    Update: We moved and had Oakwood remove my charger and install it to our new home, they did another amazing job! Setting appointments and getting done was smooth just like before.Arvy and Jesse came to install my EV charger, they did an amazing job running the cable down the basement and into my panel from the garage! Install was clean, they were very professional as well! Also the company is very reliable and well organized, they also didnt charge for the quotation which was very reasonable unlike other companies, also the guy that came to do the quote was very professional and knew what needs to be done. I highly recommend them!

    Jesse and John did a great job for us! They installed new hardwired smoke detectors replaced outlets and light fixtures and added new ones for us. Lucky we did. At least one outlet could have caused a fire. Its not the first time Oakwood did work for us, and it wont be the last. Great to work with!

    I contracted with Oakwood Electric to install a ceiling fan in a location that did not have electrical access. Their quote was reasonable and Pedro.the electrician, was outstanding. He was on time, courteous, speed tarps over the floor and furniture. Once locating an outlet where he could get electricity, from he ran the sires without cutting an additional hole into the ceiling. He carefully cut the hole for the box only. He let the living room in the same condition he found it and offered to help move furniture back.This is not the first time I have use Oakwood. They installed and service my Generac generator. I have had nothing but positive experiences with the staff and electricians. I recommend them for any electrical project you may have.

    Arvy and Peter were top-notch professionals. They came out to install new conduit and wiring for a Wall charger and did a clean, competent job from start to finish. They took time to walk me through their process and also suggest the best place for final install of the charging unit, after that, they set to work and ensured everything was nice and tight so to speak. This was my first time using Oakwood Electric but I won’t hesitate to call them again and ask for these two gentlemen for any of our other electrical needs

    We recently purchased a house in the burbs and there was some electrical work to be looked into / remediated. After reading all the reviews about Oakwood, I decided to give them a try and Im glad I did.They first came out and provided us an estimate of the costs - which was good b/c then I knew which ones I would book immediately vs wait on. I then was able to schedule them to come out a week or two later for the work.I had quite the laundry list of items and they were here about 8 hours (1 to 2 people). At the end of the day, it was a costly day, but to be honest - not as bad as I expected - given how much I had them do. They provided me a source of comfort knowing that my electrical needs were being taken care of in a professional and safe manner.I thought the workers were really nice and did a great job. I would recommend Oakwood to anyone and I would use them again.

    Pedro & Pete did a great job with our electric car charger installation. They were very kind, professional, and respectful of the fact we were working from home as they worked throughout the house. Oakwood let us know ahead of time that since this was a longer job, adding any other smaller tasks (installing light fixtures, moving the location of an outlet) could be completed by only charging for the work done, and without an additional service fee. We felt we were able to maximize their visit by having a couple of other smaller things done throughout the house. Thanks for the great work!

    Pedro did an excellent job installing an EV charger in our garage. He worked through unexpected challenges of running power from my basement all the way across the house - through a bricked breezeway and into my garage. Pedro was incredibly professional and even cleaned areas impacted before he left.Can not recommend Pedro and Oakwood Electric enough if you are in need of an EV outlet install!

    Oakwood services our generator yearly and does an excellent job. They are always on time, easy to schedule with, and provide quality work. Oakwood performed an emergent call during the Polar Vortex 4 years ago and installed a cold weather package kit for our generator which put us back on confident back up power.Recently Oakwood installed my EV charger with the same quality and confidence I have seen from them in the past.

    Juan and Pete came to install an electric car charger. They were professional, friendly, and did great work. They came up with a creative solution to hide wires/piping that was not in the original plan. They left work spaces clean and did a thorough overview before leaving. We are already booking them for another small electric project and look forward to using them again in the future. Highly recommend!

    PEDRO did a excellent job getting a generator up and running. He was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything. The company was good as well. Always answered when I called. If I had to provide any suggestions for the company it would only be a call ahead before the tech showed up. But that wouldnt stop me from using them again. All in all I am very happy with them.

    I normally have a preferred electrician that I use but unfortunately he wasnt available and the project was time sensitive. I went into the local Best Picks 2020 and found Oakwood, called and someone picked up the phone right away I told them my situation. The lady said let me call you right back, 5 min later she called back and said I can have someone out there tomorrow between 8am -10am. Ken showed up right on time and performed all of the 5 tasks I needed done everything works great he was neat and clean. Honestly with the type of service I received I might just go with these guys for all of my electrical needs in the future, call these guys for your electrical needs they are excellent!

    Kenneth and Pedro were both courteous and professional. They thoroughly explained our options, and made sure the placement of the new lights was optimal. When the work was completed, they cleaned up after themselves and moved all the furniture back to its original position. They then stayed to make sure I understood how to operate everything. I would definitely use them again.

    We moved in to a house and did not realize the ceiling fan was installed incorrectly. This afternoon, it fell...thankfully no one was below it! I called Oakwood immediately and Becky sent an electrician over immediately to cap the loose wires. We were able to purchase a new fan, which he installed the same afternoon. The customer service was great as was the work performed. We HIGHLY recommend Oakwood Electric! Thank you for coming to our rescue so quickly and professionally!

    We have been calling Oakwood electric and generator for servicing our generac generator for the past 3 years we have been here in Hinsdale Illinois. Most times, I am not even home and they come and get the job done and leave a detailed description of the work done and issues found. Theres never a problem with their service and neither is there a pressure to fix something or buy an unwanted part or component like ABC that we used once. Even the payment is made over phone a day or two after the service is performed with no issues whatsoever. I am so glad that we found the right place for getting our generator serviced.

    Oakwood electrical is quick, efficient, knowledgeable, and they actually answer when you call! We had a major electrical emergency that needed to involve Comed. Oakwood guided us through the process and put us at easy. They electrician wasn’t throwing around “terms” he explained the problems in a manner we could understand. The cost was very fair, and reasonable for the extensive work we needed. We now use them for all our electrical and generator maintenance needs. 5 stars is not enough, every time we called they answered. The owner reached out to talk to us himself. We could not give a higher recommendation. Oh yeah, the electrician cleaned up after himself as well! Half these jokers leave the mess for you.
