Todd was amazing, took his time and explained everything - never made me feel like I had to buy anything extra, just wanted me to be informed. Excellent experience!!! Highly recommend! (PS - just moved in to a house and hired electricians to do some work, the estimate included a chandelier but the work order did not, and I really wanted it done so I searched how to get this done right now and the next day, and Todd showed up the next day!)

The guy that came was nice but clearly wanted to work quick to be done. I have to pay another electrician 1k to fix his work. He was meant to install electric to my attic and add two outlets and a light. The main wire he used to add it was drilled thru my attic wall, and left uncaulked and attached to my floor instead of the wall. The wire was attached to my breaker and he left a giant hole also uncaulked thats located DIRECTLY ABOVE MY BREAKER BOX. Rain anf snow could have gotten in and easily caused damage or a fire. The two outlets he was meant to do he left uneven with the wall. One is pushed too far in and the other is about two inches too far out. He didnt drill the holes thru the rafters, instead he left the wires dangling down. The same with the main outside wire. Its just having from my attic window. So in short....he left two rather large uncaulked holes in my walls, left two live wires just dangling down unattached to any wall. Outside and inside. Another wire was left stapled to my floor(making me unable to put flooring down) left two outlets not flush with the wall, and tore up my floor. Although the electrician was nice, I feel I was taken advantage of. I just happened to not find their information to call them to reschedule for it to be fixed so I called another company, who pointed all this out to me. I noticed it before but didnt pay any mind to it. Until he made it clear just how dangerous all these mistakes are. Ive attached pictures of the wiring he installed. I would definitely make sure you have someone knowledgeable around when they send someone. I feel if I knew a bit more about it, I would have had this looked at sooner. Contacted company and waiting for reply. Will edit review once I hear back.Edit to add. I changed my review from 1 to 4. They did respond quicker than expected and the woman who I spoke to was more than happy to rectify the situation. I was refunded the amount I paid the new electrician to fix the work. The man who did the work through Thomas Edison is no longer with the company so I think this situation was unfortunate however was not the fault of the company.

I called Thomas Edison for an electrical issue and also requested some outlets be replaced. All of the ladies I spoke with regarding scheduling were very kind, friendly, and helpful. I was surprised that they were able to send an electrician out that same day to take care of my issues. Cameron arrived promptly within the one hour time window I was provided. He was extremely courteous and had an absolutely infectious personality! He explained everything thoroughly and worked efficiently and quickly. Within an hour, all of my power was restored and the job was complete. Once Cameron left, I received a follow up phone call from the office to ensure that I was satisfied with my experience. I cant say enough good things about this company! Their customer service is above the bar and is so appreciated. If youre looking for a great electrical contractor, look no further!

Our electrical panel fried and we had no power. Jake from Thomas Edison electric came out the same day we called. He was friendly courteous professional and very informative. We needed our whole panel box replaced and upgraded to code. I would highly recommend this company. They made a frustrating issue more calm and relaxed for us from start to finish. I cant thank Jake and this company enough for everything they did.

Tech was on time and responded to my problem. He gave me recommendations on how to improve my system. It was my fault that I did not know I had an extra GFI in my kitchen that cause the problem. He examined my distribution box and told me everything was OK. He did not rush me and try to sell me something I did not need. A Plus, in todays environment.Great job and highly recommended.

We received excellent service from the first telephone call to schedule our electrical problem.Steve was very helpful to schedule the technician to come out for service. Dimetry arrived at the time Steve indicated he would be there and once we agreed to the service he was able to trouble shoot the problem and resolve the issue in less than 30 minutes.He update the wiring to the current code and capped off the lines to my satisfaction. He was very cordial and efficient. He clearly explained the problem area and was he was planning to do to resolve the problem. I was very satisfied with my experience with Thomas Edison Electric and will continue to use them in the future due to their fairness and reliability. Thank you again!

We recently moved into a new house and requested estimates for some minor work that we wanted completed. I called on Friday 10/16 and was excited to hear that someone could come out the same day. Received a call a little later from one of their reps that explained it would be considered an emergency and $295 dispatch fee. She asked if we could wait until the following week and we could since it’s not an emergency and then it would be a standard $95 dispatch fee. The morning of the appointment I got a call from Steve letting me know when the electrician would be there. Dimitri was nice and took the time to look over the work I requested and gave me pricing. The pricing was more than what I had anticipated so I declined all work. Steve diligently worked with me to try to get the pricing right but we couldn’t make it work however as a courtesy he waived the dispatch fee which is great customer service. While we didn’t use their services Thomas Edison electric has great customer service and professional electricians.

They were a great team, working diligently and expertly to complete the required work. They were courteous and patient to answer any questions I had. As all things are this was an emergency on a Thursday evening. Local contractors could only commit to a Monday appointment. Having just taken care of a water crisis of 10 days (well) problem this did not make me nor my wife happy. Called Ben Franklin and Steve was able to guarantee a service call the next day. The technician, Patrick was delayed by a tire blowout on his way and I immediately got a phone call with the new arrival time. When Patrick arrived he was great about bout communicating information I needed to make decisions, but soon had us back on line.

Great service and expert work. Had them out to check out a potential breaker issue, which after some investigation on their part turned out to be an electric company service line issue. Before leaving they walked me through the correct terminology to use when describing the issue to PECO. Overall really great experience and I would not hesitate to call again for any future issues.
