I appreciated the status updates, and the technician did come out that day. Lily was great; she was quick, efficient, and pointed out things to monitor that the other plumbing company, that installed the unit, failed to mention. Grab a cup of coffee and take a seat, I’ve got a lot to say and praise…BlueBear has completely come through to save the day with what was otherwise to become my worse household nightmare… figuring out how I was going to completely replace our HVAC system and upgrade our electrical panel. Oh, and pipe a new gas line into and underneath the house. Oh, and fuel an old generator with that same gas line while we were at it.Having previously met with six (6) different contractors to get bids, and having to wait endlessly for additional calls, unclear quotes, endless follow-ups, more walk-throughs, incomplete bids, scheduling issues, and on and on… I did what I should have done initially (and thereby save months worth of my time!). I called BlueBear.Jake was the first person I met with. To call him fantastic would be an understatement. He was prompt. Clear. Knowledgeable. A perfect representation of the type of person you would you want a company to send out to look at a job. By the time our initial visit was over, I knew what I wanted and booked the job immediately. It was a huge relief to know the job was soon underway. Thank you Jake!I was told a preliminary site walk-through would occur the very next day and that work would commence the following day. This is exactly what happened. No kidding. Not weeks, not “maybe the week after,” not “I’ll have to get back to you after I check our schedule.” Nope. BlueBear’s schedule for all the work that was needed was perfectly clear and beautifully accurate.Bill, an exceptionally attentive HVAC master, performed the walk-through and answered any additional questions I had. It quickly became clear I had made the right decision hiring BlueBear. You know that feeling as a homeowner where you start to feel that panic begin to rise out of the depths of your soul because you’re so frustrated and can’t seem to get the help and expertise you need?! Welp! It was gone. That feeling had dissolved and I was calm. I had found the plumbing and electrical experts I had so desperately been seeking.Cam and Bill were in charge of all the HVAC work. Removal of an old oil tank, removal of an ancient furnace, removal of an ancient A/C unit, re-insulating and securing the existing ducts, removal of an old (and installation of a new) water heater… and the fabulous installation of a new dual-fuel heat pump in the basement and mini-split to an additional room.The electrician (whose name I forgot to write down but in every way was just as awesome as the others, I swear) performed all the electrical work to the house and upgraded our panel. He even made some extra adjustments to what the generator would power in an outage, at my request. Knowledgeable. Clear. Courteous. Efficient. A pro.Bert and Frank installed the gas line (routing it everywhere it needed to go) with precision. Frank and Max returned to confirm everything was perfect in accordance with the permit and town inspection. Frank was one of those people you immediately like. Calm. Patient. Knowledgeable (again!) Polite (all of them! So courteous!). Willing to answer an unrelated household question and offer his opinion, just for sake of being helpful.Jack helped coordinate and oversee the final turning on of the gas to ensure everything was up and running and I am writing this review today, one very pleased homeowner.As 2025 approaches, I ask myself, “What have I learned this last year?” I’ve learned one big important lesson: Call Bluebear.It’s quite simple. If I ever need electrical, plumbing, or HVAC work I will make one phone call. To BlueBear. By doing this I will add months to my life by NOT hassling with every other contractor out there. My time is valuable and so is yours!Cheers.

The technician Matt arrived on time, was friendly, and gave great explanations of the work he was doing for my a/c maintenance. He ordered a part that was needed and set the fan to blow what was hot air throughout the upper floors of my already cool house. That was the only downside. It was easily remedied at night time by opening the windows. Overall, hes a great tech and I highly recommend the yearly service plan.On another call, David M installed a drain hose from a washing machine in a tight space for both the hose and for him. He then leveled the machine, an added bonus. Another great job by Blue Bear.

The technician who came to evaluate our needs--Josh--was blunt, honest, and very knowledgeable. I learned a lot from him and felt he was giving objective information. I ended up not going with Blue Bear because of the equipment they install: York, which he said the company had switched to 2 years earlier and had good results. And he noted that the system we were replacing was not good equipment. When I consulted Consumers Reports and its review of 23 different air conditioning systems, my failed system, Luxaire, ranked #22 for reliability and customer satisfaction. The only system that ranked worse on both scales was York. That was the determining factor for me to go with another company.

I’ve been using Blue Bear for a long time. My water heater and heating system were installed by them and I’ve only ever had good experiences.This was no exception! The previous job had gone on longer than planned, but I was given updates from the office, and he was still able to come and install my gas dryer and dishwasher. Dishwasher wouldn’t turn on so a return was necessary and he uninstalled it for me so it could be removed by Lowe’s right away when they came with the new one. Even threw out all the packaging for me.Would definitely recommend.
