Dan Wood came out to investigate a sanitary pipe leak in my crawl space. They quickly got me scheduled and ended up having to replace 20+ feet of old corroded, heavy cast iron pipe and replace it with properly pitched PVC. This was a rough 3 day job in a cramped crawl space replacing a sewage pipe, as bad as it gets. Every time progress was made a new issue popped up due to the old original plumbing but Jack and Curtis were friendly and transparent throughout the whole job. Ive used this company at work for years but this is the first major issue Ive had for them at home. A true family owned business with a passion for their work that Id recommend to anyone.

Our air went out in the middle of the hottest week this month. I called Dan Wood on a Friday and scheduled an appointment for Tuesday. They called on Monday to say they had an opening and Corey was here that afternoon. Our unit is a number of years old so we anticipated having to purchase a new one. He replaced a capacitor and did not try to upsell us. When it is time to replace our furnace and air (we are definitely on borrowed time) we will only be calling Dan Wood.

We had a leaking shut-off valve that was corroding the gas line to our dryer. Dan Wood sent a plumber out within 24 hours to fix it. Everything about the service was exceptional. Sam Harlow was the plumber and he was outstanding: on-time, knowledgeable, courteous, and extremely thorough. He took care of everything in one visit, and the work was perfect. He even noticed that we had an issue with our dryer vent and addressed it for no charge. Thanks Sam! We have used Dan Wood in the past and they have always provided great service. Highly recommend them!!

This time, after a bad flood, they sent a camera down and discovered the drain pipe had corroded underneath the basement floor. They scheduled a repair date and finished in one day. A friend of ours, who is a home inspector, told us this family-owned business is honest and reliable, so we called this morning at 8:00 AM because a pipe was leaking in our basement. By 10 AM, Dan Wood Plumbing sent a young man named Brian here to solve our problem. He was a polite, conscientious, hard worker, who not only repaired the problem but also cleaned up well! This will be our Go To business whenever we have plumbing concerns or problems. Their pricing is reasonable, and they dont take advantage of us senior citizens. The office workers are pleasant and helpful, too. This is a quality business, so I pray they will have continued blessings in all they do!

Highly recommend. These guys are the real deal. We had a rather complicated job, tearing out a boiler from a location that was not to code as well as a water heater in a different location, replacing with a boiler/tankless water heater combi unit in a third location. Also had some electrical work done. So we needed HVAC, plumbing, and electrical and these guys did it all. I had gotten over 10 quotes from different places and this company had the best plan and I felt most confident choosing them over all the others. I was not disappointed. They all knew exactly what they were doing and got the job done when they said they would. It wasnt cheap, but the price was reasonable considering all that had to be done. 100% glad I chose them. I have had bad experiences with various contractors and plumbers, so its great to have someone I can trust for future projects. I will definitely be hiring them again.

A lot of the time, Google reviews arent accurate. But 4 stars here is absolutely perfect I would say. Theyre expensive but they take good care of you. A couple problems arose with a big job they did for me and they came back out twice for no additional charge, even sending out the most experienced supervisor to resolve my issue. Office staff is very friendly and helpful as well.Its a big company so they dont pay their workers well enough, and they are overworked as well. Im sure that contributed to some of the issues that prevented me from giving 5 stars. The workers themselves are great and would recommend them as individuals anytime. But you would be better off finding an experienced, independent plumber who can give more attention to your problem without the overhead costs and issues that come with a big capitalist enterprise.

I had an HVAC issue, spent a lot of time to try to fix it (Im also an engineer), but only able to figure out some. So, I called Dan Wood Inc, They were able to come the next day ( I first scheduled with Ehlers heating, but had to wait for 5 days, and when times up, they called and said the technician was not able to come because not feeling well).The service person, Corey, arrived on time (the next day morning at 8!), and quickly figured out a number of issues, and solved the problem. Hes very professional, very gentle. ...and the charge was very reasonable. Highly recommend Dan Wood and especially Corey!

I have trusted Dan Wood with all my plumbing needs for more than 10 years, and have also used them for repairs/installations at my moms house. Based on my referral, my friends and family have also used Dan Wood and have been extremely satisfied. My most recent experience is just another case in point. My kitchen faucet was spraying water all over the kitchen. But with a single phone call, I was able to get an early appointment, then advance notice of their tech Scotts arrival, and within an hour a complete kitchen faucet replacement. I highly recommend Dan Wood.

Jonathon and Albert were friendly, knowledgeable and efficient and corrected a seriously flawed system installed by the previous licensed plumbers. My experience with Dan Wood Plumbing was fantastic, especially during this difficult time with Covid. The owner and his wife responded to me immediately over a holiday weekend, helped me to assess my problem with detailed photos and conversations, and they came out the day after the holiday to get my new water heater installed ASAP. They listened to all of my concerns about Covid precautions, made me feel comfortable and were efficient, timely, responsive and a pleasure to deal with. We now have an new 75 gallon water heater that was reasonably priced and perfect for our needs. I highly recommend Dan Wood and will absolutely use them again!

Dan Wood is just what I needed. I had a clogged drain in my backyard and they cleared it very quickly in less than an hour and charged $185. The technician that came out was professional and knew what he was doing. I had Mr. Rooter out earlier in the summer. They were here for over an hour and did not clear the drain, complained and explained. I still had to pay $357 for the service call. From now on I will call Dan Wood

Honest and trustworthy reputation from their humble working class roots in Southwest Detroit. Ive used them a few times the last few years....most recently a kitchen sink back up, a shower faucet leaking and an outdoor faucet replacement. Gregg just left my house and was very pleasant. He explained what he was doing and cleaned up after himself. Very nice to work with a local family owned business.

I can not say enough about this company!!! I am a service manager at an apartment complex in Roseville. We had a sewer line collapse that affected 16 residents. We needed it repaired ASAP!! The underground work was handled by another company but we needed to trace the pipe. Geoff rearranged the schedule not once but twice in the same day and four times all together to make this repair happen! If I said JUMP, they asked How high? If you have any plumbing needs DO NOT hesitate to call them!

I cannot say enough about Dan Wood and the people that work there! My dad is 87 and his air conditioner died right in the middle of the COVID Pandenic and a heat wave! Knowing his age, Dan Wood did everything they could to put him at the top of the list and make sure he had a new unit ASAP and at a great price! They were professional yet friendly and made sure all of his questions were answered and got his unit installed in record time. This company really saved my skin. The city of Wixom gave me a ridiculous deadline to review something that wasnt even a problem. This company made every effort to fit me in their schedule. Jimmy & Jeremiah (electricians) were excellent. The quote was fair and the guys tried with great success to complete everything on our large list of tasks (changed/upgraded our electrical panel, updated almost every outlet in our 3500 sqft home, installed a series of light fixtures, and even investigated and fixed an outdoor lamp that hasn’t worked for over 20 years). The guys were very respectful each time they showed up to our home (masked and shoe coverings, cleaning up there worksites). It was a big job and it took 3 visits. Over the series of visits, we came to know Jimmy & Jeremiah and they earned our trust. They did a great job and we were pleased with the results. We will call on Danwood’s services again, and we will request Jimmy and/or Jeremiah for future electrical work. We also recently had plumbing work done by Danwood plumber, Martin. He too was professional and personable, earned our trust, and has subsequently completed other work that was needed. Danwood’s techs appear to be honest and trustworthy. I really appreciate that they don’t try to upsell us any additional parts or system accessories. They do what you ask and give useful information about the work they’re doing.

We’ve wanted to upgrade some of our lighting in our 1927 Royal Oak home for years. We finally made it a priority and found light fixtures that we love. We called Danwood for an electrician based on our neighbor’s recommendation. We couldn’t be happier with the outcome. Their office staff was very professional and helped me see the pros and cons of installing a new bathroom fan. Master electrician Jimmy Speelman did our job. He gave us great recommendations when he came and quoted the project. Jimmy was on time, professional and very friendly. He used all our COVID protocols. Zane came to our rescue. After being without heating and cooling for 3 weeks, Zane was greeted by a warm 87 degree home. He quickly asked what was going on and then went right to work. He was very knowledgeable about our unit and was able to troubleshoot the problem. The cost was very reasonable as well for two hours of work and two parts to be replaced.I would suggest anyone who has heating/cooling issues to call Dan Wood for service.

Chris and Tom were sent to my home to install and shower that was damaged from a flood back in June. They came in and did a phenomenal job. Not only did they replace the shower, they noticed issues with the drain and corrected it to bring it to code instead of ignoring it. On 7-4-20, my toilet overflowed. Dan Wood handles the heating, air conditioning, and plumbing at our work shop. My brother in law contacted Dan Wood and they dispatched Gregg to come to my home. Gregg contacted me promptly with his estimated arrival time, and arrived when he said he would. Once inside, Gregg diagnosed and corrected the problem. His professionalism and knowledge diffused a tense situation. This is the first time that I had Dan Wood in my home to do work, but it will not be the last time. Where do I begin. We were having our foundation fixed when the guys ran into a issue and cut our water line. Honest mistake but it left us without any water. Dan Wood was able to make and emergency call, which any plumber can do. But where they shined was their two employees. Anytime you get work done in or around your home there is a bit of tension. There is a stranger invading your space. But with these two, I wouldnt hesitate to have them back again. Not only that but they did am amazing job. If all the Dan Wood employees are like these two, I will not hesitate to use them again.Sean Morse was one of these two techs.
