    Called Pioneer based on their excellent reviews. Rafael arrived for an appointment to discuss my project. Took measurements and drafted a plan and scheduled a day. Calvin and his crew arrived and they were very courteous and professional. They installed a new sump pump drainage system and wall covering. They did a great job and kept me informed of the progress. I highly recommend this company.

    December 14th 2024. I highly recommend Pioneer. They responded immediately to my request to repair a crack in my foundation. Nate was knowledgeable and very professional.     Pioneer Basement is a company that goes above and beyond their competition. We needed to replace our existing sump pump that was old, as well as a backup pump with a battery. We had our work done on July 2023. The crew also worked on improving the external drainage from our sump pump discharge. The work Pioneer has done has protected our home from the torrential storms weve been having the last few months, and we truly owe it to Pioneer Basement for performing amazing work to protect our home. While our neighbors were getting water in their basement, our basement has been water-free. Even when the power went out, having the battery and two sump pumps, along with the 24/7 emergency line is a peace of mind that were glad to have.Weve had some parts that initially triggered false alarms, but Pioneer came out immediately and replaced the necessary parts under warranty. All replaced parts were tested on the spot. We appreciated the due diligence. Later in the year, we also had to patch up some seepage that was caused by storms, but Pioneer was able to properly fix it, and it came with an amazing warranty. Other professionals would have performed cheap and quick solutions, but what separates Pioneer Basement from the others is that they want to implement long term solutions that will stand the test of time. The generous warranty is the cherry on top.Wed recommend anyone who needs a solid basement solution with an amazing team that stands by their work to look into Pioneer Basement.Big shout out to the amazing team Pioneer has: The office staff Catherine, Tina, Paulina, and Jocelyn for making scheduling and billing a smooth process. Every phone call weve had with them has been a joy. The operations managers Tim and Rene were prompt, professional, provided us reasonable options for estimates, and provided us the solutions we were looking for. Tim has also been amazing with emergency responses (thank you again). Last but not least the crew that came and did the work: Kervin, Jonathan, and Sebastian amazed us with the level of detail of the work they performed for our job. They didnt shy away from procuring extra crushed stone that was needed, and they were able to put back the sod exactly how it was before such that we didnt need to re-sod. They did an amazing job installing the complex pumps and backups with neat cable ties and smoothened concrete finish. They also explained to us how the whole system worked so wed be informed on how to troubleshoot the system.We hope Pioneer Basement can continue delivering their best and continue growing. Having a great company for waterproofing solutions is a must with all the recent precipitation.

    Id give Pioneer Basement way more than 5 stars if I could. They didnt just exceed my expectations, they absolutely blew my expectations out of the water. I was so pleased with their work that I sent an email directly to the company after the work was done at my house. Im going to copy & paste it here. This company is just phenomenal.Troy========Good morning Kim,Can you please provide to me the contact info of the owner of Pioneer Basement, or at least pass this email to the owner?CARLOS, ROMAN, ALEJANDRO and JOSE have done an EXCEPTIONAL job here and I want to make sure the owner knows how good they are.I have worked with a LOT of contractors from many different specialties. Carlos and his crew are easily at the very top of my list for the best people Ive ever had the pleasure of doing business with. Their work is absolutely impeccable & meticulous, they are very knowledgeable about installation details, know when to make minor adjustments on the fly to optimize a design or handle an unexpected issue, they work very quickly, and have answered any and all of my questions throughout the whole process. (And Ive asked a lot of questions.) Even their cleanup is outstanding - my cellar floor was absolutely spotless when they left.This is a very, very large job - four new pumps installed into two different locations of my basement, cutting & digging new pits at each spot, digging ~200 of trenches outside, diverting all 4 pumps AND all of my downspouts into oversized 4 pipes, then discharging all of that very far away from my house and into the woods. They also sealed one full-height crack in my wall and one full-height cold joint where an addition foundation meets the original foundation. It is a very big and very expensive job and I wasnt too happy to have to spend so much money, but I very quickly realized the top-notch quality of the finished product (workmanship of the installation, quality of the actual pumps, controllers, etc,) that I am receiving for that price. Their trench work is amazing -- after they were done I could barely tell where they dug, even though I knew where to look. Their plumbing (~150 of 1.5 pipe inside my house) on the inside is just as good -- every single pipe, every joint, every bend... all of it is absolute perfection.The quality, the professionalism, the workmanship, and their knowledge is absolutely 100% worth the money all day long every day of the week.With no hesitation whatsoever, I will recommend Pioneer Basement to everyone I know who needs to address water & moisture problems in their home or business. I am even considering doing some additional work at my house (dehumidifiers & filtration) after this job is complete.     Had Pioneer install a dehumidifier in my basement last year, ran great and really took care of the air quality. As this season was ramping up, warmer temperatures, humidity, I kept checking on the unit, cleaned the filter, I noticed it was throwing an error code so I called and immediately got support. When the troubleshooting did not fix the issue I was given an appointment quickly and promptly. The technician came out and proactively brought a new unit just in case. The root cause of the issue could not be determined on site so the technician swapped out the unit with a new one at no cost. I am extremely pleased with the service and remediation of fixing this issue.

Mike provided and supported his quote and suggested system. All questions, based on my research, were welcome and addressed. The company history and reviews only supported the choice. The installation was done yesterday, and I am impressed. The work and job site was kept and was left clean. My yard looks very respectable. The team was respectful and virtually unnoticed, jackhammering aside. I highly recommend!

    Everyone we have worked with has been professional and very detailed. Tim, the Operations Manager that prepared our estimate, was very responsive to all of our questions. And the two installers that installed the sump pump did a great job. They cleaned up after all their work and even helped clean up other things that werent their responsibility. The only draw back is that they are a very busy and it does take a few weeks to schedule each part of the process. But totally worth it!

    This review is for a dryer hose clean-out. The second time we’ve had this done by Pioneer. Steve Rego was our service provider and he was very thorough. He also took one look at a recent issue we had with water and identified the source immediately.Beyond this visit, we must tell add that Pioneer has saved us enormous suffering from a former issue with water entry into our house.     We have lived in our home for 28 years. When we purchased our home there was water in the basement. For all these years we have had some level of water and all the attendant issues to deal with. Finally, we had had enough and called Pioneer. The representative came out and was very informative and thorough looking through our basement. He took extensive photos and looked in every corner of the interior and exterior. He then came back to us with recommendations to help alleviate the water issues. I will admit, it took me a while to digest the three options, but once I did, the representative returned and we discussed how it would work and then set a date for installation.From start to finish this project has been completely professional and well done. The administration, the crew and the followup have been incredible and we feel secure knowing we made the right decision to go with Pioneer Basement. The system is working and we have had considerable rain. A great burden has been lifted from my shoulders.

    Pioneer basement upgraded our sump pump and installed a battery back up. Shortly after install we had a big rain storm and seemed to be experiencing issues with either the pump or the pipe. We called during off hours and got a call back within just a few minutes. Tim spent a very long time on the phone with us, in the very late hours of the night, trying to help resolve the issue. He was so patient and kind and really cared about helping us. First thing the next morning, another technician arrived to check out of system and make sure everything was working correctly. To top it off, Tim even called us later that day just to check in! Can’t say enough good things about their customer service and commitment to their work!

    Highly recommend! Our house sits at the bottom of a steep hill, so before getting a sump pump, we had a flood with 4+ inches of watering covering the entire basement floor. After that we got a sump pump installed ASAP. That was back in 2000 and Pioneer Basement installed a system that lasted for 23 years! The pump was still going strong but this week we decided to replace it with a double pump and battery backup system since we’ve had such rainy summers and power outages. I called to make the appointment and we got a window from 11am-2pm with a text/call before arrival. Our technician, Jerry, arrived on time and was very knowledgeable. He recommended the best system based on our needs and the pricing was on par with other companies. The new system installation happened the same day and all went smoothly. I wish we had upgraded sooner because there’s now a wifi-based alert system that texts/emails you if there are any pump failures, rising water levels in the pit or other issues. The day after the install, we got a follow up call asking if we had any questions or needed any additional info, so from start to finish everything went well and I feel confident that our basement will stay water-free for many more years.

    I am truly grateful and relieved that Pioneer Basement is my waterproofing company! Pioneer Basement installed a waterproofing system at my home in 2002 and honored their lifetime guarantee in 2010 by digging 2 additional trenches and replacing the waterproofing floor when groundwater entered our basement following a very heavy rainstorm. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to Rafael Villalona, Pioneers Service Manager, who came to my rescue yesterday, 11/9/23, when I needed an emergency inspection of my Pioneer basement waterproofing system and to meet with my homeowners insurance claims adjuster only a few days after I called for help.     Tim was very informatve and professional, and after going over what i was interested in doing went over options for what i wanted. Having a somewhat high water table i know i needed to replace my old existing pump and install a bigger pit with the drainage grates and drainage extending out away from the house.     Pioneer installed a sump pump, vapor barrier and collection channel in our cape code home. They were very efficient completing the job in just over a day. The crew was professional on all aspects of the job. Amazing how they were able to carve the trenches in the concrete floor and remove all the material with buckets causing minimal disruption. They left the area very neat and clean and the piping was installed perfectly such that we could finish the basement. Now we have piece of mind that our new finished basement will stay dry and not ruin the new floors. I would highly recommend Pioneer to anyone considering basement water mitigation.

Their work quality is top notch.Even with the French drain, one of the latest storm dumped so much water in a very short period. The basement had a few wet spot. Rafael inspected and provided a solution. His team was professional, and provided the same high quality work as the initial installation. During the latest storm, the basement was bone dry.The weather is changing. The unexpected will happen.     The only reason for four stars was that the service call that I made was to have my dehumidifier repaired. The technician only cleaned my sump pump-annual check-up (note: my sump pump has been dry since the installation of the waterproofing). He did not have any parts on his truck to fix the dehumidifier, and ended up taking my dehumidifier, under warranty, back to his shop for shipping to the Santa Fe company for repair.

    An excellent experience. Living on a lake has its benefits but the down side is basement water issues, especially when the lake has drainage problems. We had Pioneer provide us a full assessment. Rafael, their lead person for us was very helpful and knows his stuff. We went for the full boat french drain, walls covered, pumps, back up and warranty. Since then they have come back on a no charge service call and fully addressed my concerns. A stand -up company that knows their stuff and are pleasant, available and accountable to deal with.
