From choosing the design, colors, materials, appliances and fixtures, we were expertly guided every step of the way!     I would like to begin by saying that there are very few companies out there that go above and beyond with their work and customer service, in the construction industry even less. Northland is a fantastic example of what a true company that has set high expectations in providing excellent customer service on and off the field, and professionalism should be. I have had and continue to have the pleasure of working with them on their projects and work alongside their entire team of professionals, from project managers to designers to field specialists. The attention to detail of the entire Northland team is executed tremendously and although when issues come about, they are quick to resolving the issue and providing the best possible solution. I wouldn’t be able to recommend a single one person above the other at this company to work with on a project because of how simultaneously professional each of the project managers and designers are, that I would be lying to say one is better than the other. I pray only continuous success and prosperity for this amazing company/family/team. When you hit the ground running with Northland the only way is up.

    The Northland team is amazing! They listened to our needs and wants and hit the ground running. The design process was so much fun and they truly nailed it! Our on-site contractor dealt with all the details, sub-contractors and inspectors.. We know he was constantly juggling it all from behind the scenes and really took the stress off of us. We couldnt be more pleased with the entire Northland team!

    We had a wonderful experience working with the team and Northland.The designer was phenomenal. Alyssa’s eye for design and direction she guided us in makes us so happy. We love the stone countertop selection and cabinet stains used.Their PM Brian was very commutative with us throughout the entire process sending weekly updates and seemed to be always one step ahead.I would highly recommend!!

    Over the past 30+ years, Rod and Gina have helped us with design & structural advice, have done work on my parent’s home, and have done various levels of remodeling, to complete reconstruction on four of our neighbors homes, in addition to several other friends homes.Gina is passionate about design and function, making sure each space is the most efficient and comfortable, and Rod is equally focused on the construction details, and completing everything to the highest quality. They truly care about the work they do for you, and conduct their business with the highest of integrity.

    A few weeks ago I met with Gina and Alyssa from Northland Design & Build. I had ideas about new layouts for my laundry and kitchen but just couldn’t quite figure out the puzzle They breezed in with new ideas I never even imagined. They put it all on CAD so that I could see what they envisioned along with a ballpark cost for each room. What a huge help! I can’t wait to get started!!

    We LOVE our new kitchen and dining area. It is really beautiful and is functioning much better than our old space did for my husband in his wheelchair. The added windows make a huge difference in the light, which is really nice on these dark days. I know I wouldnt have been able to make all these selections without Alyssas help. She did a great job of listening to our preferences, and then helping us narrow down the options and make the actual selections. We really appreciate how easy Alyssa, Keegan and your entire crew were to work with. They clearly cared about making sure the job was completed correctly, and that we were happy with everything.

    Northland Design & Build did a fantastic job on our Kitchen/Family Room renovation. This was our 1st ever renovation, so we really didnt know what to expect. Working with them was such a blessing. They came by to view our space, and at that initial meeting, we knew they were the best fit for our project. They were so friendly, and no question was off limits it really put us at ease. From there, it was go time, we had several meetings discussing design/budget/time frame, and they moved like a well-oiled machine. The design process was fun but a bit overwhelming for me because I can be indecisive, my designer, Alicia, helped me focus on what I really wanted in the space, and she helped me feel confident about my decisions. She was able to help guide me on final decisions. I truly valued her voice and input because she wanted to ensure we loved the space. Brian was our project manager, and he and his team executed all the designs. When there were any hiccups with the time frame or design changes on our part, they were flexible and made it work. They have such a vast knowledge that I was always asking questions during the process, and they were always happy to answer questions to help me understand what was happening. One of the things I truly appreciated was the team of people always stayed the same. I knew the people who would be coming to my home, and the work they did was excellent quality and they were always on time. They only worked with the best painters, flooring, and cabinetry contractors, so we trusted that the final project would turn out great. We love our space and have found a great construction company we trust, so we know who to call for future projects. We would highly recommend Northland they were a pleasure to work with.

    Northland exceeded all our expectations. Gina saw my vision and she and Alicia made all the decision making so easy. We were updated weekly on what was happening or what was coming up and even though we remained living onsite Brian was very understanding and accommodating to all our needs. On top of everything, it all turned out better than expected. I can’t wait for phase 2!

    Hi Gina and Rob,We just wanted to reach out again and say thank you for our wonderful kitchen remodel. We have soooo enjoyed our kitchen over the last 6 years! I dont know if you remember but when we started this process, we indicated we planned to move at some point and I wanted to enjoy the kitchen for at least five years. Well, we got six years!We have sold our house here and will be moving in a couple of weeks. A couple of things that we wanted to pass on to you. First, the first thing our real estate agent said when he heard the kitchen remodel was completed by Northland was, they do quality work and are one of the best in the area. He highlighted your company name in our RMLS listing! Second, we did not decide to remodel because we were concerned about resale value; we just wanted to enjoy the space. In hindsight, we feel the cost of the remodel was recovered in a much higher selling price of our house. We sold our house quickly at a higher than asking price and the kitchen was definitely the reason!Once again, thank you!Shelly and Steve Schultheis

    From start to finish, working with Rod, Gina, and the team was an absolute delight. We clicked almost immediately, and I couldnt wait to get our project started. Gina and Esperanza worked tirelessly on the design, and Rod and the boys executed it perfectly. It truly is a family affair working with the Loewers - their sons are part of the company and are delightful hard-working gentlemen.My house is better than I could have ever dreamed of - Gina had amazing space and design ideas that I would have never come up with.     We are just at the end of our big project. We bought a 1972 ranch style home in the country that had never been updated. Thats right, avocado green and burnt orange throughout. It had good bones on a beautiful piece of property but needed lots of TLC. Gina and Rod were just the right team for the job. Teresa loved working with Gina to develop the design. Ginas vision total transformed the kitchen, living area and master suite. Rods experience brought the design to reality and is being finished to perfection. His expert advice was great in making decision on implementation. Rods team is courteous and skilled to finish the job with excellence. Theyre fun too. We will miss hanging out with them. Our move in date has been moved out a few times but I think that is to be expected in todays construction environment. We simply couldnt imagine a better experience, its going to be our dream home and cant wait to move in!

    When we were looking for a Design/Build firm to complete a major remodel of our home, we read dozens and dozens of reviews for companies. We came across Northland Design and Build and saw all the glowing 5-star reviews and I thought to myself, “Yeah, sure, right! Can they really be that good?” The short answer to that question is, “yes they can!” And in fact they are.”The longer answer as to why they get so many good reviews lies in the details. Starting with the planning phase, Gina (the designer) claims there is fun to be had. And you know what? She’s right. She took us to places we never knew existed, had great suggestions for material and layout and was patient as we made decisions. She respected our choices and didn’t push her own agenda unless we were about to make a really stupid decision.The crew that came to work on our project showed up on time and ready to work. Keegan, Glen and Aaron were all respectful of our home, had great attitudes, treated our old dog with patience and politely answered a myriad of questions from us. Their attention to details and quality of work was top notch and exceeded our expectations. At the end, we were supposed to make a list of things we thought needed improvement and the list was completely empty.The finished project is amazing. The house is full of light and blends the indoor space with the outside garden so well. People walk in and are struck by how beautiful the place is and how well it works. It is perfect for entertaining, yet cozy for quiet evenings at home. I have been told my house is magical and I would have to agree. Thank you, Northland, for proving (over and above) you deserve your reputation.

    I have done two projects with Northland and wholeheartedly recommend them. The few unavoidable “hiccups” that come with a project were handled with grace and absolute professionalism.Both on the design side (thanks Alicia!) and the day to day construction process (the whole family, especially the dogs, miss seeing Rip around the house), I enjoyed every interaction with the team.     We bought a modern farmhouse in early 2002. Because we are part of a big family we wanted the kitchen to be the main focus of our home. We have spent many hours around our farm table with our family and friends loving every moment. However, over time we realized our kitchen circa 1996 was incredibly outdated. The white pine cupboards and blue Corian countertops served us well for over 15 years but they were battle worn and we needed a change. We also were faced with a storage challenge. Because our kitchen was oddly shaped with a peninsula island it made cooking with more than one person tough.We researched many different contractors before we selected Northland Design & Build to remodel our kitchen and dining area. Rod and Gina Loewer and their design team stepped up to the job. They listened to our needs and wants as well as thought outside the box presenting us with ideas we never thought about. They presented a realistic budget that didn’t scare the hell out of us - and made those things we thought impossible -possible.Because our remodel was big we knew it was going to be on the expensive side. We viewed this remodel as an investment in our home. Rod and Gina worked hard at saving us money, they were transparent throughout the entire process, stayed on schedule as best as they could, looked out for our safety, were extremely communicative, and were seriously a dream to work with.The end result - One amazing, sexy, modern, beautiful kitchen with all brand new appliances- a fantastic dining area, fantastic storage solutions, new stone work, new cabinets, tile, flooring and paint as well as other custom touches that were important to us.Every morning I would pinch myself and say “Wow! This is really my kitchen!”If you really want your vision to jump off the page and come to life Northland Design & Build is the answer.

    What an adventure! This partial remodel (kitchen, 2 bathrooms and a laundry room) transformed our modest home. Gina helped steer us toward timeless improvements and had comprehensive knowledge of what was possible and available. NL used the laser Matterport instrument to get precision measurements, which fed into comprehensive CAD drawings. This technology and the resulting renderings were central to seeing the effect of design choices and provided a seamless transition to the construction phase once those choices were made. Special improvements, incorporated in the design, to make the home more handicap accessible will allow us to age-in-place without needing to move at a future time. Once construction began, the skills of the workers came into play. To a man, they were careful, and showed the highest levels of professional skill, which made the result something we are proud of. They were always pleasant, very responsive to suggestion, and easy to talk to. Toward the end, we kept a joint punch list which kept the focus on the myriad details needing attention. Of special note were Brian, a jack-of-all-trades, who was on site a large fraction of the time and Tom who was very detail conscious. We were quite surprised one day to find Brian working behind the gas range in an impossibly confined space. The subcontractors were equally careful, and skilled, and offered numerous suggestions which led to better outcomes. Of particular note were the tile-setters. This father and son team had an exceptional eye that resulted in attractive tile layouts in all four rooms. The end result of all these contributors is something NL can be proud of and we will enjoy for the rest of our lives.

    We selected northland to do our kitchen/family room and 2 bathroom remodel after meeting with Gina and Alyssa and having an instant positive chemistry with them. The ideas and insight on design from Alyssa were invaluable and resulted in exactly what we had envisioned. We had several difficult design/engineering issues that Rod and his team were able to successfully negotiate and could not be more happy with the final result. Jamie was the perfect project manager for our project and was on top of everything from start to finish.Northland is the kind of contractor that you just don’t find anymore. They show up on time, do what they say they will do and provide quality workmanship all the while being respectful of your home.     The Team at Northland and Design are a step above the rest. As we all know having entire remodel top to bottom can be very stressful. Rod, Gina and team made the process very manageable with very little stress.
