    The service was amazing!! We called and within the hour Cory was at our house! We tried two other companies that did not have after hours service. When Cory arrived he knew exactly what the problem was, and it was taken care of in under 2 hours. Cory was a total professional and made sure everything was cleaned up and in working order before he left. K&J has been a part of the Fords Colony community for over 10 years and truly showed they know what it takes to solve problems quickly. We will be signing up for a maintenance contract and will only use them from now on.

    My AC went out this early this morning (6-15-2024). The normal company I have service with couldnt do anything until tomorrow morning... I looked around and found K&J Mechical from a quick Google search. I called and was able to a same day appointment. From the time of the call to when the technician showed up, it was an hour and a half which is absolutely amazing.My technician was Walter. He was very kind and professional. He arrived and was ready to get to work. He had my AC back on within 20 minutes of being at my house. Amazing job by Walter and K&J Mechanical. 10/10! Thank you guys so much!!

    My A/C went out at my apartment on my Birthday weekend. It was out for 4 days.My management company reached out to K&J Mechanical. They came the very next day bright and early. Walter was my technician. He fixed my A/C and also gave my dog a cookie. He was such a cool guy. I really appreciate him.Thank you K&J for hiring qualified, knowledgeable personelle.     Walter did an amazing job. He came out on Friday and fixed the issue we had with our ac. By Friday night, another issue compounded and he was back out Saturday morning to fix everything. Incredibly knowledgeable, extremely personable. K&J is now my go to for HVAC needs.

    So I wanted to wait and give a real review, after the service has been used and tested and I can give an honest review. This all started when TYRONE came to my home to find out what was wrong with my Heating/AC unit. He was very professional, friendly and nice. He explained everything and was, i felt, honest about what was wrong with my unit. I felt like he was family coming to check something I didnt know how to fix. He set the tone and led me to choose this company to do my replacement of my unit. After I made the easy decision to have this company replace my entire unit they went ABOVE and BEYOND. This was just before Thanksgiving and if you recall it was raining and COLD. They knew we needed heat and came out in the rain, set up a tent and replaced our entire unit in less than a day. The staff were polite, understanding and just got the work done. I asked my neighbors (all our houses were built at the same time and we have all needed new units now) and the price was less than they spent with other companies and my entire service took less time as well. It has been several months now and everything (knock on wood) is working fine. I have not used the AC yet, but I have NO DOUBTS that if there is an issue, K&J WILL take care of it. The staff from the phone call to the handshake at the end were 100% professional. I told the owner, it felt like I was family they were taking care of. I will never be able to say enough about what this company did for my family. Thank you.

    I had an issue come up at the last minute with my split A/c heat unit and K&J were very prompt in setting up an appointment to get it looked at. My HVAC technician Corey was very thorough in explaining my problem and the solution. He returned early the next morning on time and had the problem fixed within a couple hours. They have earned a new customer!!

    Mr. Thomas was incredible to deal with. He was very friendly, responsive and helpful with all of my questions. Along with that, he had quick solutions when our air went out to repair it.     The technician (I wish we remembered his name) went above and beyond for our repair when our AC went out, we are so appreciative of his service and glad we called this company. We have a house full of pets and a newborn baby, and he recognized our stress.     From the time they took my initial call to the service techs, this company was great the whole way through. My repair ended up being a little more complicated and time consuming than normal, but the techs were very professional and were able to figure out what happened and fix it promptly.     Our A.C. stopped cooling on a Friday afternoon. I called K & J mechanical Friday night, and they sent a technician, Mr. Green, the next morning. He diagnosed the problem, gave the info to his manager, Mr. McLaurin, who provided me an immediate estimate for parts and labor for the repairs. I agreed, and they agreed to be back on Monday to make the repair. Monday, Mr. Green returned with the new Condenser fan motor, and in about two hours had my Unit working wonderfully! He worked diligently in the hot sun, to complete the job.I have great admiration and praise for him and the job he did. K & J responded quickly from the start, and provided excellent service until the job was finished. Mr Green is a cordial and extremely knowledgeable technician and a gentleman. In about 1 hours time he had my problem figured out. Even though it was a Saturday, he didnt have an attitude or act like it was a chore to be at my house. Same as his boss, Mr. McLaurin. They acted like they wanted my service and I appreciate that. The repair was reasonably priced and the quality of service was second to none. I highly recommend them, and would call them again anytime i need them. You cant go wrong with K & J.Ed Tomon, West Point Va.

    The technicians performed a thorough inspection and report for a system in a home my clients were considered purchasing. I am a real estate agent, so I meet many vendors and contractors. Thomas was able to book us an appointment much faster than wed hoped. Collins arrived on time, explained what he was going to do, and did it.     I have not been impressed by a company like K&J Mechanical in quite a while. They are professional, polite, and considerate of my time. Upon entering my home, they immediately covered their shoes with paper booties, so as not to track in any dirt. Everything was explained to me in detail. I received a text the night before as a reminder of the appointment. That day I received a phone call telling me they were on the way. And afterwards I received a phone call asking if I was pleased with the work I would highly recommend this company.

    Love love love!! 10000/10! These folks did an AMAZING job when they came out to clean and fix my AC unit. Small businesses do it soooo much better!! The process of setting up my appointment was so easy!! I called and spoke with Thomas and explained what was going on with my house and he recommended services they offered.     We had K&J Mechanical, LLC replace our system with the 2.5 ton, 16 Seer Heat Pump Package. We could not be any happier with the end result.The installation went extremely smooth. We had no hiccups in or outside of our home. The estimate and payment service was completed with little difficulty. They worked with me through the financing process at ease. I felt that the installation rate was extremely low. I recommend this company. You will be completely satisfied!

    We just wanted to say how much we appreciate the service we received form K & J Mechanical these past several days. We discovered on Thursday afternoon that our whole house A/C was not working. Analysts where here the next morning and almost immediately diagnosed the problem and passed the information to the office. Thomas was able to order the replacement part the same day, and, on Monday morning, the team was out to install it. Our A/C is now running perfectly. Kudos to all of the staff members involved who quickly and efficiently solved our problem. Great work, K & J!

    They were recommended by family and I have used them several times for service. This was the first repair call and they were able to diagnose the problem and repair it on the spot. The technicians were polite, explained the issue, fixed it, completed the winter service on my units, and were on their way. Will use again and recommend to others. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is that I would have like a heads up on the cost of the winter service when I made the appointment (since we knew what those would be.) The repair cost itself was very reasonable.

    Great company, expert technicians, stand behind their work, excellent value for the services provided. Have been getting preventative maintenance services from this company for years at two different properties. Finally decided to replace two contractor grade 16+ year old systems and upgraded to more efficient Trane systems. As usual, K&J provided prompt, professional, detail oriented and thorough work on my installations and is now providing preventative maintenance on the new systems. Highly recommended.

    I see the negative reviews and I can slightly understand a few. I wouldn’t say the customer service/ front desk is rude or unprofessional like some reviews say, but they could possibly be a little more joyous or cheerful , if those are the right words. Other than that the techs were pretty cool and finished quick. Thermostat wouldn’t turn on and they knew right away it was a bad fuse. New compressor within an hour and a half.I didn’t have any issues, or no issues yet. I think the technicians name was Robert? Not sure but I’m sure the owners can look my name up and figure out who came out. He was training a younger guy and they were both pretty cool. 👌🏼

    Cory Judge was so kind, knowledgeable, efficient about everything. He performed service regarding thermostat perfectly. Truly would recommend him to anyone for service. Cory removed bulbs and put in new ones. Everything he and Mark did Apeil 19, 2023 was so good. So thankful for Cory.

    K&J was the second company that AHS sent me when the first company failed to show up or return my call post the appointment date. I am sorry to say that I dont know the names of the first two technicians that came out but they were friendly, understood everything we conveyed to them regarding our furnace issues and quickly diagnosed the problem. A part needed to be ordered and we were notified when the part came in. Kiesha (sp?) was great about trying to work around my schedule. The first visit was scheduled from 8a-6p but I was told to call the day of and she could give me a more narrow window, which she did. When Cory came out for the install, I was given a text message that he was on his way. Cory was very personable and quick to get the job done. I did not get the name of the person that he was with but they were professional and very personable. I dreaded having to go through this experience and came away with a very positive experience. I will be calling them for my spring inspection. If you are AHS, save yourself a lot of trouble and ask for this company directly.

    Whats to say? The gentleman showed up promptly, listened to what the problem was, fixed it, and was off again after showing me what the issue was. The house is cooling, the wife is happy, and I still have permission to work from home for another day so I can play my music as loud as I like without bothering anyone, especially the technician.

    They get came when they said they would. They quickly diagnosed the problem. They made a temporary repair to give me air conditioning until they could get the right part. They came back when they said they would and made the final repair and double checked to make sure the air conditioning was working properly. They were professional.     After a week of 103+ temps with no AC and TERRIBLE customer service/lies from Hotboys- (the first company our AHS warranty assigned to our service request), we demanded another referral. The service call was referred to K & J on Sunday and we were given an email that very day, a follow up phone call on Monday by Lakeisha -hopefully I spelled her name correctly- who was very personable and responsive and even called me back on Tuesday to give me a ballpark estimate of service time within an hour and a half window. What a change from Hotboys! The technician, Cory, came out Tuesday and was friendly, professional, courteous and knowledgeable about what he was doing and even explained the problems to me in language I could understand. We were fixed up in no time. We had such a wonderful experience with K &J and just want to thank them for saving the day after weeks of disappointment and sweltering temps.

    My heat went out last night when it was 26 degrees outside, there was also a mysterious burning smell within the home. I call 2-10 HBW to make a service request in regards to the incident. I was told that it was not considered an emergency call, after I sprinkled my knowledge on them they deemed it an emergency and stated that I would be contacted by a compact by 12 the next day. So we bundled up, got creative and waited. I received an email about my request update at 9:20am, spoke with the wonderful scheduling assistant Kesha by 9:30am (who was very empathetic and assured me that I would be seen no later than 1pm) and by 11:55am there was a technician named Riley sitting outside of my door. By 12:30pm the issue was resolved, the technician was paid and I was off to get Starbucks. The technician was not only prompt but very knowledgable and informative. The technician explained to me what part had to be replaced and why. Most importantly he informed me of why the burning smell was present and how the equipment malfunctioned to cause the smell. After the technician left I went to take my barking dog back outside (my heating unit is stored in the shed) and noticed that the Riley locked my shed and my back door back up and secured the home as if it was his own. I am a sucker for customer service and I received every ounce of it when dealing with K&J! Reading the prior reviews first would have probably scared me away but to actually have my own experience with the company is an example of why I can never judge a book by its cover. Kudos to Kesha and Riley, who definitely earned K& J Mechanical a customer for life on this property and future properties that I acquire.

    This company is amazing. I saw the negative reviews but my experience was wonderful. Our AC unit went out this morning and by noon they had people out here to fix it. Which was better than 2 other companies I called, because the 2 other companies would not be able to get out here right away. We are in the heat of summer with a 4 year old and a 4 month old so it was critical to get this fixed right away. I believe Corey was one of their names I did not catch the other mans name. They were very professional, courteous, and down to earth. They did not try to charge for anything that was not needed, fixed the problem in less than 30 minutes, and did not charge an arm and a leg. They definitely have a customer for life, we will never go to anyone else with HVAC problems now. I have already started spreading the word about our experience with this company.
