I was on the fence about hiring a home inspector for my 12 week warranty inspection. However hiring Martin turned out to be an excellent decision. He found numerous issues that I would not have otherwise detected without his experience and thoroughness, many of which were quite significant and should be covered through warranty. These items would have cost thousands of dollars out of my pocket to fix down the road if unidentified now, and could have posed potential safety risks as well. Would highly recommend Martin.

Martin is superb! What impressed me first was our initial phone conversation. I didnt have to ask what his service entailed, he just told me what he would be doing. Others I contacted only said they could do the inspection and what date would be convenient for me. If you walk along with him, I suggest you do, he explains what he is discovering that is incorrect in your home. He charges more than other inspectors, but the differential is well worth it. He promised to have the report to me later in the day and did not disappoint.

Martin came out to my house within a few days and did a thorough inspection. My house was a new build that was done by a reputable builder which I hand picked this was a custom home built on my land. My builder only uses contractors that he used for over 20 years I was told. They all were terrible in their work preformed I cant use workmanship because they would have to be tradesmen of which I dont believe they were. Martin also pointed out other defects and code violations I missed. Dont make the same mistake I made have your home inspected as its being built to correct mistakes made before it cost more to fix later. I was lead to believe my high dollar builder would take care of me big mistake! From someone who knows his way around homebuilding, I would say that he really knows the local codes and what to look for, and knows how to look out for the technical and mechanical novice. Martin is a very personable individual and communicates very well. He has a wealth of experience in the building trades and knows the building codes for South Carolina. During the inspection, he found numerous code violations in both the electrical and HVAC systems. His roof inspection found a shingle with hole in it. Using his thermal imager, he was able to determine that the house was properly insulated (i.e., no missing insulation) and that the AC was working properly to every room. Throughout the inspection process, he kept me informed and provided photos and video of what he found. Martin has my unqualified recommendation if you want your home inspected.

Martin was able to set us on a day when we were in town and arrived promptly on our discussed day. We were amazed at his level of knowledge within a new build and discussed several of the things that third party contractors do to cut corners, and ours had several. It was truly a blessing to get an unbiased report of the things that need to be replaced/redone correctly that we can pass along to the Developer. Contracted Martin to conduct a home inspection on our newly constructed home in North Myrtle Beach. Martins services are well worth the money and he provides a very thorough and detailed inspection. The defects/code violations he found would normally cost 5-8 thousand dollars to repair out of pocket. Thankfully, he was able to locate these defects within our 1-year warranty window. Martin is very easy to work with and was happy to answer any/all of our annoying questions during the inspection. Finalized detailed report was emailed within hours of completion. Would highly recommend Beach House Home Inspections LLC if you are looking for a quality, non-biased inspection.

To be honest with you there were not enough Stars to give Martin for the work that he did in finding all the mistakes that were in my house. Martin had all the proper tools to use and conducting a proper home inspection. I had another home inspection done by Walton inspections a year ago and he missed so many things due to the fact that he did not have the proper tools to use. I would recommend Martin for any home inspection. He is very thorough and what he does and that is one thing that I was most pleased about. If I end up buying another house I assure you Martin will be the person I will be calling for my home inspection.

Saved me from having to deal with some major issues in the future! Although I had decided not to use an inspector for a new construction home in the past, for some reason I thought it was a good idea this time. He proved to me that it was money well spent. Martin found some severely rotted out roof trusses which the builder had left exposed to the weather for several months during a construction delay. It was clear that some of them sat submerged in mud and water for an extended period of time. The builder decided to use them anyway! Aside from that little problem he found numerous other craftmanship issues. Fortunately I was able to back out of the contract cleanly with the aid of his extremely detailed inspection report. You know the builder will just sell the home to somebody else who wont have it inspected or just doesnt care. Also communicated well with me and was fairly flexible in scheduling even though it is clear to me that demand for his services is high. I give 5 stars only because there is no choice for 6.

This is the guy you want. Super detailed. Hes an expert, so you dont have to be. He explains things in simple terms and gives you all of the info you could hope for. I hired him for a warranty inspection. He found loads of code violations and flaws. His fee was less that the repair of 1 window and he found 14 that needed to be replaced. Money well spent.

This gentleman is very good at what he does. He has years of experience. He called promptly when he said he would & arrived on time. He explains everything to the customer, & listens to the customer. I really like that he uses a Thermography instrument & has a short You Tube video for that. Gives a discount if you pay cash. I would highly recommend him for a home inspection!
