Chris showed up less than 2 hours after I called him, pointed out several issues with the A/C system that came with my house and determined why my aging system was dead, showing me clearly what was wrong. He had a finance plan with a lower interest rate than I could find elsewhere and had the new system picked up and ready the day I agreed to his itemized proposal. He used quality parts, explained what everything did and most importantly, got us cooling fast in this late June heat. We found him professional and friendly, with exceptional work. I would recommend him to anyone needing A/C work.

Just had an incredible experience with Chris at Reliable Heating and Air. Chris came out to check out our location and gave us a full breakdown of what all he saw needed to be done. He also gave us several options for how we could fix the issues that needed to be addressed with our unit. Chris work was not only fast, but incredibly high quality. He made an older walk-in cooler look and run like new. He also came out several times to check on it to make sure it was as perfect as possible. Requested a quote for a full system replacement for my condo. Chris asked all the right questions to be sure I’d get what I needed. Very attentive to my wishes to get it done right but not going overboard with a too-large system when I didn’t need it. He stopped by the house, evaluated everything, asked a couple more questions and provided a quote. Name brand, excellent warranty and well thought out equipment. The quote was very reasonable when compared to another I had obtained from another area company. The install was done in a very organized and professional manner. Works great! In summary, excellent communication, no “over-selling”, prompt and clean installation, excellent communication throughout at very reasonable pricing for name brand equipment. When our AC broke unexpectedly 3 days after we moved into our new house, the owner Chris personally came to our rescue that day to diagnose that we needed a new unit and was able to get that for us in 4 business days. A/C unit stopped working overnight and the temperature kept rising through the night on one of the hottest nights of the year so far. Called Reliable Heating & Air at 8AM and Chris was here by 9AM. It didnt matter that we were a new customer, he treated us like we were family. Fixed the A/C in about an 1 hour as he had the part on his truck. While he was here he also performed the yearly/6 month maintenance on the unit just to make sure that everything else was running properly. Incredible! Now a customer for life.

Christmas Eve- I get up early to prepare for my new baby grandson and my elderly mother visiting the next day... and the heat isnt working. I called Reliable and Chris actually said he would come! On Christmas Eve! Yay!He was there within about an hour to check things out. He did a THOROUGH inspection and turns out that since it was so cold, my heater had done a self-defrost- where it shuts off, the heat strips come on, the unit goes into cooling mode and after about 15 minutes, all would have been fine. I should have remembered this about HVAC systems in the South that arent used to sub freezing temps for any extended period of time.Chris continued to do the complete inspection to make sure it wasnt something else. I appreciated that a lot as I didnt want it to stop working as soon as he left.His diagnostic fee was VERY fair considering it was Dec 24th and I know I wasnt the only person he had to visit that day!I know I need a new HVAC unit as mine is living on borrowed time and you can surely bet that when I do get ready for the replacement, Ill be calling Chris from Reliable Heating and Air. Our ac wasnt working Sunday, so Monday I called. Windows open-I left a message. Received a call within minutes!Let me tell ya. Chris, he is a gem!He told me the cost for the diagnostic upfront had ALL documentation of the previous owners.So informative! Like, he asked me if I wanted to see what this, that looks like after 8 years! Dude knows his stuff!He hadnt been in my house in 6 or 8 years and it looked like the ac was brand new! He explained to me why it wasnt working, and showed me how it should work. Hes the kinda guy that would loose sleep if he forgot to do something, or knows he didnt do something correctly, ya know. The mans honest.He gave me the option to purchase a part that needed replaced, or I could buy it on my own. I love honesty. He had it on the truck, may as well just put it on and and go from there.Did you know that each register air vent is like 49° and then they all equal out to the thermostat temp!? I didnt understand why he was checking the temp of the air. I never knew that! Or that the ac is really a dehumidifier takes all the moisture out if your house?Hes a godly man, knows his stuff and In my experience, he explains very thoroughly, (talks a bit much, but, its very much agreeable) detailed and follows up! There are so many companies Ive worked with and THEY never follow up with their customers. I am glad Chris, is my Ac guy!

I explained I had water dripping through the ceiling below the air handler, he said he would be at my house in 30 minutes and he was true to his word. He unplugged the air handler’s water drain, cleaned the coils and checked all Freon pressures and had the system back on line In very short order.I have known Chris for over 10 years and he has always performed all installations and services in a superior and professional manner. When he discovered that the capacitor had gone bad, he showed me how it had lost its voltage. Then he showed me the voltage on the new capacitor. He had us up and running in less than an hour. This guy is knowledgeable about his work, he is passionate about helping his customers get top-notch service and parts. He also emphasized that the new capacitor was made in the USA. To say that I (we), were satisfied with Chris response time, professionalism and expertise is an understatement. Chris went above and beyond!I live in Chicago, Illinois and my mother lives in Summerville, SC. Her A/C was not functioning for 3 whole days in the midst of 90+ temperatures. The thermostat was reporting 90° and all of my mothers attempts to connect with a Handyman had failed. I prayed, and asked GOD to help me locate a A/C professional in the Summerville area, that was highly skilled and operated in enormous integrity. I opened my google seach engine and my prayers were answered.When Chris heard about my mothers situation AND her age, he escalated her case and showed up earlier than he previously advised. He took before and after pictures, found the root cause of the problem and called me BEFORE proceeding with the repair, so that I was in full agreement with the repair process and the final quote. He repaired the problems and did not leave the premises until he saw (and felt), that it was all systems GO. Chris was awesome! Just when we thought the hotest days of summer were over, we had our HVAC go out on us in September. We had belonged to a chain HVAC company claiming to be a local company but were never satisfied with there service. I called Reliable Heating and Air and received a return call from Chris within 30 min.. Being on a budget Chris worked with us and kept us in our price zone. Chris not only fixed the issue but took the time to explain everything that was going to be done and gave us the chance to decide and discuss what we could afford to have done. In the end he replaced the coil and serviced the outside unit and cleaned up all traces of him being there. Then a couple of weeks later he called to check if we were still happy with the repair. It has bee several months now and it is still working fine. I am in the construction world and I was very impressed with his friendly manner, professional work and the outcome. I have had problems with my unit for at least 5 years. Every time someone came out I was told I needed a new thermostat. Would get a new thermostat and A/C would work but heat wouldnt work. He came in, diagnosed the problem, simply rewired the thermostat, and BOTH worked before he left. He made sure the freon was good and took the time to explain everything to me. He checked the air temperature coming in the vents to assure the temperature was right for both heat and air. I would HIGHLY recommend Chris to anyone that needs service.

My home was built in 2015 and a Lennox HVAC was a part of the package. The very first night we stayed in the house the unit stopped blowing air and the temperature went up to 85 degrees inside. Fogel came out and fixed it within the year warranty. Then after the warranty the motherboard was not following the thermostats call for heat. Then the coil was leaking. The lawsuit against Lennox would have paid for the part but not the labor . I finally just said before I spend all this money to repair this system it just makes logical sense to replace everything. I received a few quotes and decided on Reliable Air. The main reason is I love supporting small business owners and secondly you could tell from your first conversation with Chris that he loved his craft.
