The four day job started and ended according to plan. The office called one day to say the supply wharehouse was going to delay them an hour. Excellent communication is Jeremy’s specialty. They took on a job other plumbers didn’t want because it was complicated and expensive and the new photo shows “organized”plumbing vs a hodgepodge of pipes. They did a wonderful job and took great care to avoid dirtying the house.

This Christmas Eve, my propane boiler stopped working in sub freezing temps in VT with young grand children present.Called Jeremy at Jerm’s and he was sympathetic and supportive in getting assistance out to the house ASAP. Aaron came over within 24 hours and evaluated the issue and fixed it within a couple hours. He was professional, experienced; diagnosed the problem quickly and replaced the motor that wasn’t working. Thank you Jerm’s for helping out over this busy holiday period! Much appreciated!

Jerm’s was very responsive to my need to have an automatic shutoff valve installed. They sent their technician, Hunter, who has been with Jerm’s for over 7 years. What amazing service he provided!!! In the process of preparing to install the shutoff valve, he astutely diagnosed an issue with the pressure tank which was not firing correctly and if unattended would have prematurely burned out the well pump. While we were not anticipating the extra expense of replacing the pressure tank, it is money well spent to protect the useful life of the pump, which is more the twice the cost of the tank. I was thoroughly impressed with Hunter and highly recommend him and Jerm’s for your plumbing needs.

Im a firm believer in not just fixing a problem, but also explaining why it happened and how to prevent it. Essentially, I’d rather learn “how to fish” than have someone fish for me. Cody and Grant completely lived up to this philosophy. My oil furnace had multiple issues, and they didn’t just identify them—they also showed me how each problem was affecting my home’s heating. On top of that, they gave me a checklist of possible future issues and how to handle them or who to call. Overall, it was an experience worth ten stars out of five.

When it came time to swap out my 15 year old faltering Buderas propane boiler, I took the advice of my fuel supplier and called Jerms Home Services. Robin and Dawn in the office were great with a quick estimate and fit me into their schedule 3 weeks away. When my boiler failed completely this week, Dawn performed her magic and got me rescheduled for the replacement the next day. Lucas, Aaron and Chris arrived on time with all the parts they needed and completed the 2 day job in less than a day and a half. They were a pleasure to work with and did a beautiful job.I’m so happy that I found Jerm’s…it’s a very professional company with a terrific staff of technicians who spent extra time and care to explain and demonstrate the intricacies of my new system.Thank you Dawn, Aaron, Lucas, and Chris for doing such a quick and professional job of getting me up and running again. The crew from Jerm, Cody, Travis, Matt & Chris, were outstanding. It began with an urgent call on the day after Christmas. Cody responded and began working on our old boiler. He was patient, explaining everything to me and very knowledgeable. He ultimately said theres good news and bad. Good news, he hadnt yet installed parts for repair. Bad news, he discovered as he got into the boiler itself, it needed to be replaced. I was in panic mode since our little great granddaughter, a baby, and her parents were staying with us. We now had no heat and no hot water. Thankfully we had a fireplace. Michael came right away to look things over and write up an estimate the next day. Jerm also left us a couple of space heaters. Temps had been in the single digits. Dawn was very helpful and arranged the schedule so they could start the installation on Monday. Travis, Matt & Chris worked a full day Monday and they returned Tuesday, New Years eve day. They just left, so they worked more than an 8 hour day. New Years eve and they still didnt rush us through. They took time to explain everything, show us how everything worked, and cleaned everything up. Another gentleman, with a beard, joined them today and with his help, they were able to complete the job today. My husband and I couldnt be happier. It was a major investment fir us, a boiler and water heater, but I feel safe and secure. We recently had a couple of projects going on at the same time and have nothing but great things to say about our experience with Jerms.We first met with Mike to talk about a heat pump install for the house and he spent lots of time giving us the options, then came back with a quote for the project that beat a competitor (especially since it included the work completed by the electrician who was part of the crew...thank you Brian!).Mike came back with Travis to let us know where the equipment was going to go on the inside and outside so we would know what to expect. Travis and Grant then came to start their install which lasted for several days. Also on one of the first install days, Lucas (and I believe Scott) came to remove the old hot water heater and install the new one. A lot was going on but all the work was done in the most time efficient way.Everyone put covers over their shoes and then took them off and on again every time they needed to step outside. Time consuming for them and much appreciated!All members of the Jerms crew were nothing but professional. Travis and Grant moved the furniture that they needed to, vacuumed and then put the furniture back when they were done working. When they moved outside to install the condensers, they worked with Brian to run the lines in the best possible way and to minimize the visual impact in the places that had to go vertically up the side of the house.It was also a pleasure to talk with Dawn at the office for appointments and after the project started for updates on our schedule.Cant say enough good things about our experience from beginning to end.Thank you!!

Our wonderful experience with Jerms contrasted dramatically with a terrible experience we had with ARC Mechanical a year earlier. I definitely recommend Jerms!

Yet another great experience working with Jerm’s today. Cody and Eric came out to do some maintenance and repairs for our heating system and plumbing. Both were so easy to have around for the day. They were polite, friendly, communicative and got the laundry list of jobs done neatly and efficiently. I really appreciate how both of these guys are able to explain things in terms I can understand, and also approach problems with our very old system and troubleshoot without batting an eye. They are conscientious about costs and break everything down and lay out the options for approval before they do any work. As expected, we ended the day with our problems solved and systems ready for winter. Dawn and Stephanie in the office are also fantastic. Kind, genuine and proactive... Their work ethic comes across even over the phone. Five stars. Highly recommend this business.

Zach initially came to my house for a consultation. In addition to discussing the one immediate concern I had, Zach allowed me to ask about several other things I might like to fix or upgrade in the future. He was kind, patient and thorough. He worked out all of the appropriate estimates right then and there, for both present and future, and even ran out to the plumbing supply shop so he could fix my toilet handle which had just broken the day before. Three days later Zach came back with John to get the rest of the work done, which they were able to accomplish in less time than anticipated. John took care to protect my floors with drop cloths, and kindly listened to my concerns about not accidentally letting the cat out. They both made it so comfortable and easy for this lady who worries about everything. Thank you Zach and John, thank you everyone at Jerms!

We have trusted Jerm’s Home Services since 2020 with our household needs (boiler, mini-split, plumbing) and they always provide excellent service. Scheduling is a breeze by phone or through their website form. They give you a 3-hour window of arrival on the day of service by email and/or text, including a picture and name of the technician. We know we will get fair estimates that were thoroughly discussed and it’s up to us to accept or decline these. The technicians are very knowledgeable, informative, and respectful of our home in that they will put shoe protectors when they come in and clean their work areas after service. We appreciate Cody Booker, Eric Beck, Kevin Welch, and Michael McCall who have all provided service to us over the years.

Matt came and did an inspection/maintenance check on our water heater today! Matt was very informative and walked me through everything he would be doing to the water heater to complete the job and made sure I fully understood what did what, why it was essential for those things to be checked! He was very pleasant, had a very chipper attitude, was super polite and extremely considerate! He was very clear about what I was signing on his tablet when he had me sign as well! Matt was even loving towards our 8 month old pitbull who is always very excited when new people come into our home! All-in-all great experience! Scott did an outstanding job on the leaky toilet. He was polite, observant, and helpful in every way imaginable. He was also very personable, asked good questions and seemed genuinely interested in the water system in the house. When I asked Scott about how to increase the water pressure in the house, he gave me two very thoughtful options, along with estimates for each. By the time he finished the job, I felt like we had come to know and respect each other! It’s very helpful and comforting to someone as likable and professional as Scott working on delicate systems in the house.

My first interaction with Jerms was with Stephine who answered the phone. She was very polite and professional, and helped me schedule a tech to come out and see why my water wasnt running. She was able to get me a tech quickly, and Eric showed up promptly at the time he was slated to arrive. Eric was very polite, and attentive, and was able to troubleshoot my issue confidently. He offered several different choices for repairs, and upgrades, and showed me detailed quotes for each. I chose to replace the water tank and associated hardware, which he did quite expertly. The before and after pictures are night and day. I will definitely look to using Jerms again in the future, and would recommend them to anyone looking for a good plumber.

We were having some issues with drainage in our septic system that we couldnt figure out. I gave Jerms a call and spoke with a very pleasant receptionist who scheduled an appointment for us right away. Jeremy came out and immediately diagnosed a filter issue in the system that I was not aware of. He fixed that issue and installed a backflow preventer to help mitigate any future sewage backup. We were very happy with the service and professionalism of the Jerms team. I would highly recommend them for any of your plumbing/home service related needs.

I have used Jerms many times for my home. From the standard maintenance of our boiler, heat pump, and air conditioner to moving our baseboard heaters, rearanging the roughing in a bathroom to our everyday pluming issues, they truly exceed our expectations. Their techs are friendly and knowledgable. The company itself is by far the most professional business in he Upper Valley. They return your calls in an acceptable time, they keep you informed every step of the way and most important, they show up when the say they will. On this particular service call, I want to point out how pleasant it was to work with Aaron. How thorough and detail oriented he was in his work on our unit made me really take notice. Even the parts you dont see were care for properly. Awesome work Aaron! As a person also in the trades I personally want to note that I am amazed how the company keeps their techs happy. The simple things such as The trucks are clean not just on the outside but well organized inside. Even in the winter Ive noticed studded snow tires on there trucks. Truly a company I have no hesitation recommending.

Where do I start? Jerms has saved us countless times since moving to the area a few months ago. Whether its a plumbing issue or heating issue, I wont trust anyone else with my home systems. I know theyre going to get the job done correctly, the first time, with honesty and integrity. We recently had Jerms come out to fix a thermostat and boiler control panel issue that had been mishandled over multiple trips by another company. Aaron and Nick paid special attention to our boiler, the control panel, and wiring to make sure everything was in order, and tested the system multiple times before turning it back over to us. I’ve been using Jerms since I moved here a couple years ago for big and small things. First, I can’t say enough good things about their communications: scheduling, arrival Our state of the art with text or emails Second, their prompt, willing to go the extra mile to get to my place out in the sticks, which is important here in Vermont. Once here they do a thorough evaluation and provide an estimate before they do any work and have a touchpad for you to sign off On the work. They are very clean and fastidious using little booties. Third, every tech that they have sent Is fully competent, and articulate and friendly. Before they start, they give you a full dollar estimate and explain the pros and cons and your options. Fourth they always come with all the parts needed, especially when they encounter unexpected issues. That gets everything done the same day . Their billing is excellent. You can either pay on the spot electronically or have them bill you and you can do it over the web.. Fifth, they’re big enough to have enough staff to be able to Get an appointment in a reasonable amount of time. If there was any downside, it’s not they are a little more expensive than most. That said you’re not just paying for the parts and labor; You’re paying for a solid operation that you can depend on is trustworthy and timely. They also stand behind their work . I’ve on five homes and inspected all of their work and always found it top-notch . There’s also no price you can put on The time saved and the convenience they offer. Time is money and that means your time too. I’ve done a lot of work with them, including splits, installations, new kitchen, new bath, extending and enhancing the heating systems, and annual maintenance. When I was trying to decide about air-conditioning, they actually brought in a manufacturers rep to go over the different types of systems to consider their specific advice for my specific house.Tunbridge is probably on the margins of their service area. They never complained and always been here for me.Shout out to Aaron and Derrick who did a total review of the propane-fired boiler installation. At my request, they replaced various minor components which were nearing the end of their life. I didnt want to wait for some cold snowy night during mud season for a failure. They also gave me great advice on operation and upkeep.Shout out also to Scott who did annual maintenance and inspection on my heat-exchange hot water heater and water conditioner. Made sure nothing was clogged. In past homes Ive had leaks that could have been prevented, so this was appreciated.Final shout out to Dawn, who has been my primary contact at Jerms, always answering the phone and working with me to schedule appropriate service and installation. Shes never dropped a ball!

We previously called Jerms to come for a clogged pipe. They were the only company out of that answered (6 others didnt even call back.) When it came time for routine furnace needs, I called Jerms instead of our normal company just because of the experience making an appointment before and the one stop option for HVAC and plumbing. I have incredibly high standards, and everything was great from scheduling to follow-up. I had a question about a future need and received a call from their team within minutes of the HVAC team leaving. The up front pricing and $99 assessment fee (which is waived if work is performed) make caring for these home systems and planning for future needs less stressful and affordable. Cody and Matt were very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable.

Jerms might be one of the best companies weve ever worked with. We had Tony come do the initial estimates for replacing our boiler, water heater, and well pressure tank and he was thorough, knew his product line, and made terrific recommendations and we had already had a few estimates done. We decided to go with Jerms and anytime you make a decision involving such an investment in your home you get nervous but we didnt from the beginning with Jerms. The job itself was 2 days and before each day you get a text with who your team lead is and notifying that theyre on their way which I felt was a step beyond what other contractors do to ensure they have good communications with customers. Great start and then our team of Travis, Lucas, and Austin was outstanding from the second they arrived. All materials were on site and ready to go, the team communicated very effectively with us on when water would go off and be back on etc... , and the efficiency and nose to the grindstone effort was obvious when we saw how far theyd gotten the very first day. The end result by Travis and his team was a beautiful install, done with quality in mind, and we are now probably customers for life. There are still A+ contractors out there and theyre hard to find but Jerms did an amazing job and couldnt recommend them more highly to anyone seeking experts to do work on their homes

I called Jerms after several winters of having my propane delivery company repair breakdowns to my heating system, when I could finally afford a full system replacement. They were timely in sending out someone for an estimate, who was able to give me options with prices that same day. On all 3 days of the project, Jeremy and Eric were on time, professional and hard working. They answered all of the many questions I had and were happy to ensure I understood every part of the new system. They installed a new boiler, water heater, and all associated systems, as seen in the picture.I was also aware before they arrived of a few smaller plumbing issues I wanted to deal with later, but when they went in the crawl space, they were able to inform me that my pressure tank from the ‘80s had failed. Go figure. With my satisfaction from their work on the full heating system, I decided to move forward with the plumbing repairs as well. Because Jeremy spoke with the tech that was coming for the plumbing fixes, the tech TC was well prepared to come out for the estimate, give me options same day, and also do the actual repairs and install that day as well. TC was similarly punctual, professional, and hard working. I was again fully educated on the repairs and new installs, as I was with the heating portion of their business. TC installed a new pressure tank, a whole home filter system to deal with my sediment, and replaced the flush seal in my toilet tank.I am extremely pleased with the service I received from both sides of Jerm’s Plumbing and Heating, and the end result of both; I would recommend Jerm’s highly for any heating or plumbing needs you may have, based on my experience with them.Edit: In addition, now that theyve also come to remove the parts of the old heating system, Id like to add how clean they are as well, something I hadnt really considered when thinking about the project, until I noticed that now that everything is done, there isnt a mark anywhere to signify that a sometimes messy job took place here. Tony was amazing in his initial assessment and estimate for a heat pump, and he came over while the work was been done to make sure everything went smoothly. Travis and Austin were amazing in their attention to detail, and Travis in particular made an important last-minute call about installing a different unit. They were able to complete the work the next day, and things could not have turned out better. I also used Jerm’s on another occasion to fix a rattling radiator (a circulator needed to be replaced by the boiler). Aaron and Chris immediately identified and fixed the problem—the Other Guys spent 2 hours here a few weeks prior and $600 later they still hadn’t fixed it. At the start of the pandemic Jerms crew installed a mini-split (heat pump) for us. Great, efficient crew coordinating with the equipment drop off, electrician and plumbers/HVAC specialists.After recently installing solar, I had them service my propane boiler and on Jeremy suggested upgrading to a hybrid hot water tank to take advantage of all of the electricity weve been generating. Great idea so I had them back to install a highly efficient hybrid hot water tank from Rheem.….Just had Travis and Austin install another mini split - excellent work as always.…..Once again Jeremy and Travis did a professional job. They even spotted and replaced a part in the old plumbing that looked suspect.….When you want something done right, call the pros and these guys are it.

Election Day.Tired of the chinese water torture of a dripping shower faucet we called Jerm’s for help. Eric took care of it in no time at all in the friendly and professional manner practiced by Jerm’s technicians. Thank you.2nd week of September, 2024:The incoming city water supply sprang a leak in the basement. Not too unusual but a little alarming for the electrician working 2-3 feet away installing cabling etc for our new solar power system. I called Jerm’s, explained the situation, and Eric Beck was diverted to answer our emergency. He quickly identified what needed to be done, explained the course of action, went away to get the parts, and returned to restore water flow. It was excellent service, but not the end of the story. Little did Eric know that he would be back the next day to do further work to restore the water pressure, which was victim to a failing backflow preventer. And just for good measure he replaced an ancient pressure regulator with a modern, up-to-date piece of equipment. Thank you Eric and Jerm’s for responding so quickly to get us out of a jam.2nd week of May 2024:We switched the thermostats off because who needs heat now spring is well and truly here? Then, to our surprise, hot water continued to flow around one of the circuits. Time to call Jerm’s and ask for help. Less than 24 hours later Aaron had diagnosed the problem, and less than 48 hours later he had returned with new parts to fix the problem. Thank you Aaron and Jerm’s for the quick response, and friendly, professional service. Jerm’s, and technicians like Aaron, really understand and practice good customer service. Make Jerm’s your go-to local business for your heating and related needs.Late March 2024:Kevin – professional and friendly – came to service our boiler. He did that, and more, thanks to his thorough, systematic inspection of other equipment. Now my boiler is good to go for some time to come, and I also have a new pressure expansion tank on the water heater & a new backflow preventer on the boiler to protect the drinking water supply. Safety has been restored. I appreciated how Kevin explained what he would do during his visit and the rationale for each of the equipment replacements. Thank you! I recommend Jerms Home Services.

So much so that they were done in less than 2 hrs. . Not their doing but the expense (parts & labor) for the work done was easily twice what I thought it would be (cost). Such efficiency has caused me to question the amount charged for the work done. It nets to approx. $500 / hr. or $250/hr. Per technician. Thats rich!

Kyle and John (electricians) explained the code needs as they routed a new circuit to the external installation site. From the gals that answer the phone to crews that showed up, they represent their company well. Jeremy and Cody were great. They came prepared with booties for their feet, drop cloths, spray cleaner and they swept and vacuumed when they were done. We have always had fantastic service from Jerm’s and today was no exception. We woke up to pin hole leak in the main pipe coming into the house, below the water shut off valve. We called Jerm’s right away who said they didn’t have a slot but would call if something opened up. We called another dozen or so plumbers who either didn’t answer or offered appointments next week. Jerm’s came through and sent Hunter to us around 2:00. He was polite and patient, working with the town to find our curb shut off. He quickly fixed the problem and saved us having to cancel our weekend plans. He was efficient, tidy, and even shared a popsicle with the kids who wanted to be a part of the action. Great service. Highly recommend!

July 10, 2024We had 2 mini split cassettes/1 outside condenser unit installed recently by Jerms Home Services.Mike came out to assess our A/C needs within a couple of days of our request. Detailed estimates were turned around quickly and all of our questions were timely answered. Estimates were reasonable compared to other companies.Dawn took care of the permitting paperwork and submission to our town. The units were ready for installation 2 weeks after ordering them.The installers, Travis and Chris were very knowledgeable, efficient and courteous. They installed the units in about 6 hours and our homes location on the side of a steep hill isnt the easiest to work on.Travis and Chris took the time to show us the various remote functions, filter cleaning, etc., and otherwise answered all of our questions. So far everything is working well!We highly recommend them.Our Viessmann boilers ignition shut off again last night. We werent able to re-start it and we werent getting any heat from our under floor radiant heating system. This had been an intermittent problem for a couple of weeks, but we were always able to get the boiler to fire up again by re-booting. We called Jerms P & H this morning and they were able to send Jeremy out within an hour of when we called. He quickly diagnosed that there was a malfunctioning boiler temperature sensor.and he replaced it. This corrected the communication between the new sensor and the boiler and thermostats, allowing the proper level of heat to circulate.Jeremy knows his stuff! He was responsive, professional and informative. He made some other helpful and useful suggestions about improving the operation of our system.We had used Jerms once before for a different service and are highly satisfied with them.

What started out as a day with no running water turned out to be a pretty good day after all. I called four plumbing companies and for some reason or another they made excuses to why they could not make it out, and this was a Friday, I did not want to wait all weekend. Then I called Jerms, they took my information and within two hours two young men were at my door, They sent an e-mail saying they were on the way and a picture of the service men who were coming. They were so polite! So professional, and went straight to work. My well pump had stopped working and in less then three hours they had replaced it and some kind of switch thingy and presto the water was flowing again.
