The team at Arcadia Restorations completed a hefty project supported by the VT Historic Preservation Barn Grant for our original timber frame barn. Their work is absolutely the most precise, historically accurate, and mindfully done. Adam and his crew never flinched at the idea of working in winter temps, and were always timely, neat, and communicative about progress. Their plans evolved according to the way the barn responded to their work, and they were adaptable and thorough in completing all we asked and more. We are thrilled with the work they did for us, and glad to stay in close contact with Arcadia Restorations as good friends, too. We cant recommend highly enough!

Arcadia Restorations is one of the best in the business. Adam and his team of collaborators are knowledgeable, communicate clearly and do wonderful work. Yes, they are restoration experts but they also understand the practicality of how a building is used in the present and future. I would happily hire them again.

Arcadia Restorations team is knowledgable, skilled and productive. Adam has done superb barn work for us, and Ive had a chance to see a lot of his results for others, all equally impressive. I will engage Arcadia Restorations for any project within the scope of their offerings.

Adam King has been a trusted partner every step of the way in the rehabilitation of my farm building complex: from brainstorming ideas for future uses of an old building, restoration approaches, consulting in the planning phase and grant writing process, to execution. Arcadia Restorations consistently deliver on their reputation for knowledge, craftsmanship and superior client experience.

If you need architectural restoration and/or preservation carpentry work and you have a timber frame older than 80 years -- whether its a barn, a church, a home, or even a wooden WW2 zeppelin hanger (seriously, ask the owner Adam about it if you get to talk to him) -- the folks at Arcadia Restorations should be your first call. From talking to Adam its clear that early Vermont barn restorations are their first love, from humble English barns to some of the biggest in the state (Ive seen some of Adams work on the Shelburne Farms Breeding Barn restoration project, its immaculate). And while this didnt apply in my case, Adam told me they regularly help clients appraise and help apply for Vermonts Barn Preservation Grant Program (where the state of Vermont pays for a GOOD chunk of the restoration costs for eligible barns). On top of that, Arcadia does more than structural timberframe repair -- in fact, my most recent project with Adam is a period-accurate front door for my Victorian home with beautiful paneling and ornamentation. Obviously I cant recommend Arcadia Restorations enough -- you should work with them if you have the chance!!

Arcadia Restorations did a report assessing, documenting, and make recommendations for restoration and treatment of the historic sash windows in the Ilsley Public Library. It was a pleasure to work with Adam and the final report was incredibly helpful!

Incredible preservationist, the best in original timber framing I have ever seen. A pleasure to work with as well.
