Fantastic experience at each stage of the project with GVD Renovations. Replaced all siding with James Hardie Board. Project was on schedule and completed with expertise. Patrick with sales was a pleasure to work with and the reason we selected GVD.Entire project was turn-key with painting eaves, foundation and downspouts/gutters all included in the price (where other companies charged extra).Crew came daily to the Bay Area from Roseville and arrived early and worked late each day. Entire project took just over 2.5 weeks when other companies estimated four weeks.Attention to detail and the ability to problem solve things that came up quickly was very appreciative.A list of references was provided along with the bid upfront. Each client we spoke with shared how great things turned out and would absolutely work with GVD again. As the building inspector said on final sign-off, This is the nicest siding job Ive ever seen.We plan to work with GVD again on future home renovations.

Summer of 2024 we were faced with a need to have a bathtub removed and replaced with a walk in shower. Time was going to be an issue so when we started looking for a contractor, we had concerns that the project could turn into a mess with promises that could not be delivered, a half-done job or shoddy efforts, possibly creating more worries and chaos.Right from the start, with an immediate phone response to set up an appointment, Roman arrived with information and a solid and reasonable estimate. Then Alex came in to measure and within days, the demo by Eugene was done and everything ordered. As soon as the shower pan arrived, Eugene (who is a most amazing and skilled worker!) quickly constructed the panels and did the Davis upgrade required fan installation. GVD (Alex is an excellent coordinator) handled all permits and scheduling with City, another aspect that kept things running smoothly.When a problem arose with the curtain not being able to stay in pan, both Roman and Alex were attentive to the issue and worked quickly to make it right with Roman personally coming to install a water guard.What a pleasant outcome! GVD absolutely delivered on quality, workmanship, communication and timeliness. We are most appreciative of their efforts to please the customer and found them to be of good character and were glad to welcome them in the house. If we have another project, we would call them first and highly recommend them.

We recently had our siding and windows replaced by GVD Renovations. After getting quotes from five companies, GVD stood out for their competitive pricing and willingness to work with our needs. Choosing them turned out to be an excellent decision. The crew that worked on my house was fantastic. They were incredibly efficient and completed the job in a timely manner, minimizing disruption to my daily routine. They also kept the worksite clean and organized throughout the project. The city inspector who did the inspections even praised them for their high-quality work! This gave us immense peace of mind and confirmed our initial impression. The new siding has completely transformed the look and feel of our house! We are so happy with the final product.

I had several bids on siding and a window enlargement and GVD renovations was the most professional and detailed in their negotiations.I have had several contractors at my house over the years and I will say that GVD renovations did the highest quality job. The teams work was 5 star, there was such attention to detail , a superior job ethic. I am so happy how everything turned out, I highly recommend them. Only small detail may be a language barrier, I did not ask enough questions regarding each line item prior to signing the contract, so there was a couple of issues.

We selected GVD Renovations after evaluating five other proposals. Their reputation, reviews, and James Hardie siding expertise along with competitive pricing were the deciding factors. Our project included removal of the old siding and demo of an old rotted deck. The installation of James Hardie Artisan V groove siding, El Dorado stacked stone veneer, and painting the siding, gutters, and downspouts. The siding and painting teams worked hard every day with attention to detail. They communicated any questions or concerns as needed. Overall, we were extremely pleased with the end result. Our house was transformed from an outdated cottage to an updated modern farmhouse.

The folks at GVD Renovations did a GREAT job on my siding project. From start to finish, there was consistent communication from Nick in project management, and the onsite crew was exemplary in performance. Their work ethic, craftsmanship, and commitment to customer satisfaction was evident daily. Whether it be the daily, visible progress, the communication on process and next steps, or the worksite cleanup at the end of the day, the commitment to professionalism and quality was palpable. So much so, that I chose them (without getting bids) to install a patio door in addition to the siding project. That’s a testament to the rapport and trust that was built during the project, facilitated primarily by Alex (sp?) who directed most of the onsite communication. GVD met all progress deadlines and exceeded expectations in quality of work. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to friends, family, and neighbors. If you want it done right, and on time, give GVD the opportunity to earn your business!

After doing some research on siding companies I decided to give GVD Renovations a call. I left them a message and the quickly gave me a call back. They asked what was the best time for me to have a sales rep come out to look at the job and give us an estimate. We agreed on a date and time which was within a couple of days from me calling.The day of the estimate Gary McAlister came out and was on time and very professional. We walked around the project together with him pointing out what they could do for us. Gary was very easy to talk to. Within less than 24 hours Gary had a full estimate prepared for us to review. I would not hesitate to call GVD for an estimate for your project.

Our siding had been recalled decades ago, but we missed the recall. We maintained it well, but always knew the time for replacement would arrive. We had three bids on our job and decided to go with GVD. The estimator was great, and he gave us a very competitive price and included extra things not offered by the other two companies. The crew was equally great. We are very happy with the results and have even had people ask us if we just did a new addition. House looks new again!

I am giving GVD a five star review only because that is the max you can give. I have built a house from scratch and done several other major renovations (kitchen, bathroom, living room, and bedroom addition). In all those projects there was something that didnt go right or I just wasnt happy with the results. With this siding project there was not a single issue and I couldnt be happier with the results. Communication was spot on. Nick answered my texts almost immediately. I cant say enough about the crew. Such nice guys and they had such attention to detail. They did above and beyond what we expected. I feel that we definitely got our moneys worth. Added bonus, they cleaned up after themselves at the end of each day, so no living in construction debris. They also did the work so fast. My last project was supposed to take six weeks and it took five months. GVD did this project right on schedule. If you have a large project I would emphatically recommend them and will use them again.

G them because they were SO thorough. Their contract and paperwork explained all the things that were covered and all the things they would check for including an allotment for a given square foot of dry rot repairs. Based on all that and their excellent reviews, we went with them. I am happy to report that there were no surprise expenses. The crew that came out was so nice and respectful. They work FAST! Every time I peeked out the window an entire section was done. I also really appreciate the care they took in doing the caulking and painting, as well as hiding as many wires as possible. They really care that the final product looks as great as it can look. Our house is very old and getting the new siding makes the entire house feel like a brand-new house. I couldnt be happier with it. The only bad thing that happened is I did lose an entire shelf of glasses. They bang on all the walls to ensure there is no dry rot and as our ancient house shifted, that shelf fell, and those glasses broke. No fault of GVDs, but something to be aware of - secure your things that are on the external walls. I also must add that every single person I spoke with at GVD was super nice and professional. I couldnt recommend them more.

Our project was a complete installation of Hardie Board siding on our house, sheds and a patio cover replacement. We originally had one half of the house covered in vinyl siding and one half in stucco. The old metal patio cover was from the 60s. GVDs siding crew were craftsmen that expertly installed siding, trimmed and painted that trim on the house and our two sheds, built a special door for the cover of the water heater cabinet, trimmed out the front door eave and pole hiding some sprinkler wires that had long been an eyesore, and took the time to make sure that everything was lined up and perfect. We have an old house that had many issues that GVD patiently overcame without sacrificing quality. We also worked on reducing outside cabling and wiring so that the new siding look is clean. They saved our Leaf Guard gutters and reinstalled them. GVD put up with my questions and concerns along with way. We were so pleased with this engagement that we have signed up with GVD for two follow-on projects.

Efficient installation. I wish they would have followed up with us on their estimate for windows as we would have chosen them on windows too. A few issues occurred mainly to do with miscommunication because of not having an english speaking person onsite always. It would be nice if they had a wallboard professional to fix when they damage wallboard but all-in-all we are happy with the look of our new siding and would use on a future job.

Thank you GVD for our 2 beautiful bathrooms and new crown molding.Our bathrooms were in need of an update. It seemed like a long time between contract signing (2/12/24) start of construction (5/28/24) and completion (7/18/24) but it was worth the wait. Alex, our project manager, was always easy to get a hold of. He set up a group text which was used throughout the project. The work crew was amazing. An extra big shout out of thanks to Alex, Antoneli, Mike and Vlad. You could tell they all took pride in their workmanship. They were all so considerate, helped with little decisions, always cleaned up the work areas and it was nice to get to know them throughout the project. We also set up a lockbox on the house so if we were away, the project could still continue without us being home.

We are in the process of getting estimates from a few different contractors. GVD Renovations was one of the first companies we contacted. Mike B. came to our house and spent almost three hours explaining everything about the kitchen remodeling process. Mike B. Is very knowledgeable and answered every question we had. We never felt rushed and the whole experience was very informative. At the end of our meeting Mike B. took measurements and scheduled a follow up meeting at the design center to go over our estimate.At our estimate review meeting Mike B. showed us some sample of cabinets, countertops, and flooring. After that he went over our estimate line by line and again answered every question we had. We have yet to make our final decision, but if we select GVD Renovations we are sure Mike B. and his team will do the job with excellence.

My wife and I decided to fix the siding, soffit, windows and gutters of our home before our first child was born. Honestly, my wife and i knew nothing about sidings, window brands or contracting before this. So we took our time and did our research. We got contacted multiple recommended contractors from on Angies List. GVD responded immediately and we setup an appointment with Andy. Andy was helpful in answering our many questions. During the whole decision process, Andy stayed in contact constantly, answering alot more questions we had about their process, pricing and products. In the end we chose GVD as they surprising price matched one of the other bids we got. The project was slated to take around 2-3 weeks starting in beginning of July which was perfect timing as our baby was due around 7 weeks from the time they were to start. Alex and his team were very professional and made sure to wear face masks when inside the house and clean up the site at the end of the day. Special thanks to Vitale(?) who helped complete a lot of the tiny details my wife pointed out. Unfortunately, the wrong sized sliding door was ordered and the Alside factory at the time was operating at 60% due to COVID-19 so it would take a couple weeks for a new slider to be made. This pushed the project to be completed after our son was born.The one negative from our experience was the Alside products. Although all windows and sliding doors were installed professionally, we had issues with the product themselves. We choose to do a black exterior and white interior for the window finish. Unfortunately we did not know that you could see the black exterior from the inside, which looks somewhat odd to us. The black finish was also not done very well as it overlapped in some of the white finish (I was able to clean this off myself with some work). Another thing was the Alside Mezzo windows had issues with the seals that held the window panes in place. The seals were not entirely cut to size and alot of them were cut short and were loose because of it. The sliding door screen also has an issue locking when trying to close. I am not sure if this is just the quality of the Alside product or if the COVID-19 situation reduced the quality of the product by Alside at the factory level. Either way, this was not Vlad and his teams fault and they did their best in trying to resolve some of these issues.Overall, the siding, soffit and gutters were installed professionally and look great! If we had to do it again, we would probably choose a different Alside product or different brand (Anderson) for the windows and sliding door replacement. Thank you again to Vlad and his entire team for helping make this process as easy and smooth as possible!

GVD was awesome to work with. Recently we did a major overhaul of our kitchen including cabinets and countertops. I am not an expert at home design and was very stressed about this aspect of a remodel, but their design team helped uschoose cabinets, colors, textures, and so on and they were able to give us a computer generated image of what my kitchen would look like with various selections. It looked exactly like the image when they finished which was fantastic. Additionally their demolition and construction teams were super timely and even early on some aspects of the project. All in all the whole process was very professional and I would use them again in a minute for future home renovation projects.

I got five bids to replace all the siding on my house. All contractors recommended Hardyboard siding, but GVD was the only company that had the Hardy specifications and procedures, and guaranteed to follow the Hardy specifications exactly. GVD was not the very lowest bid, but they seemed to understand the job requirements best.A crew of four showed up. They walked around with me to verify exactly what work was to be done, what fixtures and trim to replace and what to retain the old stuff. They went straight to work like a well-oiled machine, pulling off the old siding and checking for underlying damage. If there was any question, they asked specifically what do you want us to do about this? I was never in doubt that the crew was on top of the job. A lot o flittle thingsl, like dressing up the weather station wiring or the sprinkler system wiring, just got done neatly without any problems.The finished job is neat, just like the picture books. There were no unexplained delays, like the crew not showing up or leaving half-way through the day for another job. When they were done, they cleaned up all the small debris (nails, staples, scraps of old siding) pretty well.

The tile/marble work in particular is spectacular - the attention to detail and quality of workmanship has made for 4 beautiful rooms. The master bath in particular was a huge change and the kitchen is a dream, clean lines and very functional. They clearly communicated any changes to costs based on our asks so there were no surprises. all of the subcontractors made sure to confirm design details before proceeding and at times made recommendations that were better than our original plans. They also painted the existing stucco and replaced all gutters. They also replaced 3 existing front windows.Initially, there were setbacks caused by supply chain issues with custom windows. This delayed the project by about 6 month. Once the project started, it was handled efficiently. The windows did not fit perfectly and the structure around the windows had to be changed.All the work was done perfectly and within the originally quoted price.We are very happy with the results. My wife and I found GVD Renovations at the Northern California Home & Landscape Expo Sunday January 26th. We booked for a price quote and within the week (January 30th.) Gary was at our house giving us a quote for a wall addition. The job also included electrical for outlets, lights switches, instillation of a hard wired smoke detector, installation of three recessed lights, painting, texture, matching baseboards, framing to include a 4x12 header 11.7 ft length for future french barn doors, cutouts of existing laminate, and bathroom vanity kick-plate replacement with caulking to prevent further splashing problems from children in the bathtub. We were able to sign a contract the same day due to fair pricing and the confidence Gary had in his company. The fact that they are active members of multiple contractor associations and have an extensive history of positive feedback was a major factor in deciding to sign the same day as well. We planned for 1-2 weeks of work as we decided to permit the wall addition. Very soon after Vlad was at our house on the weekend drawing up the designs for the permit. We then were able to expedite the build and started Monday February 17th. Alex and Peter were the contractors working on our home. They were amazingly polite, they involved my wife and I in the build process, they closed off the room to keep our house clean, covered pictures, covered laminate, and were extremely efficient. Of note, I have three small daughters and one with Autism who has lots of noise sensory problems. Alex and Peter were conscientious of my daughters needs and would give me a heads up when the were preparing to make lots of noise. They worked throughout the week and then finished the clean up to coincide with the final permit inspection on the following Monday. One more thing of note is that as the inspectors were touring their work they made time to mention how impressed they were with the frame job. I am giving GVD Renovation and its team the most glowing recommendation I have ever given any contractor before as I have never had this much ease, to include total job satisfaction, and as well as billing satisfaction with a contractor. Thank you all so very much. I have been recommending you to all my family and friends and will be keeping your number close for any future projects.

My wife and I contracted with GVD to replace all the windows and sliding doors in our house and also to replace most of our existing exterior wood siding and paint the entire outside of the house. They finished the project a few days ago. Every GVD employee was prompt, courteous and professional, including the original estimator, the project director, the payment department, and most importantly, all the on-site workers. They listened to what my wife and I had to say and made every attempt to address every mid-stream concern. They also brought new questions of their own to our attention as they progressed on the project.The old siding was removed in one day. The new siding was precision-cut and installed quickly. The painting also was quick. The attention-to-detail in everything, including the trim painting was incredibly precise. The Anlin windows and exterior Hardie trim are excellent products. The crew applied extensive high-quality caulking in every possible location. They cleaned up thoroughly at the end of every work day and always maintained a safe work site.As far as I can tell, their prices are competitive, but its hard to imagine a better value in terms of quality of materials and labor. Our house is a very modest split-level with little inherent architectural interest. But the quality of the Anlin windows and GVDs work transformed its curb appeal. We were a small job, but they treated us like a big customer.

Husband did demo and some of the construction (replaced window and built pony wall). GVD took down the concrete to form drain for walk-in shower, redid plumbing, tiled shower enclosure and bathroom floor, installed drywall, installed grab bars, and installed glass on top of pony wall. Husband painted, installed toilet, and replaced fixtures. If you have very specific design ideas make sure they are all in the contract before signing. We have never hired a contractor before, and details are important. GVD owner worked with us to mutual satisfaction. Best designer/tile man/worker ever is Slovic! I just had GVD do James Hardie siding on my house and I’m very pleased with the job they did. It took the crew one day to remove all the old siding. The guys were very nice and they worked hard everyday from dawn till dusk. There were a few days they even worked by flashlight when it got dark. They cleaned up everyday before they left at the end of the day. The crew repaired all the wood damage behind the old siding and made it better than when it was first built. They actually made the house more structurally sound. It looks like a new house now. I’m a very satisfied customer and I highly recommend GVD Renovations 👍.I just want thank Patrick Newbold, renovation consultant, for doing a great job in getting the ball rolling on this project and also a thanks to Nick Shvaya, project manager, for doing an amazing job coordinating the job from start to finish. Finally a big thanks to the best hard working crew that installed the new siding. Months later, I am still admiring what an amazing job GVD did. 😊GVD is now my go to if I need more work done in the future.
