    A&E just did a large install in our home. Everyone involved was really enjoyable to work with. Josh and Mitchell came and looked to see what equipment would be the best for us. Jake and Allen were scheduled for 5 days to install and finished in 4. They worked quickly and were really nice to be around. They kept things clean and tidy while working and put up with our dog and kids in their space. Even the Electrician they picked was great to work with. They will be back tomorrow to do a clean and seal on the duct work too. Great experience start to finish. Recommend 100%!

    Matt and Carson helped troubleshoot and repair my heat pump which had not been working during a recent cold snap here in Portland. They were knowledgeable and efficiently got to the root of the problem. We’re good communicators and friendly with my rescue dog. Would recommend!

    We had a great experience with A&E. The initial consultation was fast and informative. We ended up needing a new gas furnace. They were able to send technicians out the next day and replaced the furnace in less than one day. Mike, Greg, and Nick were really nice and answered all of our questions during the install. I would recommend A&E every time.

    A&E Is still the best. We’ve been getting maintenance checks for over 8 years now. They always send the best people out. Today Carson Cooper came. He was so kind and took time to explain what he was checking. He found out that my surge protector wasn’t working. Turns out in the resent power outage - when the power came back my surge protector did its job and protected my furnace’s circuit board. He replaced it today and gave me advice on areas that need to be kept clean. Again- Carson is one of the best they’ve sent. So thankful

    Rick called ahead & was on time. He was very courteous, personable & knowledgeable. He took time to answer questions to my satisfaction. He took off his shoes before coming into the house. He explained the differences in the heating and cooling products & how they differed from what I had. He pointed out & explained the financing options available. He followed through and emailed me more information after he had left. I could not have asked for better service than Rick provided.

    Everyone was so kind, knowledgeable, and fast to install. I cant say to the quality for we havent used it yet. The reviews were good so we got it. The incentive and rebates helped to make our decision. Karen is on top of them all and made sure we were able to receive them. Everyone that did the installation we very polite and considerate about even their shoes on our floor. I would highly recommend them!

    Ive been having issues with my furnace for awhile and finally decided to get some experts out to help me figure out what was going on. Not only did Matt and Carson figure out what the issues were, they were able to explain what they found so I could understand what was going on as well. They fixed the issues and were in and out in under an hour! Would highly recommend!

    Very thorough in analyzing and deciding on course of action on our plugged drain. When he couldn’t arrive in the time window, the office gave us a courtesy call to keep us informed. Arrival was a short time after the window, so not inconvenient. Ran multiple checks to confirm the drain was clear, reconnected all pipes and cleaned up well. We could tell he is a well-trained plumber and appreciate his time, effort, explanations and knowledge. Plumbing services are not inexpensive but he had all the right equipment to get the job done which makes it well worth cost. Would use again and recommend A&E heating and plumbing.

    My dish washer leaked into the floor of the kitchen sink area. Since I didn’t want to have a flood, I scheduled an appointment with A&E. Two plumbers arrived a little ahead of time and went right to work. They knew just what to do and finished up quickly. I was pleased with their professionalism and courtesy.

    What an absolutely awesome experience. We had to have our entire system replaced and the bill was definitely a bit of a sting. But A&E were so easy to work with and so professional it was awesome. Id recommend them to anyone for hvac work.

    I had a leak on Saturday and they didnt call me back until Monday, and no appointment until Thursday. So I wouldnt rely on them in an emergency. You had better figure out how to shut the water off yourself.However, Im still giving four stars because not a single one of the other plumbers in the area returned my calls at all!The plumber they sent was great and also did a great job. He was very friendly and patiently answered all of my questions. A good experience.

    Randy exemplifies amazing customer service. He was extremely knowledgeable and helped walk me through this process. He was willing to educate me, and create a list of questions i needed to coordinate with other contributing trades.     I called for my mother-in-law and got their answering service. I was a little worried at first, but I got the callback in less than 15 minutes and the dispatcher was super friendly and patient and was able to get a tech to the house same day without charging us an emergency rate. Maybe we got lucky but I was really impressed with the prompt service. Repair tech took time to talk to me on the phone and talk through the system needs. Sadly the system needs to be replaced but he was at least able to get her back up and running in the meantime.

    I am very happy that I used A&E for our new heat pump and furnace install. Their salesman Rick was very informative and answered all of our questions and didn’t pressure us into buying a more expensive system than we needed. The installers Mike, Greg, and Michael were very quick and thorough with removing the old system and installing the new equipment. They were very friendly, answered all of my questions, and walked me through how to use the thermostat and how to get the most out of my new hvac system. We will definitely be long time customers.

    We replaced our old 3 ton heat pump and air handler. A and E did a great job starting with a site visit to determine our best options. We selected the new system and it was installed within 10 days. The 2 person crew was fantastic, professional, and timely. Now that temps have spiked to 95F, we enjoy the AC.Loved the service, the clean installation, and performance of the new system.We highly recommend A&E.

    Andy arrived on time, took care to not leave tracks on our floor, was very courteous and informative as to what he needed to do, and what we need to do to fix the problem. I have been treated very well by everyone that I have spoken with regarding the repair or replacement of my heating system. So far I would definitely recommend A&E to anyone needing service on their heating system.

    Update to message below:Fair is fair. When things work better than expected its important to call that out too. Heat pump went down again. Called A&E. They sent a tech out immediately. Tech diagnosed issue as potentially coming from a small defect at install. They took responsibility and fixed the issue right away. While Im not super please about the issue below, you have to give A&E credit for urgency and making things right to the degree they felt responsible. Ive increased the stars from 2 to 4. Appreciate the urgency. Thank you!I had a new heat pump and ac installed. Called a few times as the system was not working/keeping it getting to temp. They kept telling me it was because I did not understand how the new equipment worked. Finally on the hottest week of the year asked them to come out. They did right away, thus the 2 stars for effort. Got hit with an additional bill for a new fuse box because something had come loose. The previous box was 40 years old and had worked up to the time the pump was replaced and the only time it had been disconnected. Either the new box should have been included in the bill or suggested at time of service. It seems like a shortcut was taken. Again great effort and urgency, wish they would have done it right the first time. I’d you use A&E stay on top of the bid and post install.

    Dan provided quick and friendly annual maintenance service on our system which we had purchased a year ago from A&E. He also was quick to advise us about the air sanitation options for our under home duct system. I like talking to the Gresham Office it was much easier to navigate and speak with without answering 101 questions which my information.     My 92 year old Mothers air conditioning went out on the hottest week of the year. They were completely booked out for 2 weeks, but sent a technician over that day. We were very happy with their service and extra effort response.

    Matt was great, he was helpful and fixed the problem that was a dead condensate pump and included a switch that would turn off the AC unit if this pump ceased to function. However, I cannot give a full 5 stars due to the apparent markup for the repair. The cost of installing the pump was just north of $350 and this was with a discount for being on the maintenance plan. The pump itself retails for somewhere between $50-80 depending on where you look and the installation took 30 min tops. Just disappointed at the high price point.

Sales guy comes out (friendly nice guy), goes over our options and we literally had a new system and a warm house the next day. Installation guys were great as well.     Andrew, Karin, Tyler, & Jose from A & E were fast, professional, and had to deal with horrible winter weather conditions to make sure we had heat. They took our safety as the first priority, testing for CO2 in the house and walking us through the next steps in replacing our 30 year old gas heater and AC.     Dan was prompt, knowledgeable & friendly!One question I forgot to ask Dan! Each time the heat pump comes on, it blows cold air for several min & actually lowers the temp several degrees! Then it takes several min to bring the temp back up to what it was to start with, before it does what it came on for in the first place. Is this common?     Living in a small town, it’s been difficult to get service on a lot of our appliances. Today it was our heater-boiler system. A&E showed up on time, they were very professional, and I would not hesitate to business with him again. Almost forgot, they came out 24hrs after my initial call (this was a non-emergency call) and they texted me reminding me of my appointment after scheduling the appointment and 30 minutes before my appointment.

A&E tech Skylar showed up promptly as scheduled and checked out my heat pump from stem to stern. However for future customers, be sure to note that it might be a little expensive, but definitely worth it. As a customer, you have a choice if you want the technician to fix the issues, so youre never going to spend money on something you dont want. Overall, I was quite impressed with A&E heating and air.
