The team did a great job installing an EV charger at my house. Our cars are parked towards the street away from the house so this was a more complicated job then a standard garage installation. They did a great job with everything and it works and looks great.All team members have been friendly, responsive, and helpful throughout the whole process. Easy company to work with and get whatever electric needs you have completed. Highly recommend.

Very professional and knowledgeable staff. Lead electrician and technician were able to install a new ceiling light fixture extending from an existing light housing that was not in use. No cuts to ceiling at all. They were careful with glass portions of light and made sure it was level and at the desired height above counter. We absolutely loved the workmanship. We’ve been using BadMonkey for several jobs in our home and referred them to neighbors. They’re consistent and care about the work they do. Definitely highly recommended. I’ve shopped other companies but they don’t compare!

First off the electrician (Mike) was very nice and courtesy. He was very professional. His apprentice was also friendly and courtesy. They installed a recessed range plug, two island light, and a bathroom light. They all look great and well done. I learned of Bad Monkey from the Tesla website when I was looking for an electrician to install my charger. I selected them based upon the reviews and their fast response to my initial inquiry and the estimate. Larry and Nick arrived exactly when they were scheduled and immediately got to work. They did a super job, ran the wires across the width of the house and totally cleaned up any residue from the access points. They worked with me to find the best way to position the charger next to our driveway, commissioned and tested the charger and answered all of my questions. They are extremely professional and I would highly recommend Bad Monkey for any electrical work in the future.

We have used Bad Monkey for every electrical project I can really think of - generator install, panel upgrades etc, running new lines for new HVAC systems - you name it, they can do it and they do it great! But on top of their great work, they are great people. After terrible storms in our area, all of our bathrooms were without power. Knowing that our circumstances were not as bad as so many without power completely, I called Bad Monkey to get on their schedule for repairs knowing it would be a few days. Immediately after scheduling, Tim started giving me ideas about what could have gone wrong. A quick trip to the hardware store, a little bit of work and a troubleshooting call to Tim later, our problems were solved. Had external outlets and overhead lights put in. The quote process was easy and they took the time to explain the work they intended to perform. When the electricians were working, they were great with our dogs, polite, friendly, courteous of the house and tried to keep their work space clean.Took off 1 star because there seems to be a little miscommunication between the operations department and the workers. This caused some rework that needed to be performed.I suggest requesting a permit because this is the only way I found out there was a slight issue, the inspector caught it and required the rework be performed.Overall, the company is great to work with and provides slightly better pricing compared to 2 other competitors I got quotes from.

We originally hired Bad Monkey Electric to install a whole-home generator. While that project ended up taking much longer than we expected (the delays were due to the natural gas part of the project, not the electrical part), the whole Bad Monkey team was there for us every step of the way. Steve and Tim were always reachable and eager to answer our questions, and the office staff did a great job of staying on top of everything.While we waited for the generator, we hired Bad Monkey several more times for other electrical work (outlets, a light fixture, a surge protector). Larry is a highly skilled electrician, and super easy to communicate with. He and Nick work very efficiently together, and they keep everything clean during and after the job. And whenever we had a time-sensitive issue, Larry was always willing to help us out.As our generator project wrapped up, we got to meet Justin and Chris, who each did a wonderful job with setup and training us how to use it. And Tim and Larry made sure that the final inspections came through in a timely fashion. Now that we have a working generator, the peace of mind that it gives cannot be overstated—and we look forward to hiring Bad Monkey for our other electrical needs in the future!

I needed an outdoor outlet installed on the exterior of my house, which I realize is a relatively simple job for an electrician. It can sometimes be difficult to find a responsive contractor for small tasks like this, and I contacted several electricians without success before I called Bad Monkey Electric. BME called me back right away, scheduled a visit for an estimate the same week and when we had agreed upon terms for the job, had the install scheduled for the week after that. Every step of the process was quick, well-communicated and professionally done from scheduling the initial estimate to the physical installation to the submission of the final invoice when the work was complete. I am very happy with the results and dont feel there is anything else they could have done to improve my experience as a customer. Bad Monkey will be my first call for any electrical work from now on.

Took on a huge project by gutting the entire house and doubling the square footage. Bad Monkey were the only company that would take on the project and I’m glad they did. They assigned Larry and Nick to work on re-wiring the entire house, performing the heavy up to 400 amps and worked with me on changes as we made decisions along the progress. Larry and Nick were awesome! Their professionalism, attention to detail, great communication and even suggestions/recommendations were 5 stars ! They went the extra mile to ensure that I did not need the panel replaced. As with most companies who would try to upsell, Bad Monkey Electric did not indulge in that behavior.Pete and Todd came home and did a professional, clean and thoughtful install. There was additional work that was initially requested by me, was later deemed unnecessary by them. The quote was reduced by the amount for the additional work. Bad Monkey was great, and very reasonably priced. We hired them to install a ceiling fan on a 20 foot ceiling, electric car charger, in ceiling speakers and relocate our cable and power to over our fireplace. They cut the minimal amount of holes in the drywall and did a clean install as well as cleaned up when they were done. They introduced us to a great drywall company to patch things after they were done. These guys go above and beyond to get you exactly what you want. We will definitely hire them again.

I had several estimates and some came in less than Bad Monkey but the conversations I had with representatives from each company brought me back to Bad Monkey. I chose Bad Monkey because the owner Steve was very straightforward and professional which is what I look for in any company I decide to do business with. Their customer service is top notch and even their level of work.They replaced my circuit breaker panel and did our rough in electrical work for our new addition. We actually sign a contract with another company to do the work but after we met with Steve we decided to cancel our contract and even paid cancellation fees just so we can have Bad Monkey do all the work. Second positive review. After a storm some lights and outlets did not work. We scheduled an appointment but Brian gave me a call and shared some suggestions that may fix the problem and therefore not require a visit. His reminder made me think of one possible fix. Apparently my homes wiring had some of these other outlets and light switches wired after the GFCI outlet in the basement. It turns out the storm tripped this outlet. I reset it, then everything turned on. Problem fixed for free. Obviously I dont hope there is a problem in the future, but if there is, these guys will get the call.

Bad monkey installed an electric charger for my Tesla at my home. They did a suburb job with the installation. They were on time and had me up and running with my charger in no time. They answered all my questions because I had many and also cleaned up everything before they left. Three weeks later I noticed a wire hanging in my utility area where they had been working I called them to come and tack the wire as it was hanging from the overhead. They came promptly and then we realized it wasnt one of their wires but another utility wire that somehow got loose. They tacked it and put it back in place anyway and didnt charge me a dime! I rarely write reviews but felt compelled after my recent experience with Bad Monkey. We needed a 50a Inlet Box installed outside as well as an interlock kit at the service panel to support a generator. We also purchased a Sense energy monitor to be installed at the same time. As one does, we got a few estimates and I really appreciated Bad Monkeys free estimate policy. An electrician weve used in the past wanted $80 to come out to our house which did NOT apply to the work if we hired them. Brian from BME answered all of our questions during the estimate and the cost of work was fair. We were scheduled right away, and they were able to do the work the following week (thank you Crissy).On the day of, Justin messaged to say he would arrive around 7:45am to start the job and I think we were scheduled for 5 hours in the early window. I showed him the generator, inlet box, and power cord I bought, and we talked through the circuits we wanted to power with the generator. He explained everything very well and because we have two panels, there were some circuits that needed to be moved around. He got to work on this and was mindful of which circuits were needed for my wife and I to use our computers for meetings. He even cleaned up and re-ran a few wires that a previous electrician had done poorly.He completed the work in about 3 hours (total) including time to walk me through all of the steps in using the generator. We fired it up and started adding circuits. It was such a great feeling to see our furnace, well pump, multiple fridges, and several lights and outlets running with no utility power!Now we just need another outage!Thanks to Crissy, Brian, and especially Justin for a great experience and I think you owe it to yourself to get an estimate at the very least. They will treat you right!

Do yourself a favor and CALL BAD MONKEY ELECTRIC FIRST! My experience with Bad Monkey was amazing. Bad Monkey was extremely honest, professional, and responsive to my actual needs. When calling the company it feels like you are speaking with a friend, someone who cares about your job, and the neighborhood professionals. I have talked with Tim many times and he is very knowledgeable and courteous. Brandon the technician that came to my home was extremely professional. Bad Monkey will always be my go to company for electrical needs.For reference I was selling my home and had another company come out to install 2 light fixtures and a smoke alarm. Not only did the other company grossly over charge me, but they also tried to sell me things I did not need. The comparison of the experience with Bad Monkey and the other company was night and day. If you want a fair and honest company, PLEASE CALL BAD MONKEY FIRST!

Great service, very reasonable prices!I had a fairly big electrical upgrade at my house - running high power from one side of my house to the other for a new hot tub installation, installing new circuits, external outlets and speaker wires, and installing a new panel to transfer to generator power during outages. They did the entire job in a day and with minimal inconvenience for such a major undertaking. The owner Steve came by to personally inspect afterwards (and had a minor adjustment done for me for free). Great quality work, very communicative and responsive staff - VERY happy customer!

Two young men arrived on time and immediately investigated the issue - zeroed in on the problem and fixed it. So nice to have such an outstanding company located near our neighborhood. These guys are amazing! Moved into a new (old) home with older wiring that i knew nothing about and was having a hard time with newer light fixtures. These guys showed up at 7:30 AM on CHRISTMAS EVE to diagnose the problem. Larry was awesome and professional. Found an old electrical box with loose wiring that was buried underneath plater and was able to fix my problem without cutting a million holes in my walls. Would recommend this company to anyone and will definitely have them back to fix other things.

Steve and his team did an amazing job knocking out a number of home inspection related issues and some extra stuff we needed to make the home suit our style. Steve was extremely responsive and was very open to giving me a few lessons on simple electrical things I can do / watch out for. His team was also a great pleasure to be around - they all were very detail oriented, ensured any area they worked in was cleaned up , and got all the problems fixed on the first attempt. Great group, and clearly the company is very very well run. Will definitely be using BME for our next few projects in the coming year. Highly recommend Steve and co.
