Steve’s plumbing was able to provide next day service for a dripping shower downspout, and even provided a free estimate. I contacted other plumbers but they could not come out for a few days. Alex came out to my house to do the evaluation. He was polite, friendly, and professional. Alex provided me a quote to replace my Delta shower faucet. The price was a little too high. I got quotes from other plumbers ranging from $199 to $285 to replace the cartridge, Steve’s Plumbing wanted over $850, just to replace the cartridge. I had to wait another day before my next plumber came out, so I decided to YouTube the issue. I found video’s online, step by step to change the cartridge. I went to Home Depot and got the Delta replacement cartridge for $58. I was able to change out the cartridge in less than 10 minutes. They also show you how to rebuild the cartridge for less than $5. What goes bad on the cartridges are the springs and rubber gaskets, which only cost about $3, so next time this happens I will just replace those items. Also, I found the cartridges online at Amazon for less than $20, if you don’t want to rebuild yours. I didn’t want to wait for shipping to Hawaii so just got the part locally. Again, 5 STAR rating is for Alex’s services, not for Steve’s Plumbing Pricing!!! If you need emergency services, which I didn’t, you may want to consider them, but I would call around first!!!

Thank you Zion for coming out on New Year’s Eve to replace the faucets in my laundry area. You did an exceptional job and in a very timely manner. Zion listened to what the problem was and gave me great options to fix my problem. He clearly and throughly explained the process and showed me how to hook the washing machine hoses to the valves and even explained to me the worn out pipes. Job well done.

Cory arrived on time and did a fine job. Replaced our kitchen faucet with a Delta Touch model we like. He pointed out an out of code situation between our garbage disposal and dishwasher so we agreed to spend extra to make it right. He worked through some challenges but figured it all out and resolved. Steves Plumbing pricing is high but if your goal is great online appt setups, robust followup by their office, on time and expert service with fully loaded vans with the parts needed for many things, you probably get what you pay for!

Called Steves Plumbing for a major emergency job at our facility. I tried calling several 24/7 emergency plumbing companies, Steves plumbing answered the call. They shipped 2 commercial water heaters from Oahu to Kauai via air cargo. Hoku installed the units in a day and he did an excellent job. Pure workmanship and pride in his work. I highly recommend Steves plumbing to do work for your business or home. We averted a major conflict and possible complaints from our guest. Thank you so much to all the staff that worked so hard to get us up and running in less that 24 hrs.

Jeremy Roulette did an awesome job today with his teammate, Robert Beverly.He was able to provide an insight about the options and suggestions on how we should go about our service. When we heard that we would need to replace our water heater due to age and how long it has been it was a surprise, but given that the amount it would take to diagnosis, add-on, and bring to code it would be almost better to replace with a new unit. During the time of installation, both Jeremy and Robert did an exceptional job in being observant of our window, which it would still be able to open due to the confined space of wash room. In the end, everything got done in a timely manner and works well.Overall, Jeremy and Robert did you have an awesome job and answered our questions and concerns that my family and I asked. The whole experience was great from my first call, and all communication throughout the whole process. Our tech, Braxton was great! He diagnosed our AC problem quickly and efficiently. They luckily had the replacement in stock. He picked it up and came back at a more convenient time to fix the issue. It was good as new! He was professional, knowledgeable, kind and flexible! Couldn’t have asked for more!

I have used Steves plumbing for AC maintenance and now most recently for a manabloc replacement and hot water heater service. Steves is timely, professional, and responsive. They are up front with their pricing. I gave 3.5 stars because I do think they are more expensive than most other plumbers on island. For example, the manabloc replacement with water heater service cost nearly 8k. I cant imagine paying anything close to this in the states unless they were replumbing an entire house. I asked for a breakdown of pricing and they just stated that was their standard rate. I asked around and other plumbers felt the cost was a little expensive. My options were limited because I wanted the work done before my manabloc leaked more water into my wall. I do recommend Steves, but Id recommend comparing quotes for the more expensive jobs. Maybe I should of went into plumbing...

Our service technician Santiago was great. We had an issue with a corroded kitchen sink pipe and a clog in our bathroom sink. He explained the problems well and took care of both efficiently. He got our ac back up and running in no time and even had time to talk story with us about our ac unit and all the work he had to do. My split A/C crapped the bed and needed servicing. The first person to look at it was Frank Molina. He looked it over and patiently explained everything over with me. Very professional laid back social kind of guy. Exceptional technician and salesman. What a blessing it was having Alex over to fix my water heater. My water heater expansion tank exploded a hole through my ceiling with water rushing out. From when I called the customer service reps were so compassionate and helpful and so patient as I was overwhelmed having never gone through this. Alex arrived earlier than expected calm and confident which was very comforting that rescue had came. He was very knowledgeable in what he was doing exposing every detail while going through the process and educated me on the components, what their purpose is, and what I can do to ensure proper maintain of them. He don’t rush through the work although it was done quicker than I thought, and he ran through each step more than once to ensure everything in working and proper order, excellence nothing overlooked or missed. I instantly felt like family with this company. They take great care of their people. We had a great experience with Steves Plumbing today. Our a/c splits stopped working unexpectedly. They sent someone the same day we called and by the end of the day they were working again. We appreciate how speedy the service was. The technician diagnosed the problem quickly and got right to work. After he was finished everything was clean and put back the way it had been in the rooms. It was like the problem had never even happened. Well definitely use them again for our routine maintenance!

We are moving out of our house and had to get the AC units serviced.While cleaning one of our units, the tech broke a part (honest mistake). It was back ordered almost 200 days so the company replaced the entire unit at no charge to us and it was a newer model.What could have been a huge headache for us ended up being no problem at all due to the techs honesty and the company owning up to the mistake. The whole team both virtually and in person were awesome from the first call to the final invoice. A very professional and courteous crew. The work was done on the same day and I am completely 100% satisfied. I had went through many other routes to find a plumber unsuccessfully over many weeks, I should have just went here first. It was not cheap but it was worth it and I feel I got what I paid for without stress or worries. I will use them again if required. They installed the water softener, replaced the PRV and serviced my water heater including a new Anode.

When I called Steves, they picked up right away and sent someone out within the hour, thank God cause my refrigerator was leaking all over my kitchen floor. Alex Amina, sent me a text, with a little blurb about himself, which I thought really put a personal touch on the service, made me feel like he was trustworthy. He shows up singing happily and eager to help me fix my problem. He worked all day, still singing through out the whole ordeal. He went above and beyond what was expected of him. Im so grateful. Jeremy Thomason did a really good job for a same day job order. He thoroughly examine the issue and did an excellent job. We had a complain from our ground floor neighbor as we live upstairs that our condo damaged their ceiling. I had Jeremy do the whole diagnostic and the leak was not from our side. He did replace a few things that I wanted for my toilet and it was done as promised. I am happy and would recommend his expertise to any one that needs service from Steves. We needed more than snaking to clear our line that was filled with coffee grounds and grease, so next he tackled the problem with hydro technology being careful not to damage our existing pipes. We are very happy with our A/C repairs! Technicians Chris and Frank were friendly, knowledgeable, and respectful and it was a Joy to have them in our home for a few hours of diagnostic and repair work. Their diagnostic equipment and skillful observations found the issues on why our unit had become so noisy. We reviewed costs and options. Chris and Franks repairs and service notes on file at the office will help track down future potential issues in our aging system. For now, they saved us thousands of dollars in a full system replacement by seeing if a coolant recharge and dye to seal any pinhole leaks is enough. We are grateful for them! The front office scheduling staff was polite and booked us as soon as possible for our outdoor unit evaluation of our Mitsubishi split air heat pump system and gave an updated timeline the day of the diagnostic appointment. Our home is cooler and has lower humidity immediately!

Very professional and responsive. After a quick phone call explaining the non-urgent issue they scheduled Josh to come around the next day to evaluate the leak. He correctly determined the issue, provided several options and quotes. When he came the next day he installed the new toilet and fixed the leak caused by the previous owners remodel promptly, and explained the issues causing it along with photos documenting the problem. He also helped fix another issue with the dishwasher while he was there and provided a quote for replacing the old plumbing and garbage disposal, if desired. I highly recommend and will always call Steves Plumbing first to help with any plumbing issues I have. Five stars for responsiveness, service, clear quotes for service and equipment costs beforehand, professional workmanship and friendliness of every member of staff I spoke to and worked with. So I called Steve’s Plumbing to get a real expert to address the problem. Kai came and worked with Levi to diagnose the issues. I got a quote and Kai returned the next day with all the supplies. It was expensive, but necessary.Kai fixed the issues and saved me $1000k plus off the quote by saying a couple of things they had planned to replace were not broken. I was pretty happy about that!After leaving there was a leak. I called that night as I had no hot water. Kai came back the next morning had to replace a defective part and cleaned up. Found another issue in my guest bathroom and fixed that in a couple of minutes. Kai was great - he explained how everything worked and was very professional.Highly recommend.

AC service. 1st off communication was great! These days that says alot because in my experience a lot of businesses dont even answer thier phones. I Was able to get an appointment quickly, they answered phones right away and set an appointment then called me day of appointment to re confirm and immediately sent out a technician who was there in less than 30 mins. Frank helped me figure out what was wrong and we were up and running in less than an hour, i already knew what the issue was and had the parts but i wasnt getting power to the unit and Frank helped me with 3 things i had wrong had i not had his help and did get the power back to it i may had done more damage and needed another motor or entire unit. Frank was very nice and only charged the 90 bucks for a service call and nothing for helping me sort out the wiring and power issue, the motor also needed to be set the other direction to blow out which was very simple but I wouldn’t had noticed that it needed to be blowing out rather than down. Overall id say this is a great company, idk if all techs would had been as nice but i do inow they answered phones and set appointments quickly no need to keep calling and then waiting days/weeks for service! If you have AC issues call these guys and better yet ask for Frank if thats possible!

After a neighborhood fire hydrant was hit the neighborhood lost water and when it came back on, one of our pipe valves blew and we had a massive leak. Call for water heater replacement. Alex AMINA came on the first day and explained about water deposits that can damage your water lines in the house. He offered to install the Flow-Tech devices after he showed me the video. He installed the Flow-Tech. Alexs son Zion PARO-AMINA came the following day to install a new water heater and new plumbing. Zion discovered my outside water valve was rusted stuck. He offered to do the repairs, which he completes day 3. Zion ad Alex were very experienced in the craft. They always explained the job and updates often. Very professional!!! I would recommend their excellent service!

Ryan y. Came to our Hawaiian language immersion preschool to fix an air conditioning unit that Steve’s Plumbing and AC service helped donate to our classroom a few years ago. We weren’t even able to turn the AC on as it was dripping heavily into our classroom. Ryan diagnosed the problem quickly and after signing consent documents began immediately to deep clean and service both of our air conditioners. He worked quickly and efficiently, was very professional and clear about the issue and the quote we received. Working with him was a pleasure! He definitely changed my mind about the company, they messed up on our first appointment which caused some irritation dissapointment with a no show. This was my first experience with Steve’s Plumbing. Our First Plumber Technician displayed professional courtesy, respect and knowledge of his profession. He explained his findings of our plumbing issues and concerns and the procedures to repair/resolve the problem. Plumber kept his office in the loop of what is needed and sent pictures back to the office of the problem and upon our agreement took all necessary actions and coordination to set up our next appointment to do repairs. The problem we had was the diverter of the plumbing fixtures failed and needed to be replaced. We live in an apartment and know we need to be considerate of other occupants residing in our building and insure our plumbing issue do not affect any other tenants with water leaking or any plumbing problems and felt their price was really high but we need to insure our problem to not affect other occupants and we did not have the time to check for other plumbers. We accepted their services. Upon return to do repairs, we left our trust in Steves Plumbing and it became our nightmare. Plumber # 1 Cut excessive amount of wall tiles to gain access to the pipes and valves in the wall. This required a huge cover plate to cover the hole and requiring a wall of caulking behind and around the cover plate, exposing cuts that were covered only by caulking, the tub faucet stuck out away from the wall with caulking attaching it to the wall and it leaked. A nightmare. The cost was excessive and we got a nightmare for the cost. We called in our complaint and Steves plumbing sent Plumber #2 John Henry Ongos. John H. Ongos responded and viewed the nightmare services performed by the 1st Plumber and briefed us, all that was needed to correct the problem. John did not give any excuses for the nightmare of plumbing we received from Steves Plumbing he only apologized for the poor services we received and requested to correct the nightmare and give us the Quality of work we should have gotten. John identified all that was done wrong and informed us what would need to be done to correct the nightmare. We would need to reschedule a water shutoff and schedule with him to return and correct the nightmare, which we did. The earliest we could get the water shutoff would be on Johns off day. John came to correct the nightmare on his day off and did an exceptional job. The 1st Plumber was let go from Steves Plumbing and was told he had made too many errors. If that was known why did they send him alone to service a plumbing repair which was a disaster. Our time is just as important to customers and it is to Steves Plumbing.Thank you John for your Ethics,Professionalism, Respectful Attitude, Real Quality Knowledge, Priority is the Customer and Quality Service. John You are Exceptional. John did an exceptional repair on our shower/bathtub leaking problem. He was rated by Steves Appliance 4.5/5. He also gave helpful tips as to what not to put into the tank, so it wouldnt damage parts in the tank. As someone who is relatively new to the island, I don’t know of any plumbing service that I trust. Plumbing is one of those things that you really need an experience person and not just some handyman and plumbing once a year. All things considered I was really worried When selecting one, but I saw the reviews and I figured I’d give it a try. The technician showed up same day as my request. (no extra charge for that) Immediately started looking at things and walked around, trying to figure out the piping situation with me for about 30 minutes, maybe longer, and gave me a quote at no charge. The technician was very knowledgeable and took us in pride and what he does which is very hard to find these days. He walked me through everything so that way I could learn somewhat about this situation. Never tried to hide anything. Or sell extra stuff Also, it’s worth noting that they document just about everything as someone who just bought this house a few months ago they were able to tell me that the plumber had come out here a few times in the years before they were able to tell me why they were able to show me a drain footage From a year ago before I bought the place. (which they seller did not disclose). I wish I would’ve just given them a call before we close on the house probably could’ve saved significant amount of money by talking down the seller.They also sent me the video to my phone and no extra charge so I have the ability to see my pipes from a year ago, and just today from there visit.Cannot recommend them enough.

Brudda Sunny was so funny and so good fun! lol He had the Aloha spirit like we all had back in the days. Jonah was so very polite, both men were very respectful and cared about helping me. Btw my family and I tried to fix it ourselves before calling a plumber, but we made it 100 times worse. It was a simple job which turned into a major job after we tried to DIY but we’ve done great per other DIY projects; however, take it from me call a plumber don’t do it yourself when it comes to plumbing.It would have cost us a lot of money but Sunny tried everything first per cost effective and found a solution, charging us a fraction of what we almost had to spend on repairs that we created for ourselves.I actually didnt know about Steve’s plumbing before I called another company. The plumber from another company (not from Steve’s plumbing) was rude and wanted to charge me more than I knew the job should’ve cost us. The other company wouldn’t return my calls asking them to break down the estimate they originally gave me. So, I cancelled the 2nd appointment and searched via Google for another plumbing company, instead.I am so so happy and thankful that I found Steve’s Pluming. Sunny and Jonah were the most knowledgeable and professional plumbers. Very fast, neat and cleaned up the entire area after they were done. It was the Aloha spirit that they showed me and my family that I was most grateful for.I’m not saying all jobs can be downsized to a less expensive job for every customer but I know the plumbers at Steve’s plumbing will at least try to find a way to help families. My price had a big change from leaking the detection to when the actual job started.•Could have more detail on the price changes and discounts.• the plumber from the initial water detection and the actual job was a different plumber. It loses the continuity of the job and confuses when the new plumber says different numbers.

Jared and Kalani came out for our annual inspection today. The visit was very professional and they found where some of our worst problems are coming from. They were excellent at explaining all options. Levi, the project manager, then discussed the options again with me and offered a current promotion. In the meantime I did a quick search to verify costs across the country, and the fee was in line with statistics for other states. Additionally they were on time and will probably complete the project today.
