mahany plumbing, they came quickly after I told them my perdicamint did a professional and exemplonary job, and in the end when it was all said and done gave me little break on the bill saying I know these are hard times for every one. Needless to say Im beyond satisfied and will recommend many times over again. Wish I could give more than five stars.
