Horch Roofing is great to work with. Even though our project isa little tricky logistically, Horch was communicative and arrived on schedule. The foreman and crew were friendly and knowledgeable. They encountered a major rot area on the roof and immediately brought it to my attention. With a phone call from the project manager we came up with a plan. Horch had to leave the island while the framing was fixed and were back in a timely manner to complete the roof project. I am completely comfortable with how Horch, from office to crew, handled what could have been a disastrous situation with outstanding professionalism.Kudos to Heidi, Sheldon, and the rest of the crew.

My project was a workshop roof. I was running late getting to my initial meeting with Alex and he had the courtesy and patience to wait. Estimate was received promptly- Once i sent my deposit they were here within a couple weeks. The crew arrived at 8 am- project completed by 3 pm with no evidence, other than the roof, they had been here. Unreal. Now i have a dry, comfortable work space. Absolutely outstanding crew. They paused for about 30 mins for lunch, but were otherwise akin to very large ants crawling over the roof...perpetually in motion and simply getting things done.Pulled off the old standing seam roof and discovered nearly half the roof needed decking replaced. That discovery barely made a blip on their timeline. Replaced decking, brand new perfect standing seam roof...and they were even able to re attach the flagpole brace on our 1800s schoolhouse.Recommend Horch unconditionally and a special shout out to that crew. Outstanding.

Ive never had any roofing work done in the past without finding little clear plastic strips and old nails all over my yard. This time, there was virtually no evidence that work had been done other than a beautiful new roof! Tony B was *outstanding* to work with and really went above and beyond in helping us select the right shingle color. He seemed genuinely invested in our small project and was just a really nice person. The team at Horch made the process easy (and quick) and I would highly recommend their services!

11/5/24Had our roof redone yesterday. The crew was all Ecuadorian and they were great. Took them about 30 minutes to set up and off they went, just great. They replaced our roof, a skylight and reflashed 2 chimneys. They even took down and reattached our Directv dish. Today theres a knock on our door and its the Horch GM who asked if they could do a walk around to make sure everything was done properly!We highly reccomend.Jerry and Judy Angell

I now love rainy days. The best part is watching rain flow from the downspouts at the ends of my new gutter system. Rain used to create mold on my back clapboards and, if there was a real downpour, it would sneak into my back porch room. We at Fairview Farms had one of our roofs replaced very recently. We couldnt be any happier with the process. The crew came in early am and left around dinner time. It took them two days to complete the new roof. It was a large crew that stripped off all the old shingles and put on the new. They were completely organized and professional throughout the whole process. They cleaned any and all debris up and took to the dump. When all was done they walk around with magnetic sweeps and made sure that to remove any nails that may had fallen.I recommend them highly for all the above reasons and will be using them again as we have 3 more buildings that will need roofs in the next few years.

Our project included a new asphalt roof on the upper and metal on the lower roof. We were extremely satisfied with the entire project, especially with the level of communication throughout -- we never felt in the dark, and always knew what to expect. Despite the weather, the actual project took two days. The crew showed up on time, worked diligently and did a good job cleaning up. The results were wonderful. Last Fall when I was asking for bids on this job I spoke with five different roofing contractors - Horsch gave us an extremely competitive bid, explained all of our choices and and showed up to do the work as agreed. Several of the other roofing contractors told us that they were a first class company. It is the mark of a great company when your competitors speak well of you. I have already recommended them to several of our neighbors and would use them again in a moment.

There is a saying in Maine that basically states anyone can be a roofer and this is true, but not every roofer is the right roofer. Horch Roofing came highly recommended from a friend so I reached out to them about my Grandparents place in the Blue Hill area a couple of years ago. Tim was the Sales Estimator and was diligent, professional, and more importantly on time! He called when he said he would call, showed up on time, and spent as more than enough time talking to myself and grandparents through the process (and he liked our dogs and cats which was nice to see!). The estimate was a little more than we thought it would be, but was still very competitive with the others and we really appreciated the PDF with all the information we could ever want. The communication between everyone at Horch Roofing proved to be amazing as Meg (the Production Coordinator) was able to work with our schedule requests and a couple of changes to the project. Brett was the Project Manager and was amazing with his knowledge about roofing, his humor, and I loved his interaction with his crew. I cannot stress enough how impressed we were with the sub-crew and Brett. They showed up on time, immediately started working and worked late into the day to get the project done in one day. And the best part was the cleanup. 2+ years later and we still have not found one nail or one piece of shingle debris. My parents were impressed enough that they are going to be calling Horch Roofing when they get back next Spring to do their roof!

I live in Los Angeles. Bought a beautiful two story colonial in Camden Menearly 2 years ago. During the remodel effort, i had to work with over 15 different subcontractors/companies- 14 of which would rarely return a phone call or an email, or show up for work on the day they said they would. Mike Ashley and the team at Horch was the complete opposite. I needed a new roof and new gutters- he would return calls within 15 minutes, arrive exactly when he said he would, the crew showed up exactly when he said they would, they did a great job, and Mike even helped me find someone to do complex facia work so the gutters could get hung. And this was during a period when i was in L.A. and had to trust Mike at his word. I am very grateful to Mike who operates with such a high level of integrity, that i needed to share this story. I rarely write reviews. Bottom line, my frustration working with 95% of everyone else was outshined by the 5% experience working with Horch. This is a group of true professionals.

Horch just put a new asphalt shingle roof on our house. We thought the price reasonable; it was $7,500 less than a competitive estimate from a local contractor. Their communication was excellent.. Horch sent a large crew so that the work went quickly, and they completed the job in a two day window of dry weather that they had selected by watching the weather report. They were punctual, courteous, proficient, and easy to deal with. Their cleanup was amazing and we have not found any shingle scraps or nails around the house. They left us some extra shingles in case repairs are ever necessary.. The day after completion, it rained heavily all day, and the rain poured off the roof down the gutters, which the roofers had not disturbed. We were very pleased with the quality of Horch’s work. We recommend Horch Roofing without qualification and would happily use them again.

An estimate was provided quickly when Zack came to access the damage a few days later. (sorry I forgot names) Within a week two young men showed up to replace boards and properly seal the roof. Today, Friday June 9th, the crew from Horch Roofing completed the reroofing of our summer house on Branch Lake. My wife and I could not be more pleased with the entire process of dealing with your company.Starting with a visit from John Monroe, Sales Estimater, and then scheduling the project with Tori Bathgate, Production Coordinator, the process started on a high note. Dealing with rain issues, Tori was able to get the crew here yesterday at noon.They arrived with Thomas Boynton as the Foreman. Alex Yamasca was the lead man directing the installation team.I can’t ever remember seeing a group of workers approach a job like this with such enthusiasm. They were amazing. Constant motion. Never taking a break. And they worked like they really knew what they were doing. They obviously did. I told Thomas that they must have done this before. He responded; absolutely!It didn’t stop there. My experience from initial contact by Dale Leighton, who prepared the project estimate, to Peter Wallace, who called to schedule the work, and then onto Chris Caron, who was the on-site project manager, and his phenomenal roofing crew was top notch. My residential project was estimated to require about 5 business days to remove and replace all the shingles along with the underlying roofing barrier and ice & water shield on a two-story, high-pitched roof with a variety of roof lines and design features.The crew started the project in mid-January, worked furiously through frigid cold for three days, buttoned up the site to withstand a snowstorm and high winds, and then returned to finish the remainder of the project on time over two more chilly days. Chris did a tremendous job of actively communicating with me throughout the project and working with his crew, who were not only talented and industrious, but not one bit deterred by the cold weather conditions they faced. I was very impressed by everyone involved, particularly with Chris and his awesome crew, and I was equally as pleased with the final product.My new roof looks great and has already withstood several snow storms and high wind events with flying colors. The real beauty part of it is that I no longer have to rake the roof in winter. The snow just slides right off after a few days. At 76 years old, that was getting to be a real drag. My family bought an old car garage in 1978, we turned it into a cottage, it had two asphalt roofs on it since purchase date. It needed a new roof and I decided that the ol avocado green and goldenrod yellow look was out, so a new metal roof was decided upon. Wow, so happy I had it done and by Horch. The work was performed quickly and professionally - other than the new roof there was no evidence they had been working on the premises (no damage, all refuse removed, etc.). I was planning for solar panel installation and wanted a metal raised seam roof for below the panels to avoid the need to reroof once the panels were installed. I had my first site visit pre-covid for a working estimate. Then I chose to delay the project until the economic effects of covid were known. Through all the communications, Horch employees were professional, informative, on time and very, very attentive to my project. I love the outcome of the new roof (the panels attached perfectly) and the new gutters with leaf guard. I enthusiastically recommend this company completely!!

I was so impressed at how hard each and every one of them worked. When I woke up on Sunday not only did we have 2 really sharp looking roofs but every piece of lawn furniture was back in place, patio and driveway swept. It was amazing! I called and told them about my situation and asked about cancellations to the contract. They could not have been more friendly and professional in the way they treated me and my situation.
