I want to complement Sergio Torres (one of the technicians) working at Carter services.Today he came and fixed my subzero freezer. I thought I was going to need a new compressor. But he very wisely check the relay on the freezer and end up costing a fraction of what the new compressor wouldve.Ive used them for several jobs and theyre an excellent company and I would highly recommend them. They have integrity. Theyre honest. And theyre reliable.

Josh was extremely helpful. He found that in trying to install our new thermostat ourselves, we had! Shorted out some wires connected to our heater. He repaired those, and told us that the thermostat we had bought was not suitable for our heater. He is in, went back to his shop and got a thermostat that would work for us, brought it back, installed it instructed us in using it and made sure that it was set correctly. We were very grateful for his help and his work.

Recently, our refrigerator needed a special part, and they went above and beyond to get it fixed in just one day. Another technician even went out of their way to pick up the part and bring it over. The knowledge and skill of their technicians are unmatched, and the quality of their work is consistently excellent. I cant recommend them enough for anyone in need of reliable and efficient appliance repair.

Trouble shooting the problem, removing and replacing the defective part, pressure transducer.Sept 2023 a new Carrier heater model 58SU0A was installed in my home.Nov 2024 Pressure Transducer had to be replaced.Carrier, knew that there is a problem with this part..yet installed this system.I am not the only customer having this problem.Though the part is under warranty it still cost me $400, labor fee to install.This could have been avoided if Carrier was thinking about the customerThank youDomingo chong

Jerry was amazing tasked with converting our gas Wolf range and oven from gas to liquid propane. We bought the conversion kit directly from SubZero Wolf and he spent hours taking apart the range and oven doing the conversion. Hes a consummate professional and was on time, courteous and completed the job with a smile. We were so impressed that we asked him to come back and repair our washing machine when that broke the next day!

Carter Services response was great. From the time we called to having the refrigerator repair completed was less than 4 hours. The office help was wonderful. She was able to contact Jerry Fisher on the road. Jerry showed up within 30 minutes of the service window start time. (I was able to track his route similar to UBER, which was pretty cool). He emptied the freezer and located the problem quickly. He didnt have a replacement motor in his vehicle or at the office, but was able to find a coworker at a nearby location who had the correct motor. Jerry went to his coworkers location and retrieved the new part within minutes. I was really surprised how quickly Jerry returned with the new part. He replaced the motor and had the refrigerator up and running within minutes. Outstanding team work by the entire organization!

Staffed with consummate professionals...from the friendly, very competent office staff with terrific people skills, to the knowledgeable, highly skilled technicians, it is an always a pleasure to call and work with Carter services! Today was no exception. I called for help with a couple of plumbing issues (one toilet - not flushing properly and another toilet - running 24/7). Plumbers Ben and Miguel came out, determined what the issues were, provided a detailed cost, time frame estimate and then did a great job with the repairs. Called on a Tuesday and setup an appointment for a dryer that wouldnt heat so they scheduled a n appointment for Friday and then they called a day early and had time to come that day. Within about 30 mins they repaired it. They actually had the part on the truck. Very professional and great service. If you call them from Google it may show a Texas number dont worry they also have a Google number so it shows that.

Carter Services provides plumbing, electrical, air conditioning and electrical. They also fix stoves in that mix. Today I had Mr. Lo working on my ice maker. He also noted that on Whirlpool refrigerators to keep the seals clean. Instead of charging me to replace the seal (over $500), he told me to clean it.Carter technicians give you honest service. They do good work and don’t seek to overcharge you7/21/24: Had Lance work in my fire alarm system throughout my house. He replaced it earlier and it needed a check up. The check up was free because Carter warranties their work. Again, excellent service!!8/24: Service again for the garbage disposal. Again good service. The only thing I wish would change is the $98 call out fee. I understand why though. This is not going to stop me from calling them because their service is great!!11/24: Had issues with my garbage disposal. If not Lance try Miguel Rodriguez. Excellent service and explained what was wrong and what he would do to fix it.

Update 9/13/24: Omar was nice, very calming personality. Explained my options for replacing my water heater and upgrading to a tankless water heater. Offered a great price and other great perks versus the competitor*********************************Wow! What a great experience. After nearly 8 years and zero maintenance beyond the sheer basics, I felt like I should have my washer/dryer checked out by a pro. I initially considered using Sears service, but decided on a smaller business with Carter Service. They sent out James M and he was awesome! He called an hour before our scheduled appointment time and since it happened to be perfect timing, he was able to arrive and leave sooner than we expected, which was great for all of us on a Friday afternoon! James was very nice and willing to share his knowledge with us. We appreciated his ethical approach to doing his job which saved us a couple hundred dollars but also helped Carter gain a new long term customer. He was sure to let us know all the services the company provides and we are already keeping them on speed-dial next time we need a plumber. Also, before the tech arrived, the response to my initial online request was handled within a reasonable timeframe and I received a confirmation call the evening before. Overall, it was a pleasant and painless experience. Highly recommended.

We have used Carter Services for years. This time our SubZero refrigerator ice maker wasn’t working a month other things. I called and got an appointment the next day which is awesome. Scott Davis was our repair person. He is friendly, knowledgeable and took the time to explain what was happening and the repair/replacement parts needed. He conveys the information is a very understandable manner. The freezer and ice maker now work like a charm! And the price was very reasonable. He started the work 3/25 but because my fridge appeared to be ice-encrusted, we had to let the ice thaw out before continuing. It came to light that the defrost sensor was not working anymore. A defrost sensor was ordered. Isaac resumed the work today 4/3 and successfully installed the device. I commend Isaac for his great efforts in getting my fridge working again. He was very thorough in getting to the root cause of the issue. He was very professional. He demonstrated excellent skills. He explained what’s happening along the way so that I get the picture of why my fridge stopped functioning properly. He was patient and used layman’s terminology to explain why things like that have happened. He’s a great asset to Carter’s Services. I’d to commend also Tony in Parts(?) for ordering the part needed (defrost sensor) in a timely manner. He gave it the attention necessary for speedy shipping. Just had Carters to repair my LG Washing Machine. Repair was done quickly, professionally and neatly. Ivan was very personable and knowledgeable. Diagnosed the problem in about 5 min (water pump), had the part for repair in his truck and was done with the whole visit in less than an hour. Left the repair area clean and organized.The office staff was great as well with setting up the appointment. Courteous and professional on the phone. Asked me a handful of questions about the problem and the model of my machine so they could help the tech prepare for the visit (which is why I think the part was on the truck already). They confirmed the morning window for the repair the day before and then sent a text with the name and photo of the tech when he was on his way, which is a great security feature.The service was not inexpensive, however this was a complicated enough repair that I think it would have taken at least a full day of multiple trips to Home Depot and hours of YouTube videos to do what Ivan did in an hour. The time and aggravation saved was well worth it and certainly less than buying a new washing machine.I would use them again for appliance repair.

If you are looking for a cheap low quality repair place - click the back button now - Carters isnt for you. We are repeat customers having used Carters for our last two homes new heating and air conditioning systems. George worked with us both times. Since we wanted the same system in our new house. George didnt waste our time with the basics (we already knew them) he jumped right into explaining what improvements Carrier has over the last 5 years as well as convincing me to go with the new Infinity Air Cleaner. While George managed our project and assisted with the installation, much of the work was handled by two of his techs, Kiapo and Edger. They were both polite, respectful and good communicators, always wearing shoe booties inside without even being asked. After the installation George scheduled the duct leakage tests which we passed well below what code allows. Our second Infinity Greenspeed system has been installed for about 5 months now and has been flawless. No regrets on adding the air cleaner on, it makes a noticeable difference on the air quality. I am extremely happy with Carter Services ability to help me repair/refresh a (poorly manufactured) Samsung washer whose top panel was rusting and dumping particles of rust into every wash cycle. My technician, Ivan Ramos, was one of the most conscientious repairmen Ive ever worked with.Initially, Ivan told me that the required replacement part was not available for my washer model. I had done some of my own research, however, and identified a part that was billed as a replacement for the original part. I went ahead and ordered the part with the understanding that I could return it if didnt fit properly. I also established with Ivan that he would return and install the part. (though Carter Services would not guarantee the part since they had not purchased it.)When part arrived, it looked (from the top) like a perfect match for the original top panel. When we turned it over, however, we discovered that it had a different design for attaching to the washer. Ivan, however, was a complete hero. He was able to remove some fittings from the original washer (that held top in place) which allowed new plastic top panel (apparently upgraded from original steel so it cant rust) to fit securely on top of the washer. With the addition of a couple of long screws, Ivan was able to secure the new top to the old washer. Looked just like new.In addition to replacing the top panel, Ivan also did a thorough check of the rest of the machine for leaks and functionality. He also recommended running a couple of wash cycles without clothes to clean out any leftover rust particles. As a matter of maintenance, he also recommended that we use Affresh washing machine cleaning tablets to keep the washer operating in tip-top condition.We are extremely grateful to Ivan Ramos for his knowledge, skill, professionalism, and overall conscientiousness in restoring our 8-year old washer to (perfect) working condition. Great service! Isac and his team performed a major system replacement on our 20 year old Viking refrigerator. They were extremely careful and clean during the whole job. They cleaned everything behind the built-in fridge (walls, floor, cabinetry, etc.). The quality of their work was excellent. Isac made sure that we fully understood the risks associated with the repair before any work was authorized and again before began. He was looking out for us. In the end, the major repair, fixed the problem. The cost was about 1/3 of the cost of a new Viking refrigerator but should last another 20 years since only Viking original parts were used and workmanship was top notch. Isac is honest and conscientious, he will answer any question you might have in mind.

Isac Buenrostro was an outstanding service technician, and the office staff was professional and polite in scheduling the appointment. I had a problem with my freezer. My freezer temperature was rising and I needed the problem fixed ASAP. I called Carter Services and they were able to come out the next day. Isac showed up and immediately demonstrated himself to be very professional, polite and courteous and patient as he asked questions about the problem and I explained what simple steps I had already tried in hopes of getting the freezer to work. Isac immediately offered up several common reasons and potential causes for the freezer problem and within minutes, Isac had officially diagnosed the problem and confirmed it was a bad inverter component. He already had the replacement part in his repair van and provided a cost estimate to replace the bad inverter. I thought the cost was reasonable and I appreciated that he had come prepared with potential part replacement items since he knew in advance what kind of freezer I had (Thermador) and what might potentially be the issue. It was a smart move he made, and for someone like Isac with lots of years of experience, I am sure it was something that comes second nature to him, but not all appliance repair technicians come prepared like that and not all technicians have the knowledge, experience and skill to diagnose and fix a problem quickly like Isac. Isac also took the time to provide tips and suggestion on how to properly care for and maintain the freezer and refrigerator sides of the appliance.It has been almost a week since Isac replaced the inverter and the freezer is still working great. The freezer is now operating at a temperature of zero degrees Celsius and the refrigerator side is at 37 degrees Celsius.If I have any further appliance issues, I will definitely call upon Carter Services and I will ask for Isac by name if I have any further issues with my refrigerator/freezer.

We have a Flume device attached to our main water supply meter. It let us know that we may have a potential water leak. Carter Services assigned Andres, who came to our house on the appointed day and time. He conducted himself professionally even though he could not find the leak. Andres came back two days later, with all the leak detection tools necessary to find our illusive indoor water leak. By this time the water leaks source became obvious. After he confirmed the leaks location, he gave us options on how to fix (repair the supply side pipe from inside the house or from the outside wall). Andres then replaced the leaking water pipe, opened the water supply with no resulting water leak! He then cleaned all the debris resulting from his work. We definitely will use Carter Services in the future.

Winston came pretty quickly after we called Carter. Needed him to inspect our microwave which would not stop running after we had our townhouse tented for termites. He very quickly discovered that they had left the door open to the microwave and the light being on eventually shorted a major component. And then he told us the part wasn’t made anymore, sooo we are getting a new microwave.He was so quick in determining the problem and he was on his way.

James was on time. Took a very systematic approach and ran thru all diagnostics. Was very familiar with Asko Brand. Was not happy with this brand as it not well know and was already giving me troubles just 2 years. But he said these dishwashers are solid. He found a setting that seemed to do the trick and problem was fixed. I couldnt believe but the dishwasher is working fine for last couple of weeks. Thanks Carter Services

My technician was polite, friendly and knowledgeable. He did a wonderful job on my appliance. They have a great quality of service and they are not dishonest.My only concern is their pricing, it has gone up considerably and it’s a shame if I would have to go else where. Carter’s has a great reputation in the South Bay and we need companies to continue in this manner of honesty and integrity. But, to see their pricing go up, makes it hard for those of us who do enjoy their services to stay on. My mom has now since passed, but she had been using Carter’s since the 80’s that’s how I was introduced.

Quite quick turnaround! Had a problem with the heating in part of the house in the morning . Called the company in the afternoon. Was scheduled for the next morning. The technician 👨‍🔧 showed up on time, was very professional, friendly and polite. They kept clean, diagnosed the problem, advised us on the cost and after achieving agreement advanced to the repairs. The system now, about 2:30 hours later works better than before. We will definitely call them for the other repairs and improvements we have in mind for the house!

Will continue to use them for future needs.Kent gave me all the options for possible repair and costs on my Sub-Zero refrigerator after his analysis. The sound could not be repeated and there was no rush for a costly repair. Should it return, I have clear instructions to troubleshoot the cause and if need be contact Carter with those results.Emmanuel was my service technician and he was making a return trip to troubleshoot an EcoBee that had been installed. Very professional.

Edgar was excellent. He quickly diagnosed a minor problem and fixed with a cleaning. He stayed to ensure that the heater worked. He only charged us the on-site diagnosis fee which was very reasonable. I really loved that they emailed the invoice that contained excellent description of the issue and the fix. I will call Carter services for any issue

Recently “Alex” did a comprehensive job of replacing a lot of parts in our old dryer. He cleaned out nine years of lint from inside the dryer as well which I was never able to do. He cleaned up perfectly after he was finished and the entire job was over in less than 45 minutes.Fast, fair and efficient!Now last night Angel came to our home very late in the evening to help us with our heater. It was rainy and cold all day and he felt we shouldn’t have to wait any longer! He was informative and set our minds at ease, quickly fixing the problem so we would sleep, warm and comfortable!Thank you Carter’s! You have two fantastic young men in your employment and I will enjoy seeing them next time something gives us trouble! We can count on you and we thank you very much!

I needed the gasket seal replaced on the freezer of my refrigerator freezer. Isaac explained the problem showed me how the underside of the gasket had hardened and then carefully explained what I needed to do to thaw out the freezer and prepare for the replacement part to be installed. When he returned a few days later with the part he was quick and neat. Patiently answered my questions and overall a great experience!
