I consider Jeff to be a teaching and reorganizing electrician. During this hot spell, the window AC tripped a circuit breaker. I was afraid to try it again, had to get it going, as my wife is 95, Im 86.Jeff checked out the AC, checked the circuit breaker, taught me that this kind of AC draws a spike of a charge when started, explained that there is a reset button on the plug. I had seen that but didnt know how to use it (our son bought it for us, so he has that paperwork for it.)He moved the plug for a lamp, so that the AC doesnt have to share.I appreciate all those things jeff said and did.I asked how to pay him. We recently got a quote from Jeff for electrical work and the experience was great! He was very professional and showed up exactly when he said he would. He was honest about what work we needed and gave us fair prices. Oak Electric was the 3rd electrician we tried to have come out in the Oak Park area and the others either werent responsive or didnt show up when they said they would. Definitely recommend Oak Electric!

Oak Electric is outstanding! I could not have had a better experience/outcome. We had an issue with some of our lights dimming and not working that started over the weekend. I called Oak Electric on Monday morning. Jeff (the owner) answered the phone and set up a time to look at the issue that morning. He quickly and accurately diagnosed the problem. He needed specialized parts which he obtained and the problem was resolved by the early afternoon! I could not be happier with the service and the outcome. Jeff is professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Most highly recommended!!!

Electrical service line had pulled away from our house. We were referred to Jeff at Oak Electric. Called him and left a message. He called us back in 10 minutes. Discussed our issue and he showed up early next morning with his team. They were very professional and fixed the service line plus repaired siding that had come loose were lines were attached to the house. Jeff and his team did an excellent job and are highly recommended to anyone.

The circuit breaker for my condo living room kicked off 3 times in a single evening. Called Jeff who said his guy would be there next morning (but call again if there was an emergency). Next day Wolf made a thorough check and found a power strip plug behind a cabinet that was bent. It had shorted and kicked the breaker. New power strip -- problem solved. Good work.

Jeff and his crew were so helpful and knowledgeable. They showed up on time! They were very thourough with their explanation about what they were doing. The best thing about Oak Electric is they did not talk down to me or look at me like I was an imbecile because I used my own words instead of electrician speak. There are so many vendors that give the ok lady like you know what your talking about eye roll. Jeff and his crew did not do that at all and that is a great feeling to know they genuinely cared about what I was describing to them. I plan on using them when my next phase of work needs to be implemented.

I have employed Oak Electric for electrical work both at my home in Oak Park and my business, also in Oak Park. They are dependable, prompt, honest, they do what they say they will do, their prices are fair, their crew is friendly, courteous, skilled, professional and they clean up after themselves, which to me is a big deal. And most important of all for work in my home, I know I can trust them to work alone in my home. They are the only ones I will call if I need future electrical work done.

Jeff and his team at Oak has been working on various projects at our house now for a week. They come when they say, call when they cant come, always prompt, always nice. Jeff does not cut any corners when it comes to safety, getting permits etc. All the guys really know their stuff. They consult and discuss what we want and advise what will work and what wont. I cant say enough about Oak Electric. They are OUR electricians. The best.

I had a great experience with Jeff, the owner of Oak Electric. We had a partial power outage and power fluctuations that happened in our home over the weekend. I called Jeff at 8:30 am on Sunday and he returned my call in 5 minutes. He was over at the house within the hour and he helped diagnose the problem and gave me some tips about how to communicate with Com Ed.

Power went out in our garage. Circuit breaker wasnt working, so I called Oak Electric. He found the culprit within 5 minutes... there was a kill switch hidden in the garage that I accidentally tripped. He didnt charge us at all for the visit. I would call them again in a second!
