I used Luminous a couple of months ago to wire a whole house and upgrade a panel. Nick of Luminous was the ideal contractor. From the moment I solicited a bid, Nick responded to my inquiry quickly and professionally. He took time to understand the needs of my project and offered suggestions to make the layout and the whole process one smooth project. Nick is always responsive and goes out of his way to make his customers happy. Nick is a professional and is very knowledgeable of his trade. Nick worked late hours and was flexible with scheduling that catered to my needs. You dont typically find this service with busy contractors. Nicks pricing is also very competitive to the point that he has become my go-to electrician. I have already hired Nick to do all the electrical on a new project that I have begun - a 5 BR 3,600 sq ft build from the ground up. This is the third job he is doing for me in the last 3 months. He passes town inspection on the first inspection. You never have to worry about having to correct anything. I highly recommend Nick and his team for any project as he will be sure to do the job quick, correct, and at a great price.

Excellent work. ! Nick and his crew showed up on time with smiles and a truck prepared for everything. . I hired Luminous Electric to add a new grounded outlet for my wall air conditioner. His men had to search the wall to make it happen, but did a neat job and cleaned up after the work was finished. His crew also replaced a broken wire in my garage and when they discovered that the electricity was intermittent, they tracked the problem and rewired the line with new outlets and switches. This was more than I had expected, but Nick texted me with a price quote before they performed the extra work. I found his prices reasonable and the quality of work excellent. I had to leave for awhile but the men continued to work unsupervised. They completed the work and I am very pleased with everything. Nick was very pleasant to work with and I am sure that I will hire him again.

Nick gave me a clear breakdown of the cost for the work. He started the work as scheduled. He recommended products that work well. The job was done on time and at the cost that was quoted. He even followed up on the work done to make sure all is good. This is the first time I have heard back from a contractor to make sure all is good. Were in the process of moving and needed to have work done quickly, and after reading tons of reviews, called Luminous Electric, and couldnt have been happier. Nick was wonderful--came almost immediately, explained everything that needed to be done, and scheduled the job right away. Nick was awesome form the start, we had a tricky situation, which was to run high amperage power from our main panel in the garage to our pool equipment pad about 300 feet away. We had existing cable run, and hoped to not have to re-run cable.Nick came out the day I called (a Sunday) about 20 minutes after we spoke. He looked at the job and did the math to determine if we could reuse existing cable for the underground portion. All was determined to be fine. Nick scheduled with us for the following week. Two days prior to the installation the weather forecast was for rain on the day of the installation, Nick called to let me know he would need to reschedule (perfectly reasonable given the very high power and water not being a good combination). We agreed on the new schedule and Nick arrived on time. He did the work we planned on, and helped me with a few other much more minor things for a perfect job.Im the type of client who knows enough to be dangerous (or annoying), and Nick was patient with my questions and curiosity and was willing to be as technical in his explanaitions as I wanted to go. That is important to me in the long-term relationship. Our house is roughly 3500 sq ft with 400-amp service, we value a good relationship with an electrician and we were glad to have such a positive experience with Nick.

We did a full renovation of our home and Nick and his crew put in new lighting, new outlets, CAT6 Ethernet, an electric car charging plug and a whole house generator. Things didnt always go as planned (the generator was defective), but he took responsibility when I felt it was his and we got everything done. I have great respect for Nick - he is very smart about planning the job, doesnt nickel and dime you, and is honest. the quality of the work is excellent; I heard him multiple times telling his crew to, do it right as he trained them, and he always double checked their work when he didnt directly see his crew do the work. I would, for sure, use him again.

Nick and his crew removed all knob and tubing and rewired my entire two family home as well as added additional lights, light switches, outlets and installed smoke alarms throughout the house to bring it up to code.I found Luminous Electric online after searching for electricians who specialized in removing knob and tubing. The owner Nick came to my home and explained everything that needed to be done thoroughly, he was very informative. Besides the knob and tubing my other huge concerned was how many holes and how big the holes were going to be, Nick and his crew kept the holes to a minimum. Nick and his crew were always punctual, respectful and they made sure they cleaned up before they left. Nick met the timeline he gave me and made this entire project less stressful. I highly recommend Luminous Electric, Nick and his crew will get the job done in a timely matter. I will definitely use them again for future projects!

Nick the owner f Luminous did an amazing job at installing our Tesla charger in our condo. Since we live in a condo building we needed an additional box to install. He was able to reach out to the supplier and get all the necessary components. He was very professional and efficient. Even after the latest storm, when the charger powered off he came over and reached out to the supplier of the box to help reset it. Again super professional. I would highly recommend him.

Since buying our house in Wayne in 2016, we’ve worked with Luminous Electric on several projects. Needing a lot of work done, we were uncertain on who to go with but after reading tons of positive reviews we decided on Luminous. We’re glad we did because Nick and his team have been nothing but professional, easy to work with, upfront and reasonable on costs. Some of the projects Luminous has done over the last two years include: new main circuit panel, upgrade smoke/carbon integrated alarm system, relocate/put in new outlets, mounted TV with behind the wall wiring, install multiple fans, replace several lighting fixtures, replace attic fan, install several outdoor flood lights and setup multiple Nest cameras. We plan on using them again this summer for a few more projects and definitely would recommend to anyone in the area.

Nick and his crew at Luminous Lint have all of the qualities one looks for in an electrician professional in terms of good communication skills and workmanship. In their most recent job for me in a century old multi-unit building in Bergen County, he rewired the entire apartment up to code, installed multiple lighting fixtures and a ceiling fan and two GFI breakers. His estimates are complete and reasonably priced, the crew is professional and courteous and the work was completed to my complete satisfaction. Ditto on another occasion when he needed to troubleshoot and address numerous hard-wired fire detectors in the common areas which included multiple visits due to unanticipated challenges. Its great working with Nick and his crew, hard-working, responsible electricians!

I decided to check out my options to hire at Angies List. Number of licensed electricans showed up as a result of my search. Started calling and making appointments to see what needed to be done and what would it cost me.The owner of Luminuous Electric Nick came instead of sending someone else to address my concern. Unlike some other companies, he came at the date and time he said he would. He knew exactly what needed to be done, how long it would take, and what it would cost.It was obvious for me that he wasprofessional in his work. His price was also far more reasonable than what others have quoted me. I decided to hire him.He called me in advance to confirm that he was going to be here on the date promised. Showed up with his crew, worked as a team, and finished the work to my satisfaction. His team is very courteous, friendly, and professional. Once the work was done, everything was tested and worked flawlessly. They cleaned up any mess caused during the process before leaving.I checked online for the brand of the equipment they used. I was excited and happy to find out that they were among some of the best quality that are recommended by other professionals in the field.Few weeks after, the inspector came and approved all the work Luminuous Electric did around the house. Nick also showed up on the day of the inspection. I was happy to see how he takes responsibility and takes the work he has done seriously. He called back immediately when I had to call him a few times to ask some basic questions.It has been two months now and everything is working perfectly without any issues. I have hired him for the 2nd time to install a new security system to my home. Luminous has done a lot of work for me in my home. Most recently we had Luminous run a 220v line for an outdoor outlet to charge an Electric Vehicle.Theyre reliable, courteous and professional in every way possible. Prices were fair and their work is neat and clean.

I hired a horrible electrician over the summer whom I had to get rid of because he drilled holes into my ceiling that led into my hardwood floors above. I hired luminous electric to finish the work which I found out that the previous electrician butcher my walls and ran wires to outlet and lights incorrectly which caused a spark creating a fire hazard. An expensive lesson learned, but I’m so grateful for them fixing the issue I had and will hire these guys anytime. They are professional, rates are reasonable and the quality of work shows.

We needed electrical work done in various rental units and Nick and his team were fantastic to work with. Promptly responses to emails and texts throughout all the projects, willing to work around our schedules for appointments, and also helped us when we were in a crunch and needed work done ASAP. COI was required in the various units and they promptly acquired all necessary paperwork and sent it over without delay. Extremely reasonably priced and I appreciated that they did not push unnecessary work to be done and even gave me suggestions for alternative cost lowering options for our projects. Most importantly they know what they are doing and will complete the job as promised, no fuss no muss. On several occasions, Nick has even answered some general questions I had and given me his diagnosis of the issues without charge. Will only call them for any electrical work now!

I cannot express enough, how much we enjoyed working with Nick and Luminous Electric! As new and first time home owners, of an older home we were quite concerned when it came to building our catalog of trusted home professionals.We worked with an HVAC company who recommended Nick, and we were so glad they did. Nick and his team truly care about each customer and the work they do. Purchasing a multi-family home built in the 1800s the house definitely needed some upgrades. Nick was able to walk us through all that needed to be done to update the electrical panels, address any circuit issues we/our tenants experienced and was always prompt to reply. He also provided quotes and explanations prior to doing any work on our property. We really appreciated how he helped us understand what was going on, and our options.What really set Nick apart though, is his customer service. Upgrading the panels and moving the meters on an older home unexpectedly turned into a HUGE headache with the city. Nick took ownership of requesting all of the permits and even came to our property to be present for the multiple inspections that were required and meetings with PSEG on the safest location to move the meters.It literally took months to get the city to sign-off of on the updates we needed and Nick was nothing but patient with our project. In fact, he kept apologizing to us - even though the situation had nothing to do with his work.We also greatly appreciated how Nick truly does run his business by the book. Legally, you should not pay for work until the city signs off on it - given that our situation took months and we did several other jobs we could not believe how understanding Nick was compared to other technicians weve worked with. Once the city signed-off (nearly 4 months later!), he sent a detailed invoice, even offering to deduct a $100 fee the city charged us. Hands down the best service weve received (which is saying a lot given how many repairs weve done).Were so happy we found Luminous Electric and will definitely be using them for any electrical needs in the future! Highly recommend!
