My sump pump pipes broke in a storm and my entire finished basement flooded. Ethon Begone and his team from American Home Maintenance came to my house ins short order and began shutting off water and began to rod all my sewer pipes. They were quick efficient and very thorough. While the flood ruined thee finished portion of the basement they were able to stop the flooding in short order and prevented damage to my furnace, AC, hot water heater and washer and dryer. They were very good and i cant recommend them highly enough. After the insurance settlement I will definitely use them to restore the basement.

I had American Home Maintenance do some amazing work on the inside of my house. While they were there- some of my many outside shutters were disintegrating. I needed to replace them all. I wasn’t sure who to call. Scott, who was doing my inside work, said that they could take care of them for me. So, he counted and measured them. Then Ethon, the owner, ordered them. Once they arrived Scott came back to install. So easy and my house looks brand new again! I am so happy. I will definitely use the company again.

I don’t often write reviews but I figured this might help someone. It’s always frustrating when you know there is something wrong with your house - roof leak, appliance doesn’t work or a plumbing problem. It always sucks knowing that when you call someone you don’t know if you can trust them or if they will charge you a stupid amount of money and forget about you.Then there are guys like Ethon and Scott who did everything the right way. They worked with my schedule, took their time diagnosing what and where my problem is and tried to do everything as efficiently as possible not to bill me for things that were not necessary. They were both great to work and gave me piece of mind.

Ethon is amazing. He helped rebuild my garage after a fire and now I call him with any home projects. Hes incredibly fair and honest and does things the right way. He offers his genuine advice and doesnt ever try to sell unnecessary work. He arrives on time and has always been accountable to finish the work, which very rare to find in the industry. I would highly recommend Ethon for about any home project.

Ethon and his team did a great job with what was requested. We explained that we wanted to upgrade our bathroom fans as well as vent them out through our roof. Ethon explained everything that would be done and gave us a cost so we knew exactly what to expect. His tech (Edgar) did a great job completing the task. I would recommend them to anyone.

Ive had a few different tasks completed in the last year, and each time the experience has been fantastic from start to finish; they are one of the best handyman in Northbrook Illinois. From setting up and confirming an appointment to receiving an accurate and competitive cost and time to complete estimate, everything has been simple and quick. Ethon and his staff are courteous, skilled, and, unlike other contractors, are always on time and highly efficient in their job!

Ive used American Home Maintenance for several projects at our home including installation of a catch basin to prevent pooling in our backyard, foundation repair, water heater installation, and other plumbing, electrical and home repairs; basically a GC for all of your home maintenance and repairs. While not necessarily the cheapest around, you get what you pay for, and our projects have always come within budget. Working with Ethon (owner) is a pleasure, he is extremely knowledgeable, honest, and truly cares about getting the job done properly and on budget. If you want to take on projects yourself, or parts of projects, he is more than willing to provide you guidance. Best of all Ethon is very responsive which is rare in the contractor world. We will continue to use American Home Maintenance and recommend this company.

I used American Home Maintenance Service and Repairs, LLC for a room renovation in the basement. Ethon was very knowledgeable and responsive throughout the duration of the renovation. There was an issue with the initial pricing for the project which was increased after the bid was sent out and signed, but was possibly a simple mistake with software. AHMS was still competitive price wise but also able to schedule the work sooner than other similar repair companies. For the most part the work was done at a professional level, however a few issues werent resolved prior to completion. Outlet boxes were installed prior to drywall installation and stick out from the drywall quite a bit with the outlet cover on. This will have to be repaired by another company prior to selling the house as it is extremely noticeable. Despite that and a few other issues, the overall quality of work was acceptable.
