    We recently had two major renovations completed at our home, using Hurst Design Build Remodel. In 2022, Hurst built an exterior room addition and a new front porch, along with new siding and stonework; and in 2024, Hurst completed an interior renovation, including new flooring and paint throughout the house, and an updated kitchen and two bathrooms.Hurst provided excellent design services for both projects, incorporated the ideas we discussed, and guided us throughout the selection process.The Hurst team is organized and goes to great lengths to document and communicate the work they are doing. The schedule, daily logs (with photos each day of the work done), selections, and changes, were all documented for us to review at any time. In addition, the Project Manager held and documented weekly update meetings, to review what was completed last week, and to discuss what was scheduled for the coming week.All of the Hurst employees, and their sub-contractors, performed excellent quality work in a professional and friendly manner. They kept the worksite clean throughout both projects.Hurst pays great attention to post-construction follow-up. They have a dedicated team that is working with us to finish our 11-month punch list. In summary, we are extremely pleased with their work and personnel. We would recommend Hurst Design Build Remodel without reservation.

    We just completed a large expansion project on our ground floor opening up three rooms. Hurst finished the project on the exact day they anticipated despite the fact that the demo revealed significant unexpected and necessary structural work. The communication with everyone at Hurst was timely and professional. Pat Hurst set us up with an amazing team with Tammi Graf developing a terrific design/advising on selections and Michael Maynard project managing a diverse set of vendors in addition to the skilled craftsmanship he brought himself. Michael and his team were in our home for four months but it never felt intrusive and they kept the construction mess tidy and never overflowing into other parts of our home. I cant say enough about their professionalism and we are thrilled with our renovation. It feels like a whole new home.

    Hurst did an outstanding job designing and building our outdoor Dream Space - complete with a spacious porch for entertaining and an outdoor kitchen, all perfectly blending into our home as if it was always here.The communication, planning, and craftsmanship were all exceptional. Their staff were a pleasure to work with, and the contractors they selected for the more complicated aspects were at the top of their trades. Look forward to our next project with Hurst!

    We had a great experience with Hurst. Everyone we worked with was extremely professional. Our laundry and mud room remodel was finished on time and the craftsmanship exceeded our expectations. Most importantly, with small children and a puppy at home we always felt like they payed extra attention to safety and did an amazing job cleaning up after each day. Our highest recommendation.

    After working with a few other design and build companies, we decided to complete a remodel of our kitchen and laundry area on our first floor with Hurst. Our experience with them was excellent. Like most big projects, it hit several snags and hurdles, but the staff at Hurst was top notch and made us felt taken care of the whole way through. The design process was thorough and in-depth, and we felt like our vision was heard and that we were given style choices that reflected what we wanted. All of the staff that we met through our experience was very friendly, and they were awesome with our family pet and kids coming and going (we did the remodel during summer, so lots of foot traffic while the kids were home from school).The use of the BuilderTrend software was great for keeping the lines of communication open and kept us in the loop of what was happening every step of the way. They also did a great job keeping the job site as neat and clean as possible so we could still use our space on the weekends. We never felt like their equipment or materials was in the way.The finished product looks awesome, and weve gotten lots of compliments from friends and family about both the look and the finish. For anyone looking to do a project with a design and build company, Hurst is definitely one I recommend.

    We used Hurst to design and build a significant addition to our home. We added a three-season room as well as a ground floor master suite. The ground floor master suite included a master bedroom, master bathroom and room-sized walk-in closet. The design was incredible (thank you Tammi Graf). The workmanship was perfect (thank you Tyler Wilhelm). Hurst communicated with us very well throughout the project. We knew what the workplan was week-to-week and month-to-month. They worked around our busy schedules. The project was completed in two phases over two years. We are so happy in our updated forever home. We recommend Hurst Design Build Remodeling to anyone undertaking a big project in their home.

    Our kitchen remodel went very smoothly and was completed on schedule! I highly recommend Hurst. All members of the team were kind, respectful and took pride in their work. Very minor issues were addressed immediately and resolved. Communication was exceptional. My expectations were exceeded!

    I highly recommend Hurst for your next remodel, addition, or just general work. I have called them back over and over for several projects since 2018 .They have completed a huge full, unfinished basement remodel into a full living space, an addition to the upstairs adding a full bedroom and bath, general remodeling, and repairs in several rooms. Pat Hurst, project managers, designers and all the construction people are professional and responsive. They take you through each step and your project manager communicates throughout the project. I also recommend their Home Services Division for small projects. Zach Guthrie, the Home Services Manger, and all his staff, are helpful and make sure the job, large or small, is completed to your satisfaction. It is a comfort to know you can trust them, their work is exceptional, and they have attention to all the details covered. Five Stars all the way!

    Overall, we did a full first floor remodel with Hurst and had an overall great experience. Our project manager (Tyler) was amazing and the craftsman (especially Mike) were extremely skilled, friendly and accommodating. The design process was thorough and we landed on some options we love but would have never imagined if it was just us.The GoodAbsolute amazing craftsman on site, some truly stunning quality custom workExtremely high quality work across the boardVery strong warranty and responses on warranty itemsGood design process with lots of ideas generatedRoom for ImprovementLike any remodel, we had a few bumps along the way. Our project was in the middle of rising costs in the pandemic, so we did have some budget issues along the way. And I also got the impression the back of house office operations at Hurst were running thin at times as we did have a handful of miscommunications.

They completed a primary bath remodel and installed new floors throughout the second floor. They also replaced the balusters on the stairs. We trust the Hurst team. Their work is top notch.

    I just finished working with Hurst Design Build & Remodel on an entire house remodel & addition for a 1950s home. The Hurst Design team did a fantastic job in reimagining the space & coming up with creative ideas to modernize my house. I enjoyed working with Pat Hurst & Bridget DiFilippo on the project. Their attention to detail, design/ selection recommendations & communication were outstanding. The design process using Builder Trend app was helpful to see all project meeting notes, selections, daily project logs including pictures & invoices. The design team stayed involved through out the project. The Hurst production team did an outstanding job. Tyler Wilhelm, the project manager was very knowledgeable & kept me informed with weekly meetings. Having a project manager assigned to schedule every aspect of the construction process & to oversee the project was invaluable. Everyone on the Hurst team made you feel part of their family. Id highly recommend Hurst for any remodeling project.

    We just had a major home remodeling project completed by Hurst Design Build. It totally transformed our home & we are completely satisfied with the results.We added a dormer in the front of our home & redesigned the entire upstairs creating two separate bedrooms including a master bedroom with large walk-in closet.We decided to go with Hurst because they seemed the most organized & professional of the companies we looked into. We were not disappointed. Everyone involved was professional & highly skilled.We would not hesitate to refer any of our friends or family.

    I would highly recommend Hurst Construction and Home Service Design Team. They were professional, very skilled and overall the nicest guys to work with. They did a great job remodeling my laundry room. I always felt comfortable asking questions and felt they were honest giving the best advice.     Over the past 6 months or so we have spent a lot of time in person, over zoom, or on the phone with the Hurts Design team, especially Dennis Keller, as we explored renovating our outdoor space, kitchen, and several other projects on our first floor. As we discovered more what Hurst had to offer we were blown away. Dennis is a real down to Earth guy you can trust, something that can be hard to find these days. Even though we changed our minds several times and truly didnt know what we wanted in our renovation projects, he was extremely patient. We never felt pushed or forced into certain design ideas, but when we asked for suggestions Dennis and his team were willing and clearly more than capable of providing us some great design ideas! We just loved the process Dennis and the team at Hurst provide; discovery, concept, detail, and production phases. As we progressed through the process, Dennis provided us with updates regularly and was more than willing and available to discuss concepts/ideas when it fit our busy schedules. We knew from the beginning we wanted a company that could provide the design help and show us 3D models of what we would be getting our designs; Hurst exceeded our expectations! As a visual person, it was imperative to see the design in 3D with accurate real life dimensions for our spaces. The only unfortunate thing (or fortunate thing) was we didnt take our project to completion, but it had nothing to do with Hurst. We had an opportunity come up in our lives that required us to put the renovation projects on hold. We were saddened not to continue working with Dennis and the team because we really felt comfortable with him and trusted he would be able to give us our renovation dreams. But I do know that when we decide to build a house on our property, the first person we will be calling is Dennis and the team at Hurst!Thanks again Dennis for all your help and guidance! We really appreciate it and thoroughly enjoyed getting to know you and work with you on our designs!

    Confidence, trust, execution (not normally things you would associate with a construction project). Job finished on budget, on the exact day they said it would, and every part of the job was handled by true professionals, with constant and helpful oversight from our Project management team. From design phase, through build, couldnt have been more helpful, and would recommend without hesitation.

    We recently did a 1st floor remodel and had an incredible experience using Hurst, including our project manager Michael Maynard. He was exactly who you would want managing your project....attention to detail, customer service oriented and takes pride in all he does. The tradesmen that they employee are incredible as well. We have used Hurst for our basement and now 1st floor renovation and would highly recommend them on any project...ask for Michael!

    We were very impressed with the quality, communication and expertise exhibited by the Hurst team. From the first meeting with Pat to the final review, each person we encountered was knowledgable and professional. Catherine was helpful in making design decisions and decisive in her honest opinions of our project. She was always available and patient with our questions. Our weekly meetings with Kevin were early in the mornings and he was always on time and efficient with information. We chose Hurst for their organization in project management, and they certainly excelled in this area. This resulted in low stress for us with excellent results. Tom, Mario, Matt, Ian, and the floor guys and the trades all were polite and great to work with throughout our 8 week project. We have no complaints and only praises for this team of people. We are thankful to have had this positive experience with Hurst and look forward to planning another project with them!
