    Rick is super reliable, professional, and we loved his (and his assistants) work! We asked them to work on an outside light and a bathroom light (find the problems and fix them), and installing a new outlet in our bathroom.     These guys were great. Sometimes people can be hesitant to hire a small shop. But in this case, its the best possible service you can expect.     November 2023 Review - I used EFH three years ago when I moved to my new home. They fixed some bad wiring left by the previous owner that caused a circuit breaker to trip whenever I lit my gas range using the built-in electric starter. So, when I decided to get an electric car and needed a 240v outlet installed in my garage, I contacted them again. Rick Jr came out and we identified the best location for the charger and how my existing breaker panel would need some modification to accommodate the new outlet. The quote I received was in line with my expectations (I had collected a few price point comparisons from friends who had done the same work) and arranged to proceed with the installation. The next week, they came back and had the new outlet installed quickly and professionally (they had to run a conduit along the outside garage wall but, they kept it inconspicuous) and they left the work site clean. Im happy with the work they did and will continue to use them for my electric needs.December 2024 Update - I had EFH back to my house to install an another outlet in my garage - this time for a spare fridge. Rick and Team were great AGAIN. First they came out to inspect the desired outlet location and to assess the capacity of my breaker panel. They offered a solution I had not considered so, that was helpful. The price they quoted seemed fair and fit me into their schedule quickly. Im happy to have had EFH back and will continue to use them. Thanks!

    We called Electrician For Hire asking for a quote and estimate to install two hanging lamps over a kitchen island. They were prompt, provided the estimate and handled scheduling appointments via email. Once we received delivery of the lamps we called back to schedule the installation. Everything was very upfront and communicated well from the office. Upon the arrival of the electricians, Roy and Ricky, they went to work immediately and confidently. Upon being asked specific questions regarding our expectations and desires for the installation they proceeded with their work. They performed as a team; very professional and efficient in handling what appeared to be a very complicated install. Two and half hours later they presented a finished product that was everything we had asked for. No mess, no hidden expenses that had not been quoted.     I have recommended Electrician 4 Hire for years. And have personally used them as well. This job they installed a new service panel for the whole house. Being a house built in 1959, there were a lot of weird add-ons electrically, but the team took the time to figure it out and muddle through what was not the easiest job. Rick, Roy, and Ricky were all great. Polite, professional, clean, timely. I always refer them when asked about electricians. However, I would have appreciated if they had checked in advance about the capacity of the installed transformer and the lights it needed to power. As a result, I had to change all the light bulbs.     Electrician for Hire was awesome to work with, the interaction was seamless. DHS has some particular hoops you have to jump thru in order to upgrade a panel. We had gotten 3 quotes and they were the only company that mentioned that we’d need a permit from the city and several inspections. They helped coordinate the inspections and installed the panel beautifully. They even thought to ask if we’d like it solar compatible, we did and hadn’t remembered to bring it up!We’ll definitely be working with them again for all of our electric needs.

    Rick showed up promptly to take a look at my Tesla EV charger that had been giving me issues. He went through everything very methodically checking to see what could be causing the problem as it was difficult to know if it was the wiring or the EV charging equipment itself. He found a few problems from the original installation which was done by another electrician. I asked him to send me a quote to rectify those issues along with installing a dedicated EV charger. While I havent made a final decision, there is no doubt in my mind that I would call Electrician For Hire again when having any type of an electrical problem.
