My husband and I received estimates from probably 7-8 companies for our major home renovation before deciding on Essenter, Inc.. Our plans included a new roof, new windows and relocating some, new siding, adding a covered porch, and several smaller interior projects. This wasnt a project we were taking lightly given the budget and scope of work. We have been working with Mike Essenter for a few months now and its nice to feel confident referring a contractor. He communicated with us throughout the process and let us know of any issues or possibilities. There werent any surprises by him or our 103 year old home. Mike is honest and fair. Essenter, Inc. is a locally owned small business that can handle big projects.

We hired Essenter Inc to replace two exterior doors on our house and install two new appliances. Upon our first appointment we were so comfortable with Mike as he was walking through our house discussing the scope of work that we signed a contract on the spot. He is professional, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced. He also communicated with us throughout the process keeping us updated on the work being done and why. Before this job was over we were already asking for estimates to have additional work to our home completed. For the first time in our 10 years of homeownership we feel as though we’ve found a contractor we can call for any job big or small. Very impressed!

Had a leaking slate roof that was over 100 years old. Mike performed the repairs quickly and then recommended a full roof replacement, which I knew was coming but afraid to tackle due to cost. Mike provided an affordable quote and completed the roof replacement within 3 weeks of signing contract. Very conscientious and clean. Appreciated the good work. Will definitely work with Mike in the future.

Mike Essenter completed a beautiful wrap around deck for me on the back of my house, as well as an above ground pool deck that wraps around 1/3 of the pool. He also enclosed a “junk” area in the back of my garage with vinyl fencing to hide yard toys and equipment.
