James and his worker changed the breaker panel to a new one!! Installed a 50-amp outlet outside for a Generator!! He had to cut the panel hole bigger did a nice Neet job!! they labeled the box, and test ran the Generator for the whole house!!! Right the first time that is why I will only hire Current Electric for our Electrical needs!!!!! I got another quote for same job they were $2200 more for same job!!

Had them back again for an inlet for the generator into the main panel and an interlock device so I dont have to have the generator in the lanai with three or four cords going through the cat door to the fridge, chest freezer, etc., etc.. So, bring on the storms!No, dont do that. No more storms. But, since Duke routinely has power outages, it will now just be a minor inconvenience. Nice job, fair price. Theyre our go to electricians.

I called Current Electric because of the very high marks they received by reviews. I can see why now that I am a customer. My wife and I have a Tesla that we wanted to charge at home. Well for a couple of months we were unplugging our dryer in our utility room and plugging in our Tesla mobile charger cord. We would have to leave the utility room door open because the giant mobile extension cord was pretty thick. This was very inconvenient because we couldn’t dry our clothes and charge and the same time. Also the car was charging at slower rate because plug amperage is not high enough to charge the Tesla at the maximum class 2 level. Another bad thing was happening bugs were flying in the open door and it’s not that easy for my wife to unplug the big 240 volt dryer plug if she had to do it. So I called Current electric to help find a better solution. I spoke to Jessica and told her our problem. She asked if I could send her some pictures and take a couple of measurements. She emailed me an estimate which seemed reasonable for what I thought was a pretty simple job. Well I’m not an electrician and it was not simple. Jabier and his assistant worked very hard and the incredible job they did was remarkable for the amount of money I paid. The materials and workmanship are top notch. Everything was cleaner when they left then when they arrived. You can tell even if your not an expert that a good job was done. Our Tesla charges at the max rate now and the outlet looks great. I couldn’t be happier.

James and his crew were very pleasant, courteous, respectful and prompt as they were with the past jobs. We were scheduled for a 2 day job, the first day James came with his crew and got them started. The second day the crew came alone and were just as courteous, professional, diligent, clean and over all as great as they were when the boss was with them. Before they left they swept up all debris and left the job cleaner than it was when they arrived the first day. I would definitely use Current Electric again. While no company is perfect and no job is executed without issues, the areas of concern with Current Electric are very minor. They replaced my dated interior panel and added a new exterior panel. This was the scoped of the work they quoted to execute and the only thing I hired them to do. However, the exterior panel was much larger than originally planned (a bonus as it affords for more possible future circuits), they swapped out old, malfunctioning breakers, and reconfigured the wiring so that all exterior appliances were wired to the exterior panel and all interior to the inside panel. Very nice. None of this was added to the final cost of the bill. Was it because they were nice, or padded the original quote for such problems (but keep the difference when none arise)? I don’t know. Not do I care. The job was done in a day (even though it rained some), and the panels and new wiring I installed exceeded my expectations and passed all inspections without issue. The minor quibble: they left a little bit of a mess inside and outside of the house from left over construction materials. They did NOT, however, track any dirt from outside in which is far more important than the construction materials. In summary, there were no surprises, no extra costs and the job was done with no inconvenience to us. What more can you ask?
