    We have been clients with GenerX since 2018, and have found the technicians at our annual servicing to be knowledgable and kind. At our most recent servicing, Brandon took the time to explain exactly how the valve job worked, and was very kind and patient with all of our questions. Our unit ran great during Milton, not missing a beat during the 5-day outage, and we are very happy with our Generac generator.Lately, however, weve struggled with the new GenerX contact system, which has been an inefficient nightmare, even leading us to consider switching companies. We complained, and Pierce in the office saved the day! Rather than dismiss our concerns, Pierce took the time to call and explain the major influx of calls that they received after back-to-back hurricanes, and offered a great solution for us moving forward. He also competently answered some questions that we had about our unit and servicing. Very helpful and kind. Not only did Pierce save a lot of future business for GenerX, but has also garnered a lot of good will for his employer. So, please be patient with the system if its still not up to par when youre reading this, because this company makes up for it with their customer service. In fact, based on our experience with great GenerX technicians like Brandon in the field and with Pierce in the office, we can say that we recommend this company highly.

    I purchased a very large generator from them in 2019 and, though we’ve never needed it until Hurricane Milton, I’ve been impressed with how responsive they have been over the years with any issues or questions I’ve had but they knocked it out of the park yesterday. During the storm we had a strange issue occur with our electricity. I called GenerX and left a voicemail about it expecting not to get a callback for days due to the chaos the storm caused for everyone but a few hours after my voicemail they called back. Lenny walked me through fixing the issue myself and within a few minutes everything was fine. He himself had his roof and pool cage damaged but spent the whole day answering calls and emails helping others get their electricity back on - “just doing my job” he said. I’m so glad I have this generator and thankful for their help!

    Pretty upset with the whole gig. Approximately an hour or so into the storm (Milton) our Generac in Naples sputtered out. Our generator was just installed a year ago, and recently had the one year service. Upon reporting the issue, I was required to pay the $360 emergency fee to get on the schedule for service. Several days later, a tech was dispatched and completed my emergency repairs which he apologetically described as flipping the switch to LP fuel source--something that should have been done at installation and at least observed at the time of the one-year tune up.My calls to GenerX to query the charges have not been returned.After paying all the installation costs and not receiving the back-up power I paid for and then getting ghosted for call back, Im obviously infuriated by this incompetence for which I am required to pay to correct (in addition to the fridge full of spoiled food).Addendum: Received a call back from Gunnar with GenerX this morning (11/5/24), who was apologetic and contrite. He corrected the billing issue and we parted amicably. Im still stinging from the original issue, but I revised my rating in consideration of the personal follow-up.

    Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! Had an issue with our 22kw generator. Spoke with Rudy with Generx and he was able to help me correct the issue over the phone. He saved me nearly $400 for just the simplest thing. God bless you Rudy!!!!!! All my babies in the house thank you!!!

    This is for a young technician called Rudy. Rudy came to repair my transfer panel which was not repaired for over one month. After 1 month of very frustrating attempts to call, email, and unanswered voice mails Rudy was sent to repair, he could not because no one told him the part that was bad. He said I promise I will be back tomorrow, no matter what, and will fix this. He did, in a soaking rain. What an outstanding employee motivated to serve his customer to the best of his ability. Hope if you need repair Rudy is your technician.

    Bad to goodHaving a problem with my A/C and the technician sees the Generac transfer box light is out. This indicates there is a problem with the board in the box and power to the A/C is impacted. I called GenerX shortly after 8 this morning. Explained my problem to the lady on the phone, she agreed it was probably a bad board and it needs to be replaced. Unfortunately no technician was available until later next week. I could pay an emergency fee ($300+) and they would dispatch a technician today. I agreed to pay the fee as no A/C in August in Florida is not good. When the GenerX technician arrived and opened the transfer box he seemed surprise. The board in the box had just been replaced by GenerX 10 months ago and the light on the board was working. Problem was the board had slid down in the box so the light was not visible from outside. Bottom line is the install 10 months ago was completed with shoddy workmanship. The board was loose in the box and multiple wires were not tightened properly. Later in the day I called the GenerX maintenance number and explained to the girl on the phone what had happened and that I was not happy and felt I should not have to pay the $666. She said there was a 2 year warranty on the board and my bill needed to be adjusted. I said it needed to be adjusted to zero. She said she would need to talk to her boss and he would get back to me.Literally in Less than 2 minutes her boss Lenny called and ask what had happened. I relayed the story to him, he assured me this was something that needed to be correct but wanted To talk to the technician first. Very shortly later he called back and told me there would be no charges for today’s work! He explained how important it was to GenerX to be respected by their customers and treat people fairly.Lenny quickly changed a bad situation into a good one!Thanks Lenny!!

    In August of 2021 I purchased a 24kw Generac whole house generator from GenerX. They have been most excellent to deal with from the initial consultation, permitting, and installation. Today, Rick and Paul came out and did my first annual service, great timing since my generator powered the house for 55 hours during and after Hurricane Ian. It performs flawlessly and automatically comes on within 10 seconds of power interruption. Love the product and the professional, timely, and friendly service provided by GenerX. If you’ve been thinking about investing in a whole house generator, GenerX is your best bet and there’s no better time than Now. The peace of mind and people who stand behind their product and workmanship is priceless!

    I purchased a Generac Guardian Series 22KW generator in July, 2020. I purchased from Generx because they had the ability to do all aspects of the project including plumbing of the gas lines and wiring of the auto transfer switch. The process was very organized and done in a timely manner and the system had operated without incident.Following Hurricane Milton, my generator would not angage following the loss of power. I was frustrated but understood the deluge of calls that they were experiencing due to the widespread loss of power. I did call the after hours emergency line and within 24 hours received a call for an appointment the following day. Our tech, Tyson was very methodical and thorough and diagnosed the issue and quickly replaced the faulty part which was under warranty. Very pleased with the exceptional service that Dave, who generates the service order and Tyson provided!

    June 25; 2024 - complete home generator installed May 14, 2024 - generator not yet workable- runs for a few seconds then shuts down. Was happy with the folks involved with the install but they cannot seem to make the system operate. Very difficult to communicate with.Promises to show up for repairs not kept. This is very unsettling.Will update this post when issue is resolved.Also, recommend you pay final installment with credit card to have a chance to cancel payment - need to get their attention.Florida seniors do have state mandated protections but really do not want the aggravation of starting that process.Will update status.July 24, 2024 unit is now fully operational. Quite a few techs on site during the past month- finally solved the problem with the replacement of the second stage regulator. Not sure why this was not one the initial steps.Two months without a fully paid, functioning generator. Would hope they would extend the warranty by two months.Communications improved after this review was posted. People were good - customer communication issues keep me from giving five stars.

    Original scheduled for the 20th, Steve contacted me to say he was on his way. If this did not work they could reschedule. I said it was ok as I was available. I explained to Steve how this system was setup by original homeowner. Showed him a wire that appeared to have excessive heat damage. He agreed, this is where I get frustrated he did not have components to make repairs plus electrician would have do this. So why can’t the person that shows up to trouble shoot/diagnose do the repairs?? Rather than charge me a second service call along with additional labor and materials! Now Steve was on time, polite and did offer suggestions along with checking the output and frequency of the unit.

    With my generator shutting down due to an error code, I contacted Generac because my wife is ill and I was concerned about not having power during this approaching tropical storm. Within 15 minutes, I received a phone call back from Gunnar Gregorcic, the Service Manager there at Generac. He said he had a technician named Nick coming to my house to repair the problem. Nick was coming with the necessary parts to do so. Nick called after a short time and arrived at my house within 30 minutes. He was able to replace the faulty switches and clear the error codes. I am so grateful to Gunnar and Nick for getting us prepared for this storm in time. They were very compassionate and kind. I would recommend them and their company to everyone.

    I am so happy with my GenerX purchase. The install process was managed very well. When I had questions, I could always reach someone by phone or email and would get a quick answer. The countys inspections were flawless. All incidental items (like sprinkler damage, siding trim around the new transfer switch) were all resolved promptly and professionally. My generator starts in 18 seconds and it powers my entire house!!! I shopped for a few quotes before picking GenerX. One quote was approximately 3x GenerXs for a generator that was completely oversized, and that was another Generac brand generator dealer. I cant figure out why the other company recommended such an oversized generator. This one has some intelligent switches that will turn off high-power items (AC units, oven, pool heater) if needed. This one powers my whole home and A/C at the same time, and is clearly the right size for the job. I have zero regrets and am very happy I picked GenerX.

    I had a 24Kw whole house generator installed January 11th, 2024. This was off an estimate I received back in August of 2023.The price did not change from that time and the generator was installed in less than 2 days. One day a crew came out and dug trenches, ran wires and set the generator. A couple days later, another crew came to connect the system together.The communication from the office and the crews was spectacular. Crews showed up when they said they would. They were very professional and courteous. Work site was cleaned up after each day.Albert showed me how the system worked once it was complete. Very professional and knowledgeable.Overall I am very impressed with the company and their work flow. Ryne always kept me in the loop and payment was also easy by credit card over the phone.Very happy and satisfied with my choice in generator providers and I would highly recommend them.

    I’ve been working with FixMyGen in Oldsmar since 2008 back when generators were rare to have for a home. They have serviced my generator for 16yrs with consistent follow up.Recently I had a friend that bought a generator from someone else. The other company did everything but get it working & left it that way right before our recent hurricanes.     I purchased a 22 kW whole house Generac generator from the Generx Oldsmar dealership in 2020. The installation process was flawless including Generx obtaining all of the required permits and documentation. Generator has worked beautifully since then.I also purchased their routine maintenance program to come out yearly and service/maintain the generator. I have been 100% satisfied with the professionalism, friendliness, and knowledge of the technicians that have come to my home.Recently, we had a failure of one of the parts of the Generator that connects to our electrical grid. They came out and replaced the part and answered all of my questions. And there were a lot of questions by me, ha ha. They are very knowledgeable and quite willing to impart knowledge. This makes it very easy for me to troubleshoot my generator if there is any issue.Totally satisfied with the service I have received from Generx in Oldsmar, and the technicians.     I thought i would share my recent experience with Hurricane Ian and the Generx whole house generator installed at my house. IAN knocked out power in the night when I was sleeping. The generator came on and powered out house. It made a big difference for the day that power was out. The propane tanks outside were properly tied down and did not move even in the strong winds. When power came on the generator turned off. Best of all the generator was very quiet. This is a good product, well installed. Thank you.

    I cannot say enough positive things about this company. Everything they promised they would do, they did, starting with the first appointment ending with the walk through. They are an all install generator company so I did not have to find my own electricians and gas installers nor did I have to submit my own permits or call for inspections. I had questions and they were answered quickly, accurately and I understood the process of the installation though out the whole setup.     We purchased two generators from Rob at GenerX one for our business a few years ago and one for our home recently. He is very knowledgeable, and you know you are in good hands after talking with him.We are a long time customer and couldnt be happier with the installation and service of both generators. One generator is propane with an underground tank and one natural gas. Cosmos who installed the natural gas and lines for my generator at my house is a perfectionist, and the quality of the work is stellar. It looks like the generator was part of the house when I built it.After the installation and inspection, Matt took over and educated me on the operation and care. I am happy we chose GenerX.     Just hired this company to do my mobile link monitoring and annual maintenance on my 22K Generac whole house generator. Previous company who installed it failed to perform the yearly schedule A maintenance required for this machine and its customer service and communication skills were very poor. Enter GenerX. I dealt with Emily and Madeline over the phone initially. There were curteous, responsive, and immediately got me hooked up with the Mobile Link app on my phone. They then sent Jordan out to do the schedule A maintenance. She was very pleasant, professional, and knowlegeable about the generator and did an excellent job doing the required maintenance. So glad I found this company, regret not buying and installing the generator with them initially, but cant say enough good things about them. My go to generator folks from now on.

    Through the initial visits to get a quote, discussion of generator placement and permits needed, GenerX walked me through the whole process so I could easily understand what was involved. Once the permits were in place the install was straightforward for the gas line and electric. The installers went over everything with me before hand so there were no surprises on where things were going. So one day for all the piping and then one day to hook up the services. The experience was effortless and install went smoothly. Now we have a working whole house generator in case we need it. I would definitely recommend contacting GenerX if you are considering a whole house generator.

    The entire process was so smooth and informative. Generex took care of all permits with the county- and the electricians to include natural gas hook ups. After installation (plan on a 8 hr install),they coordinated with the county for final inspections. The they walk the homeowner through the process of starting and testing their generator the 1st time. In short they made the process as hassle free as they could make it.     We bought our Genex generator when you bought our first house in Florida two years ago. The salesman was knowledgeable, and looking at how many gas appliances we had, suggested a smaller, cheaper unit (he could have sold us anything.) The installation crew was quick and efficient. When Hurricane Irma rolled in our power was out for a few seconds before the unit kicked on. It ran flawlessly for five days until power was restored. I have convinced two other neighbors to go with GenerX. Only one service call--a warning light came on. It was addressed the next day for no charge.

    These guys are AMAZING!! When hurricane Ian took out my TECO power, my 48kW Generac kicked in. so far, so good. 10 hours later, the generator shut down. Propane levels were fine, so I called Mark at Genrx. They were swamped and could not get a tech out to me anytime soon. So Mark talked me through analyzing the system from the control panel, talked me thru refilling the green antifreeze, checking and topping up the oil. Mark talked me thru restarting the unit, but it kept overheating and shutting down. Mark (the owner) had to travel to another job, so he put me in contact with Matt to keep it going- After disconnecting and reinstalling the control box, it still kept overheating. Matt then patiently talked me through cleaning the radiator. It turned out that the insulation was being shredded and clogging the radiator fins. Matt talked me thru cleaning the fins. Still overheating. Then, Matt walked me thru getting into the fan compartment (ratchet wrench and all). Then I saw more insulation shredded, and a broken radiator fanbelt. So then, Matt found a fanbelt, and I drove over the shop and bought it ($35). Matt then walked me through installing the new fanbelt, pulley tensionning and all. The generator restarted and ran smoothly for the next 25 hours until power came back on. Mark and Matt went above and beyond to get me back up and running even we couldnt get a tech out for weeks!! These guys at Genrx are amazing !! Genrx gets my highest marks !!! way more than 5 stars!! Thank you guys !!

    Excellent customer service and product!! I’m doing a whole house renovation and I was having some electrical issues where I would occasionally loose power to part of the house. Last Saturday night the whole house lost power and my new GenerX generator kicked in and powered the house thru the night. Sunday morning I simply emailed GeneraX to inform them of my issue, not expecting to get a response until Monday. And I really wasn’t too worried about it because the generator was doing a great job.     Purchased a 22kw whole house generator on 3/28/18 and was informed by David that they had a heavy workload and would take 3-4 months for installation . On 6/3/18 they begin the installation process. The pad , generator and tanks were delivered, followed shortly by the electrical work, final setup and then the walk thru. The total time amounted to 10 days. All the crews were friendly and professional. We only had one small issue with the ceiling which they corrected by sending a gentleman to patch and paint the area.     I was hesitant to write a review right after our installation. But its been two months now. We had a power outage at 4am. Our 2 month old $30,000 air cooled unit did not kick on. We tried to call all the service numbers but their voice mail was full. I was not happy. But it turns out the first option I pressed for sales and service was not the right one. We left a message on the 2nd option. We also emailed and were replied to by the owner Mark at 5.30 am just 45 minutes after our email. Shortly we were called by a repair person in Miami who said he would leave immediately for our house and then we got another call from someone who was nearer. The first one was not able to fix it but the 2nd one, who is in our area and on call 24/7 found the problem was a loose wire and he fixed it on the spot. We were up and running by around noon. We decided to move forward and get the system monitor called Mobil Link - which we really thought should come standard. Supposedly it will allert them when there is a problem and they will come fix it before the next outage. I hope that will work. Anyway our repair person had one on the vehicle so we were able to get it installed immediately. I was very impressed with the responsiveness of the entire crew and the fact that the owner is actively involved in making sure customers are taken care of. Based on our experience I can highly recommend Generx. I would also recommend getting the monitor and getting the direct phone number to the emergency repair tech in your area. I now have ours.

    I initially had to wait a few months before I could get scheduled for an appointment, and I have to admit I was frustrated. But just like any great ride at Disney World, sometimes you have to wait on a long line before you can experience the ride. Once I was on the GenerX Ride it was well worth the wait.     I had to update my review to a positive one after the followup done by upper management with Generx. All business have challenges and make mistakes...but the sign of a quality business is how they handle these types of situations to ultimately resolve the problem with their customers. Generx s phone staff - customer service staff failed me today. They showed no real care or desire remedy a botched service call that I arranged two weeks in advance. After numerous calls and emails today asking for some consideration to address their mistake, I was told my options were to wait 12 days for another time when the could schedule me, or I could go to other generator companies they referred me to and have them repair it. I explained that my generator was down, and ask for some faster resolution to my problem than 12 days. There customer service manager puts me on hold to go ask his boss and comes back to tell me to call one of the other companies to handle it and have a nice day...Click. Luckily I did leave a message for Luke who is the branch manager I believe for Generx. He also got word of my situation and he called me personally to arrange to have a technician come out the same day to look at my generator. He was sincere in his apology and has worked to help me overcome this situation. I own a business and realize that things happen...and sometimes your employees dont maintain the same customer service standards the people who built the business hold....and management has to get involved. Im grateful they did. But damn...it shouldnt be this hard. A little consideration for a very bad situation was all that was needed here. Companies like to hid behind their phones...only do online orders....emails...but sometimes you have to pick up the phone and just say hey...we screwed up...how can we work to make this right......Luckily Luke gets this.....but there is work to be done with the phone staff.

    Great company with a great product. Had a 18kw generator installed just before Helene hit, but didnt need it for that storm. We were in the direct path of the eye of Milton and lost power around 11pm. The generator kicked on almost immediately and stayed on until we got power back 3 days later.Best part of the whole thing is that Generex does all the paperwork and permit pulling. Only thing we had to do was let our HOA know about it.With all the positives, there was one negative. There was a lapse of communication about the permits taking a longer time than expected and it took about 4 weeks longer than their normal listed time. I called them about it an they were able to bump the install up two weeks, which ended up being perfect as if they didnt we wouldnt have had it for Milton.Aside from that little hiccup, it was a pleasure doing business with them and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a permanent backup generator.

    Rob Schwiebert, Matt Russell, and the GeneraX installation crew did a great job. The pad, generator, and transfer switch were installed in two visits. Matt activated the system and gave clear detailed operational information. He setup Mobil Link for remote generator monitoring for complete piece of mind during periods of questionable utility power supply.

    Generx Generators installed our whole-house generator about 12 months ago and recently performed routine maintenance (oil and filter change, performance testing, etc,). The service man was very conscientious and raised some concern about the absence of wiring to activate the load management system. However, the GenerX electrician who had installed the generator last year contacted me immediately and explained that the service man was unfamiliar with the Smart Management Module that is activated wirelessly with a transponder attached to one of our AC units. The GenerX electrician made a site visit the following day, inspected the generator and conducted tests to confirm that the SMM was properly installed and functioning. He also followed up with documentation for the manual and photos. I admire both the conscientiousness of the service man and also the professionalism of the electrician for promptly addressing what appeared to be a problem - both of these representatives of Generx are a credit to their company and their business and interpersonal skills are reassuring to Generx customers.

    Chose GenerX because they do the entire job: buried the 500 gallon propane tank and line, installed all electrical work and installed and activated the generator itself. Each crew was very pleasant, answered all our questions and cleaned up, leaving the worksite in original condition.
