    Who could ask for more ?!?!?On a Thursday evening, our water heater failed. On Friday morning, Kyle arrived to autopsy the heater…DOA.On Saturday morning, Scott stopped by and made an estimate; came later in the afternoon ( on his own time !) with the signed contract.On Tuesday, Jeff and John (?) installed a new heater. All good.Throughout the process, the Winslow team was helpful, courteous and professional. The folks in the office are equally considerate.I am clueless regarding issues related to plumbing, electric, etc so I have to trust the technicians and hope that they are being honest and professional.     We bought our Kohler whole house home generator through Winslow 6 or 7 years ago and have been extremely pleased with it. Winslow did a great job on the installation and it has been 100% reliable and always works when we need it. We just had our annual service and maintenance for 2024 done on it by Winslow and, as always, they made it easy to make an appointment and their service tech was on time, professional and did a great job--couldnt be happier.

    I am so grateful to Jason Manning, the E.F. Winslow tech who serviced my A/C system this week. Not only did he efficiently diagnose the problem, he orchestrated a most timely repair by being a strong advocate for my situation. Jason was kind and professional, and he truly has the best interests of his clients at the forefront of his service commitment. He took the time to educate me on the care and maintenance of my system, something that not all technicians do. He taught me proper inspection and care techniques and took the time to clean the equipment and filters to ensure maximum efficiency and longevity of the system. I am so appreciative of Jasons extra efforts. He is an employee who truly goes above-and-beyond for his customers. His competence and excellence did not go unnoticed. Thank you!

    Weve always had great service from E.F. Winslow in past, but I wanted to especially commend their honesty and helpfulness today. Twice in the last 24 hours, they had the opportunity to sell me additional services and advised me against it: Once when we called for emergency service on Sunday and they convinced us that it wasnt actually needed, and once today when we discussed the situation again and they advised me to look into septic tank service first (which they dont do).As I can trust them to tell me if I dont really need their help, I will always call them first when I think I really do need their help.

    Winslow home services did a fantastic job in a short amount of time. They are very professional. I had a couple of questions when it was all over and they sent someone out to explain to me what, if anything, was wrong with my brand new washer and dryer. No problem. They fixed it and I’m using my washing machine and dryer once again.There was a vent, that had to be replaced to meet regulations, and was done to perfection. Both men were very pleasant. Anyone who I spoke with in the office was very nice and helpful. I have electrical work coming up, and I am going to contact them. I recommend you do the same.

    I wanted to say a very big thank you to Jerry who works out of the Cape Cod office. I’m on my first real vacation in years, and a leak at our rental property was threw a bit of a wrench into it (no pun intended). The on call service was wonderful and the leak was quickly fixed .     We turned our heat on for the first time this season to find that our wireless thermostats were reading no signal. I contacted EF Winslow right away as they were the ones who installed them just a little over 3 yrs ago. Ill admit it took some time to get someone there but thats because they are THAT good. Their schedule was booked but they came as soon as they could. They were courteous and professional. They assessed the situation and trouble shot it with several different people from different departments until the problem was found. I commend them for that, not everyone would have taken that much time when they could have just told me to replace everything. I told them I wanted to do something different than what I had done with them a few years back and Mark was wonderful. He took the time and really thought about what I was explaining to him. He did a great job. He was quick and clean and honest which was important to me. Bridgette and all the folks at EFW work hard scheduling for repairs and installs. I have dealt with them a few times over my 25 yrs of home ownership and I recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, professional company to work with.

    I bought my house ( which came with a General generator) in May 2022. With the impending hurricane coming this August of 2023 I tried to start it. It said it needed an oil change. I called EF Winslow and made an appt to do service. I found out it hadn’t run its weekly 15 minute check since 2021. The serviceman came out and changed the oil and other maintenance. He also cleaned and ran it for 15 minutes. Then he reset the automatic 15 minute cycle . Since then it has run its cycle 3 times. He also gave other great advice. Overall great service !

    I had a water shut off valve installed along with two new thermostats that I could l monitor from afar. The staff was very pleasant, on time, thorough in explanation and tidy.They were able to install on my time table. They went through all of the set up and made sure that I was comfortable in using the system. Hopefully I never have to use it!!

    Dear Freeman and Company.Having just completed our total kitchen remodel with E.F. Winslow we feel compelled to share our experience working and dealing with your company. From the moment we walked into the showroom for our first design meeting with the amazingly talented Heather Pond to the final inspection upon completion of our stunning new kitchen, E.F. Winslow superseded our expectations. Heather is a world-class kitchen creator. She is precise, thorough, a great listener and a true artist in terms of harmonizing the form and function of a kitchen. She understood our vision, executed it flawlessly and offered deft guidance when needed. The results were amazing. She also has a relentlessly positive approach and the same “can-do” attitude exhibited by every one of your craftsmen who set foot in our house. Mark, our in-house carpenter, took amazing care in executing the plan and made everything fit together beautifully. There was no situation that cropped up that he didn’t have a thoughtful solution for. His careful cuts, meticulous but efficient approach and superb craftsmanship are evident every time we open a drawer or cabinet. He produced exceptional work in a very short period of time. The same can be said of Ken and his electrical crew and Tom the plumber and his associates. They are vastly experienced, professional, polite and a joy to have on the job.     I’ve been with this company for several years and have been very pleased with their service. I recently had a flapper replaced in a toilet bowl. I received the invoice for this work and couldn’t believe the amount I was charged. $400.00 for no more than 45 minutes of time. I have tried several times to get this resolved unsuccessfully. When having work done such as time make sure you record the time the technician is there, he was at my house no more than 45 minutes and was charged for labor for 1 hour and 1/2. Disappointing, joe

    I contacted Winslow and spoke to Andrea to schedule a date to turn on my water along with changing the hot and cold water faucets for my washing machine. Since special parts had to be ordered, Andrea did an excellent job in keeping me informed. I dont the plumbers name, but I had my son take pictures of the new faucets and send to Florida where I live during the winter. He did a fantastic job knowing that he had to cut into the wall to replace the parts. I would not hesitate recommending Winslow for any plumbing needs

    Fantastic Service!     I had a major plumbing problem that I was really concerned about. Winslow accommodated my schedule. Charlie showed up on time, was a very nice man, made me feel a bit more relaxed about my problem( piece of cake, I’ve seen a lot worse) assessed the problem, and got straight to work. I had a lot of confidence in him. You could just tell he knew exactly how to fix it! He was extremely neat and a perfectionist! He worked like a dog, straight through until the job was done. Didn’t even stop for lunch- said he wanted to finish, clean up and would then get lunch. By then it was 1:30. I would be very happy if he was the person who showed up to fix my next problem. I know it would be done correctly and efficiently by a very nice guy!

    Bill K. the electrician called ahead to inform me of his arrival time. installed 2 smoke and CO2 detectors, replaced an outside lighting fixture and repaired a faulty wall plug ,a;; in under an hour. Very friendly and courteous.Chris W. the plumber arrived on time replaced the broken drain pipe and pop-up assembly in a vanity sink quickly and neatly and even replaced the aerator that he noticed was spraying water erratically. I would recommend E.F. Winslow to anyone looking for reliable, timely, service and reasonable prices.

    Very Impressed!I started using Winslow after using another service for many years, who literally left me in the cold when I needed them. When looking for a replacement service someone suggested Winslow. Sometimes I can be critical of services as I anticipate getting value for what I pay for. I have used Winslow several times now for a very complex house that I manage. Their professionalism and technical knowledge are excellent. They show up and follow up when scheduled. I would recommend them in a heartbeat to anyone.

    On the coldest day thus far this winter I came home to no heat. My house temperature was 46. I called Winslow as they were recommended through a friend. I was put on a waiting list which made me nervous and more cold. I understood that the demand of customers was very high on that afternoon. I was called and told that they would help me as soon as possible. They sent a wonderful technician that was very pleasant and efficient. He solved my problem and repaired the heating unit within 10 minutes and finally I was getting heat. Thank you

    A Saturday afternoon emergency call to Winslow to replace a hot water heater for my rental property. I explain that I had tenants arriving at 3 pm.     Have been using EF Winslow for years. They always come at the time they give. They may be a little higher priced but in the past I have had many plumbers not show or call back. Work has been satisfactory and they explain everything that they do. The technicians are always careful about leaving the area they are working in/on clean when they leave.     I turned to E F Winslow for an electrician after trying several local electricians (I did not realize Winslow did electrical work as well as plumbing and heating). I was immediately impressed with a high level of professionalism both in the office (scheduling timely appointments) and the technician. He called when on his way, came on time (at the earliest hour of the window!) ,and did a fine job with apparent ease and efficiency. He addressed/solved all (4) issues needing electrical work, had all the equipment needed (including various ladders), cleaned up perfectly afterwards (going the extra mile by vacuuming interior of a 30 year old fixture). He also worked well with me - made helpful, explicit suggestions re items needed (one unusable in the end), ways to save (using existing fixture for the present anyway), and assured me he/Winslow would be available for future needs. I will always turn to Winslow now for my electrical needs -- as I have for plumbing and heating. I can depend on them to fit me in (no long wait time), come when they say they will (no long window), and do a good job. Thanks!

    Excellent job repairing 70 yr old hot water radiator valves in tight crawl space under 1848 house. Project required creative solutions and Winslows team did a great job. Initially I had to help coordinate carpenters and plumbers to figure out how to make this work. Final project day went very smoothly.

    Drew and the entire team know how to solve problems. We have several properties in Dennis and we had various unique issues at some of our properties. Winslow is NOT the low cost provider on a per visit basis, but they figure problems out, with one visit; ultimately saving you money in the long term. We had a competitor that scheduled numerous visits to fix various issues, and never actually solved the problem(s). In each instance Winslow was able to solve the issue with one visit. Highly recommend E.F. Winslow!

    After a recommendation from a colleague in Chatham, I used E.F. Winslow to replace a 25 year old heating and cooling system and increase the energy efficiency of the entire system including the ducts. Im glad I went with them because after 2 additional quotes, their price was on par with others but their consultation and follow through was more than I had gotten from the other top installer in the area. EFs sales person listened to what I wanted to accomplish, was consultative, and took the extra step of bringing out their senior duct installer to walk through the property a second time. This led to further recommendations and the additional options I wanted to balance the temperature more effectively between the first and second floor. In the end I chose the initial system design. The install crew spent several days removing old duckboard and replacing it with metal and flexible ducts plus insulating them thoroughly. They also widened some registers and returns, and added dampers to create a second zone. Finally they replaced the condenser, coil, and furnace as well as put in a new exhaust. After I lived with the system for a few days, they came back out to balance the system exactly as I wanted. From start to finish, the team was very professional and thorough. From sales to the installers, to the service tech, to the office, everyone was very easy to work with.

    E.F. Winslow is the company to call for any plumbing issue. Jamie’s ability to diagnose the problem, which was tricky and in a virtually inaccessible location, was beyond excellent. The job required that he have multiple skill sets and he did. Jamie did not stop until the job was totally finished. I cannot recommend E.F. Winslow and Jamie enough. They saved the day.

    We selected E.F. Winslow Plumbing & Heating to renovate a full-bath in our 185-year old historic house, because they had past experience working with old, post and beam houses on Cape Cod. We initially met with Chas Hinckley at E.F. Winslows design studio. Chas guided us through the process and risks of renovating an old bathroom. His experience allowed us to optimize the layout, choose the best permanent materials, and he coordinated with E.F. Winslows trade specialists (carpentry, plumbing, and electrical) to achieve the best solution. Work commenced in January 2020 and concluded several months later. E.F. Winslows lead carpenter, Ed, did an excellent job disassembling the old bathroom and reconstructing the new one. As the walls and floor were exposed, we had to make some modest adjustments to accommodate the existing structure. Post and Beam houses are not like conventional framed houses. The structure does not always allow for convenient placement of plumbing and electrical. Ed made great suggestions to minimize the impacts to nearby rooms and to reinforce the load-bearing walls to ensure a solid, final product. E.F. Winslows plumbers and electricians also did a really professional job to meet our specific needs. Throughout the building process, Chas frequently visited the project to ensure that the work was progressing correctly. Also, Freeman Winslow was available by phone to discuss the work.     Eric D. did a great job. Throughout he was efficient, knew what to do, didnt waste any time, had all the parts that he needed on his truck. In my case there was a leak in the first floor ceiling which he opened, pulling down wet sheetrock and put the sheetrock in a bucket that he supplied. Point is he didnt just throw the sheetrock on the floor. He kept the mess contained. The cause of the leaks were failed gaskets in the tub/ shower. He replaced them. No leaks anymore .Eric cleaned up everything. He left my house as clean as could be. Thank you Eric.

    I lost my heat last month and called E.F. Winslow. They responded quickly and got my furnace up and running for me. When it went out again they evaluated the age, condition, and recommended installing a new one. The estimator was very knowledgeable about my set up and my other hp/ac units. His analysis and estimate was reasonable and the appointment set up for the next day. They knew my fireplace would be sufficient heat until the installation could take place. The install was done professionally and quickly. Correcting the exhaust, creating a filter stall for the furnace, electrician and plumbing included CO2 units and gas hook up. All was done in a couple hours and the clean up was perfect.

    Winslow is the best plumbing and heating company on the Cape when it comes to service. If you call, they will answer. Most other plumbers on the Cape do not want this kind of 24/7 service business. I have also used them for projects and they are professional and reliable. Their prices are not the lowest, but I will pay a slight premium for the piece of mind that they will show up in the middle of a winter night if my furnace stops working.

    Closed on a Cape House in August. Got a referral for a local plumber. Agreed to move forward for general plumbing needs and a new hot water tank. He stopped responding to messages. Called 5 more plumbers, several didn’t take new customers, some would not travel 15 miles, others pushed estimates out a month. I spotted EF Winslow truck in E.Dennis and had nothing to lose by striking a conversation. I called the main office and was greeted by Sherri on a Saturday. She understood my needs and scheduled two appointments. One for estimator (Bryan) of hot water tank and second appointment for general plumbing work, (John). Both were punctual and very professional. The plumber gave suggestions which were warranted and made sense to do while making changes. The estimator also presented options and various load restrictions. In the end, I got exactly what I wanted at a fair price. After the first experience and not much luck with others, it was a relief to find a large plumbing and heating contractor that was responsive. Keep in mind, nothing was an emergency so nice to have established relationship on Cape for when the emergency needs happen. Great job and provided peace of mind!
