Do you know about Buddy Palmer? AKA the hidden gem of Wheatland. AKA Wheatland’s best kept secret treasure? That may sound dramatic, but I kid you not, he saved us this week. We had a leak under our toilet. No clue it was happening until it became an issue. We pulled back the tile. Saw the damage. I cried on the bathtub for awhile because I figured this would cost us a fortune and take forever to fix. Someone suggested we call Buddy, and I’m so indebted that she did. Buddy came out, checked out the damage, assured me that it happens and he’s dealt with it before, didn’t make me feel like I’d really screwed up (I was so embarrassed this has happened to us!!) and was generally a nice guy. He gave us a quote (under what I expected and had researched and within our budget) and said it might be more depending on what he found (I appreciated his honesty).He was booked 3 weeks out but recognized our time crunch. That’s something I love about him, he’s really honest and human and actually cares. I’m sure he saw how distraught I was so he went and called some clients to see if someone would make room for us to have ours done. Whoever made room for us, I owe you cookies. We got on the schedule super fast. Buddy said he could do it in one day and I thought, no way, it’ll bleed into two. I’ve been around construction a lot of my life and a project like this would take 2.They showed up on time. Buddy took a minute to introduce me to everyone he brought and can I say, I’ve had some negative experiences in the past with men coming to work on the house to the point that I’m nervous or uncomfortable when I know someone is coming. But not this time. Buddy’s team is amazing. I made them cookies because I liked them so much. They’re respectful, honest, and they lay down floor protectors and did their best to protect my home. They didn’t curse once in front of me. That said a lot in my opinion. Top notch crew. Part way through my husband checked on me because he knows I get nervous when I have a lot of men working at the house that I don’t know, and I wrote back “I love buddy’s crew!!” They’re just easy to work with. Can’t say enough good about them.They worked quickly and efficiently. They went above and beyond. Buddy photographed and videoed in case we needed the information later. They worked so crazy fast, but not sloppy, wonderful attention to detail. They even replaced all my baseboard with new ones, better ones than I had! When the day was through, I had a gorgeous bathroom, on time and on budget. I love Buddy’s work and the people he works with. Be smart. If you have a project, call Buddy. He does everything. And he works around the whole area, not just wheatland. He’s on our short list. Actually, he is our list. Pick Buddy for all your house project needs.
