Benjamin is the owner/operator of FTS and Hayden is his apprentice. I can’t recommend their services enough. After the intense summer storms that knocked out power for us, we hired FTS to install a home standby generator. I also needed an extra outlet installed in a guest bath and that was easily done as well! The price was fair and the workmanship was excellent. Benjamin and Hayden were ALWAYS courteous and professional and communicated every step along the way. They’re a great team who get 5 stars because Google doesn’t allow 6.(Also the biggest moth I’ve seen decided to inspect the work and seemed to approve.)

Benjamin is so thorough, professional, and does excellent electrical work.We had him out to fix a few things around the house. He was able to determine that one of our issues was likely attributable to Oncor and he placed the work order with them.When Oncor came out, the issue was exactly what Benjamin predicted. So, it was fixed at no cost. We could have spent thousands of dollars trying to address this issue and Benjamin saved us from all of that!We are so happy to have found Flip the Switch. We will be customers for life.

Not only was my enquiry responded to immediately, a bid was sent to which I could agree and then a date for the work scheduled. I loved that there were text reminders and follow ups that the electrician was on his way! Once here Ben and his assistant were professional, courteous and worked quickly and carefully. They were particular in consulting me so that the lights installed were exactly as I wanted them, then they had to trouble shoot as we had no bulbs and some fussy breakers, but ensured everything was working and the area left meticulously clean after. Highly recommend for any work. I really loved that Ben checked in before leaving to see if any other concerns could be addressed, we then were able to look together at a future project and plan it!

Contracted Benjamin and team to initially install a couple of Ring motion floodlights and a Ring doorbell. Was so impressed with his work that the task turned into a large-scale project of installing approximately 40 Halo LED recessed downlights, 25 dimmer switches, 50 plugs, under cabinet counter LED lighting, a couple of Z wave switches and a few other things. Great work ethic, communication skills and technical knowledge. Benjamin was always quick to tackle any task, figure out solutions and offer suggestions based on his years of experience throughout the process. I would highly recommend FTS Electric

Excellent experience with FTS. Bought a new dishwasher for my 70 year old house, but Costco couldnt install due to problems with the hardwire connection. FTS converted the connection to an outlet and added a GFCI breaker at the box (vs. at the outlet because old house, old wiring). Thats the result. What happened in between is why Im hiring them again to replace my ceiling fan and some lights. Ben did not give up when faced with the obstacles (old wiring, narrow crawl space, low slope roof, Federal box previously converted to a junction box) that come with an old house and gave us solid solutions.

A major storm damaged the power cable from the pole to the meter box, and pulled the meter box halfway out of the wall at my mother-in-laws house. It was an emergency situation that required extensive repairs and a quick response due to the age of my mother-in-law and the oppressive Texas heat. Benjamin from Flip the Switch came early the next morning and assessed the situation. He and his assistant were both very professional and informative about what would be required. They provided a turn key quote early that afternoon after contacting the city to find out what upgrades would be required to meet current building code. The quote was very reasonable and was thousands of dollars less than the quote from one of the big electrical contractors in our area. The work was scheduled to begin within 3 days, which was fast considering the work loads of all electricians in the area following the storm. They showed up promptly on the agreed day, and completed all permitting, repairs, and inspections by early afternoon. At that point they contacted the power provider to reconnect to the meter. I couldnt be happier with the service and professionalism we experienced with Benjamin at Flip the Switch. If you want excellent work, at a reasonable price, from an honest electrical contractor, you should definitely contact Benjamin at Flip the Switch.

Benjamin from FTS was exceptional from the moment I reached out until after the service! I called several electricians for this job and FTS was by far the most responsive, accommodating, knowledgeable and eager. The problem I called him for had already been seen by two other professionals – one of them being an electrician who came out twice and then told me to call a different type of professional. Benjamin fixed the issue I called about and upgraded and answered questions about other parts of the system. It has been several months and problem is completely resolved (versus temporary like before)! Next time I have an electrical issue Benjamin and FTS will be the first and then, ultimately, only call I need to make! Highly, highly recommend!

Benjamin installed recessed lighting and dimmer switches in our home. He was very professional and did a great job. When we started having issues with the lights flickering in multiple rooms. He was very responsive and returned to address the problem. We could not find the source of the problem on that visit. Since it was in multiple rooms he suggested that I call Encore to check the feeds to the main breaker panel. Encore came out and did fine bad connection coming into the house. The problem seemed to be fixed but, a few days later it started again. I called Benjamin and he returned to trouble shoot again. He found that on of the dimmer switches was bad. He replaced it and problem was resolved. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing any electrical work done in your home.

We were in the middle of a kitchen remodel and had a negative experience with our previous electrician. We decided to pivot and find a new service provider and we could not have been more pleased with FTS. Of all the subcontractors we’ve had in our home, Benjamin was by far the most professional, honest, and helpful. We were blown away by his respectfulness, integrity, quality of work, and the care he took in our home. He is a consummate professional! We’d pay top dollar for this kind of service, but he beat the competition with a competitive quote! When he came to look at the scope of the project, he saved us a couple hundred dollars by telling us about a solution that no one else had. And when we asked him about doing appliance installation, he was honest enough to say he appreciated the offer for the job but needed to stick to his specialty (and that in TX appliance installation requires certification). Just an example of his character. Upon completion of the work, he exceeded our expectations in every way! We will never call another electrician! Hire FTS now!!

The wiring in my kitchen was installed incorrectly by the builder. None of the switches or plugs workered properly. FTS was able to come out and rewire the kitchen and everything now works and turns off and on like it should!! We reached out to Benjamin to get an estimate for electrical work. Benjamin came out and after we talked through our wish list Benjamin took time to throughly inspect our current electrical system in order to provide us with an accurate quote. Benjamin replaced and updated all of our switches and outlets, installed; google nest cameras, flood lights, and recessed lighting. Everything turned out great and we couldn’t be happier.During our project Benjamin accidentally put a hole in our ceiling with a foot. He told me immediately and found someone to repair the ceiling. One thing that stood out was that he actually came and stayed while the painters patched the ceiling and painted.We had a great experience and we plan on using Benjamin again very soon. Hands down the best electrician we have ever hired.
