Recently our gas forced hot water furnace stopped working late on a Friday night. I called and left a message for Owen. He returned my call and was able to come to the house on Saturday morning. The immediate issue turned out to be a faulty thermocouple. In making that repair, Owen pointed out a larger potential issue by observing water stains on the basement floor and a small drip from a relief valve. The issue was likely the safety valves and/or the expansion tank. Owen clearly explained the potential consequences of the problem, the solution to fix it, the cost of the fix and issues if we waited until the system failed.Owen had all the necessary parts with him and was able to complete the repair (it turned out the issue was the expansion tank) in a few hours. He was professional, courteous and cleaned up after the job. And he was patient in explaining how the whole heating system worked to a curious homeowner. The system has been running perfectly since.I would gladly recommend Owen to anyone with a plumbing/heating issue.

Owen Geoghegan is a professional by all means. We were in the process of selling our home and the buyer’s inspector noted some items that needed work. I called Owen and within a few hours he responded as I explained to him what was requested. He came over the next day to assess the boiler and the leaking sewer pipe. Owen explained in detail what needed to be done, what needed to be replaced and provided us with an estimate for the entire job.The work was done on time and on budget. Thanks to his prompt service we resolved the issues the buyer requested. I would highly recommend Owen for any type of plumbing or heating work. Owen takes the time to make sure that you understand what he is doing and why, whether it is a repair or an upgrade.

Owen came to us on a Sunday when we had a bad leak and effectively no water except a few dozen small bottled water containers. The problem was a bit more complicated than wed thought and Owen spent five hours installing a new shower and tub control valve. Despite its being a Sunday, he had a good disposition throughout the job. Owen was careful to explain what he was doing and made sure we understood the problem and the solution.repair.He took care to clean up around the job area. I would recommend Owen without reservation.

Owen is a real professional. We have used his services a few times in our house, indoor and outdoor plumbing, big and small jobs, and he was always on time, in budget and left us completely satisfied with the quality of his work. I have recommended him to neighborhood groups, and will call him next time we have a problem with water or gas.

Owen came out in blizzard conditions as soon as was possible when our tenants had no heat. He replaced the circulator pump and got the radiators up and running within an hour or so. Stellar emergency service!
