    We trust Matt and Star Plumbing with our home, and we cant give higher praise than that. Grant and the guys are always professional, competent, and conscientious. Communication and follow-up are spot on, too, even over holidays and weekends. Contractors and service providers are sometimes an issue in a smaller town, but Id stack Matt and his folks up against anybody, anywhere. You can hire them with confidence; we do!

    We contacted Star Plumbing about a kitchen sink leak and were able to schedule the service call within 48 hours. Gabe took a look and pointed out a few concerns right away. He was able to fix it same day and ended up taking less than 90 minutes. Kind, professional, and efficient. Highly recommended.

    Matt and Gabe were very professional. I called on a Friday, they came out that afternoon. I had a new water heater and well pressure tank by the following Thursday. They went beyond just the water heater and well pressure tank. They had finished cutting the access required for the water heater, they installed a bigger well pressure tank than I had before, and even made some adjustments to my water softener after testing the water for hardness and iron. They are two incredible hard working young men. I highly recommend them.

    Contacted Star Plumbing after smelling a strong odor in our cabin. Matt and Gabe rearranged their schedule to help us out. Didn’t take long and discovered a vent in attic was disconnected. They were very courteous, professional and clean. Will definitely hire them again if needed.

    I contacted Matt at Star Plumbing Service about a cracked toilet Tank, which was leaking.The crack extended below the water line, so the unit was unusable.Matt responded and gave me an estimate to replace the toilet, after being unable to find a tank due the age. While he was there I also asked about replacing a kitchen faucet, original sink disposal and the 20 year old hot water tank with the addition of a water heater recirculation pump. During our conversation Matt readily answered my questions, took notes, and was able to provide me a cost estimate for all of the parts and labor. A few days later Matt called and scheduled an installation appointment. On that day Matt, and Gabe, were on time and also had an electrician with him to install an outlet near the water heater for the recirculation pump. All of the old parts were removed and the new ones installed before lunch.The work is outstanding in every way and customer service is above and beyond expectations. I highly recommend Star Plumbing Service for all your needs, they certainly met all of mine.

    I’ve had nothing but great luck and good experiences with Star Plumbing. They respond quickly. Show up quickly. Are very upfront with their prices, they arrive and complete the work quickly and courteously, and just seem like a good folks all around. I’ve had them do three jobs for me now, and look forward to using them in the future, I am happy to finally have a reliable and fair plumber and Spearfish so I don’t have to Rapid City anymore!

    My water heater went out on a Sat. My neighbor recommended Star.I called first thing Mon. morning and spoke with Matt. Grant came out within two hours of my call. He checked it out and told me my options. Since my unit was so old I went with a new one but they couldnt fit me in until Wed. Ugh. Grant was kind enough to reroute my water lines so I could have running water until then! Awesome!! Cold water is better than no water!Matt called Wed. to let me know they were on their way. Matt and Grant are very professional, clean and fast! The install looks a lot better than the old one and my hot water has been restored!! Thank you so much!

    In trying to finish up a bathroom remodel, we found out the plumbing for the sink was misaligned for the cabinet. With the company already scheduled to measure the top, there was no time to wait. Matt got me scheduled the day after Thanksgiving to move the plumbing. Kept us on schedule. Excellent work.

    I had a shower tile job and as we opened up the tile wall, we seen old pipes that had cracked. This was going to cause a delay in the install of the shower. Star Plumbing came over with equipment ready, with understanding our circumstances they fixed the cracked pipeline during their lunch hour. That is hometown service. Greatly appreciated. Matt Wilen did the job and I bought him lunch. .

    Had them come out to fix a leaking bathtub faucet. Grant was able to pull up prices on his tablet for what needed replacing so I knew the cost going into it. Very professional, would recommend them if you need a plumbing service.

    We had a leaky tub faucet that needed replaced due to age. Matt came over and was professional about the whole thing. Due to the age of the house and plumbing a hole had to be cut into the wall but Matt and his team did a great job cutting a hole, replacing the faucet, and mounting the plate. It took them very little time and we had a working shower and tub again. Our 4 year old son loved having them in the house and was quick to show our guests that night the fine work Matt and his team did. Thank you Star Plumbing for helping us we will be using you the next time we need plumbing help.

    Matt was very quick to attend to our call when our existing water heater started to leak. He was knowledgeable and easily explained our different options in ways we could understand. He helped us come the the right decision for our family, and was here as promised less than a week later to perform the water heater replacement. He appears t have performed high quality work, and he cleaned up after himself very well. I would recommend him highly for similar scale plumbing projects.

    We needed a hole drilled for an extra faucet. Matt answered the phone right away. He was able to fit us in his schedule within a reasonable time frame.     Matt quickly came to my Moms rescue when she had a pipe valve in her basement split and spray water all over. He came even though it was after regular hours. It took him very little time to assess the problem and quickly replace the damaged parts. Matt was very helpful and pleasant to work with. He was up front with the cost of the repairs. My mother was very pleased with his work. We would not hesitate to recommend him to others and will be keeping his number handy for any future work.

    Matt saved the day. We had an old water heater w/a pilot light that wouldnt stay lit, no hot water and its the middle of winter yet. Matt came out on an emergency call - got us a new 40 gallon water heater and was done w/the install in a couple of hours. He was helpful and very professional.     I cannot thank this company enough for their quick response. They came out the same day I called to replace a water meter that was damaged by the frigid weather Spearfish had. After having a nightmare trying to get the city to even come out to turn off my water or give me any direction with getting a new meter, the prompt service with this company was such a relief. They got my water back on right away. I absolutely recommend giving this company a call if you are dealing with plumbing issues.

    Matt quickly and accurately diagnosed the problem. His confidence and straightforwardness was very refreshing. I also appreciated that he pulled up prices on his tablet and actually showed them to me. He was very transparent with what charges would be, based on part replacement. He wasn’t just pulling prices out of the top of his head. We found that even though another portion of a shut off was not having problems, it was old, and since part of it was needing to be replaced, for only a little more to replace that other part as well, we could take care of the whole thing and then wouldn’t have to worry about any of it for years to come. Thank you Matt! While at our home, we also had Matt look at another leaky shower faucet. I so appreciated that he was willing to check to see if a washer/seal needed to be replaced as opposed to the whole inside of the piece. He could have told me otherwise and I would have not known. There are honest technicians out there and I am so, so glad that I actually found one. Star Plumbing is our new plumbing company of choice and we will definitely call Matt again for future plumbing needs. Thank you, Matt!
