    After finding mushrooms growing in my crawlspace I called several local companies for estimates. All of the inspectors showed me photos of growth on my joists. Doug from Stable Foundations impressed me immediately and presented me with a solution that made sense. Once I had chosen Stable Foundations for the job there was a little bit of a disconnect about scheduling but it was resolved quickly. Jesse and his crew arrived promptly and completed the “moisture control system” in two days. This consisted of removing the old insulation from the main part of the house (we have an addition that didn’t need treatment) treating the wood and installing new insulation. Next the crew sealed all the vents, replaced one of my crawlspace doors, installed a dehumidifier and hygrometer and finished with a heavy-duty vapor barrier. If I need additional crawlspace or foundation work done I definitely know who to call.

    We recently encountered a concerning issue in our gated community, where some of the gate brick pillars had begun to tilt dangerously towards the gates. This was not only a safety hazard but also compromised the aesthetic appeal of our entrance.     I just had a foundation repair completed by Stable Foundations at my home in Chesterfield County, VA.     I cannot tell you how happy I am that I called this company. We purchased a house where an engineer told the purchaser before us that the foundation was in trouble. They walked away from the deal. That was such a blessing to us. Zach inspected the foundation and told us it was fine. We had some small issues that landscaping, repointing a stoop and gutter spouts would solve. We were so nervous that we were going to have thousands in work. Zach was so honest and helpful. He even followed up with an email with all the contractors I needed for the minor repairs. This company has integrity which you do not see often anymore. Thank you all so much!     Oh my gosh, I heard so many different explanations of my problem and many of them did not make sense. Then the outrageous solutions were even more unbelievable and scary. We called Stable Foundations for them to take a look. They knew exactly what our situation was and had a very sensible solution. Doug knew exactly what the cause of the problem was and the most common sense solution. I knew I would find a company who could handle a major problem with our house, and one that I trusted 100%.

    I recently had a moisture system installed in my crawlspace. Zach Hudson felt that since it was such a small area that adding a vapor barrier and new insulation as well as a dehumidifier would be sufficient. I appreciate not being pressured to get something more than I needed. Stable set up installation quickly. Jesse(who I must apologize to for calling him Josh) and his crew came out and performed the work in one day. They were respectful, polite, efficient. Although I think removing so much old insulation was more than they bargained for. Jesse and the guys cleaned everything up when finished. Great work. Jamie also did a great job wiring the electricity for the dehumidifier. Sam in the office always responded to any inquiries that I had. I would not hesitate to call Stable for any foundation or crawlspace issues. Thank you so much Stable!

    I didnt actually hire Stable Foundations after having them take a look at waterproofing a basement because Zach saw the issue after some flooding and recommended gutters and landscaping work. Its great to know that this company wont bill and charge you for work that you dont need and that theyre incredibly helpful with suggestions to keep your home in good shape. He also took a look at our crawl space for any issues free of charge. I will definitely be hiring this team if we do need any foundational or waterproofing work.

    Stable Foundations sprayed for mold and installed a new vapor barrier in our large crawlspace (about 3000 sf). From start to finish this was a very professional team. They explained the various concerns and considerations for the work that needed to be done, and described the tradeoffs of different approaches. We felt like we were part of making an informed decision about a significant investment. They were excellent at scheduling the work and letting us know when they would be on site. There were no surprises and they completed the work on time and on budget. I highly recommend them. They know their stuff and their work is of the highest quality.

    I thought I had foundation issues so I called for estimate. Technician arrived on time, was very professional yet personable. He looked at my areas of concern inside and then inspected my foundation. He had great news for me! No problem with foundation just normal settling. Advised me to keep an eye on it for any changes-has been this way for many years- and to call if I saw changes. Very honest company! I will definitely call them should I have actual foundation issue in the future.

    We had work done our home 12 yrs ago in the Varina area. There was movement on the corner of our home on an elevated area. The ground gets fair amount of movement. at the time of the initial work we were presented to options; a fix and that most would do and an option that would permanently fix the issue. Through time as with a lot of the homes in our neighborhood we noticed some movement. Vernon schools came out clearly explained how the foundation and ground relationship works then dispatched a crew under warranty no questions asked.We had excellent service, timely response and communication. the crew was professional and did nice clean work.I would highly recommend.

    Vernon Schools was excellent. They installed 6 helical piers and jacked the house and it seemed to work out fine. Vern was able to ascertain the issues and draw a field sketch on the first visit. They did the one quote with very little back and forth needed. The install went smoothly. They were paid promptly. They also came recommended by my insurance company and by my structural engineer. They are also the only company I could find which does interior crawl space helical piers.

    A deck support post was replaced, along with a section of the concrete foundation and footer upon which it rested. Some beams were replaced as well. A section of French drain was extended to avoid future problems. We are 100% pleased with every aspect! It was a pleasure to work with Stable Foundations.

    We recently has Stable Foundations (SF) come to our 1940s house to evaluate/estimate structural work. This was part of us looking for a second opinion. We had another structural company come out and wanted to compare the proposed work/estimate. The Estimator provided sound information and was straightforward, letting us know that what we would likely need was a brick mason to repair the existing footings, compared to more than $15,000 quote from another company for work that is unnecessary. While I did not use Stable Foundations, they have my full recommendation for their professionalism and honesty. I appreciated this very much.

    Stable Foundation’s technician Doug H. was extremely professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I was concerned that the humidity in my crawlspace was too high, but he assured me that it was ok at 47%. I asked him about a fleeting crawlspace smell in our home and he pointed out that the HVAC system refrigerant lines had not been properly sealed where they go through wall. This was corrected and the smell was mostly abated. Nothing but a 5 star rating for Stable Foundations.

    I was texted about 30 minutes prior to the team arrival. They were careful not to tear up my yard with the excavator and also were careful not to destroy shrubs even though they were very close. After completing the work to restore the foundation, Jamie and team were very conscientious in replacing the mulch bed where disturbed and replaced the soil around the foundation nicely. All the workers were very cordial and stopped when I came out to check on their progress. I could hardly tell they had been here and I could tell the foundation had been elevated to where it originally had been. I was very pleased.

    I had some foundation work done,the whole crew that worked at my house was very professional.They did an excellent job installing helical piers to support the foundation.I expected to have a mess around the house and the crawl space but when they were done with the job everything was all cleaned up and you could barely tell that they had to do a lot of digging.The job was scheduled to be done in one week and it was completed in one week.The crew was there every morning as scheduled at 08:30.Everybody was very friendly and answered every question that I had.Jacob was very knowledgeable about all the work that had to be done.

    Started with the engineer who came out and looked at my home and realized that yes I had some foundation issues with my chimney pulling out the crew they sent to do the job the four guys all work together in sync each one knew what they were supposed to do and just rolled like a rhythm to take care of what their job was so the second day the engineer came back they were here for perhaps an hour at the most hour and a half and had my home stabilized and everything filled back in very polite very courteous great team would recommend to everyone who may have stabilization issues with your foundation or any other service that they provide

    I recently had Stable Foundations come look at a few cracks in my foundation. Doug was absolutely outstanding. I can’t say enough good things about my experience with him. He took time to answer all my questions and explain things in a way that I could understand. Doug was honest with me the whole time and told me that I didn’t need to take any action right now but told me things to look for, and if they happen then it would be time to address things. This blew me away as I feel like with foundations it can be very easy to scare potential customers into agreeing to expensive fixes because let’s face it, how much does the average person know about foundations? While I didn’t need any services today because of the honesty and customer service I will absolutely use Stable Foundations in the future if the need ever arises and in the meantime I will recommend them to family and friends.

    Stable Foundations performed an Amazing job installing helical piles under our foundation. Everyone on their team is professional, extremely knowledgeable, very thorough, and very friendly.     Their estimated starting/ending dates were within one day of the actual work period, and they were punctual and careful with timekeeping. Answers to all of my questions were given promptly and clearly. Seven piers under my house were stabilized, which required both men and equipment to be in the crawl space. Digging occurred, and some of the encapsulation material had to be moved to complete the work; when they were finished, the crawl space looked as though nothing had happened: they replaced the dirt and repaired the encapsulation material. Now the cracks in my walls have reduced in gap size, and crown molding that had separated from the ceiling by about 1/4 is now back on the ceiling. Everybody in the firm has been very professional, helpful, and easy to work with. We are very happy to have found out about Stable Foundations!
