The other reviews on here were very informative a accurate. I needed a piece premium lumber to finish our new reception window. The selection of fancy exotic woods was impressive. They dug through piles of wood to find just the right piece for me. Squared and planed it to perfection for me. I also found a finished rolling pin while I was there. The staff is experienced craftsmen with endless amounts of experience. The up coming project classes look like great fun. I am thrilled to have them available to help and supply quality wood for future projects! -

I came for some premium lumber, and left with priceless insight on my woodworking project. Marcus, Jordan and Mike are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I look forward to attending one of their monthly classes. -

You may be able to find another location for local hardwoods and exotic lumber, but Ive never seen a place that had the lumber, a seriously committed staff, and an open makers shop. The staff at Camp 3 are anxious to share their knowledge, and just as anxious to learn from their customers. What a great addition to the Midland/Sanford region! -

This place is a hidden gem for woodworkers, so much to write about! I have never seen such a broad selection of wood species in person - they have basically any type of wood that you can make something out of. The first thing I spotted when I walked in was probably the most beautiful piece of curly bubinga on the planet, and then my eyes drifted to the other 50+ species they have. Really wish I had taken some pictures.Good selection of domestic hardwoods (more than enough stock in all kinds of widths, mostly 4/4 if memory serves), exotics (a few boards each of probably 30 species, varying thicknesses, some just a foot or two long, some pushing 10 feet), many uncommon softwoods like cypress and redwood, plywood (Baltic birch, walnut, sapele, cherry and a few more), slabs (mostly less than 2 inches thick and dried, many spalted), beautiful quarter sawn douglas fir boards which are tough to find in this area, fir plywood which _is_ impossible to find in this area, etc. They even had a couple very nice looking boards of holly wood which were nicer than anything I could find on eBay. The only thing they didnt have that I would have liked to pick through was ebony and I cant hold it against them because I wouldnt have bought any. Sounds like prices and selection are subject to a little bit of fluctuation. I bought 1 board foot of really nice holly for $40 which I felt was pretty darn reasonable for being able to pick the exact board I wanted instead of taking a gamble online for slightly less money.I got to talk to one of the new owners and it sounds like they will be renting out their tools and offering the use of a sawmill for customers in the near future. Cant remember if he said they had a kiln. Theyre also going to offer some interesting classes like building your own foot powered lathe and learning hand cut dovetails. Really nice owner, definitely owe it to yourself to at least see all of the wood in person and give them your business - I used to drive over an hour for wood but this is my new spot!
