    Everything about A2Z is great. Fair price for overtime call. I have worked with Nathan on other jobs and he is knowledgeable and very pleasant. Does excellent work. Most importantly I trust that I’m not being up charged for unnecessary work and can trust his assessment. I can’t recall if I left a review of their work on my basement bathroom. They were very easy to work with, flexible in working on my timeline, fixed multiple code violations on my water heater that Harris Boyz left when installed, quality work and reasonable price on vanity and shower install. They will continue to have my business for sure.

    Had 2 really great experiences with A to Z lately. Unfortunately needed a water heater replaced and then had an unrelated leak in our upstairs bathroom. Both times A to Z was able to squeeze us in early so if you called and were told a long wait time dont give up hope! They really mean it when they say they will call you if a slot opens up earlier and I really appreciate that about this company! The dispatch system is also great so you know exactly when a plumber will be arriving.

    Tomorrow is a birthday party indoors, because of weather. And the A/C Unit goes belly up overnight. When I reached out and explained my situation, they diverted two guys passing through the area enroute to a different job. They stopped and fixed the problem. Not only did they fix the A/C Unit, but they also discovered a closed duct that was restricting flow to a portion of my house. The service call was exceptional and I could not recommend A2Z Heating & Plumbing more.

    A2Z replaced my HVAC last summer with a SEER rating 22 AC and a 98% efficient furnace. Not many companies install high-efficiency systems, so I was fortunate to find A2Z. Although the high-efficiency system was more expensive than systems with ratings lower than SEER 16, our energy costs have been substantially reduced. For example, I paid $140 less in February 2024 than in the same month in 2023. I highly recommend upgrading your HVAC to at least SEER 22 / 98%. It’s a worthwhile investment that not only saves you money but also helps the city cope with increasing energy demand.

    Our water heater went out and they were able to provide service the same day I called! Technician was very polite and explained what the issue was as well as information about the warranty on the old water heater. Had us back up and running in just a couple hours. Excellent service.

    I called A2Z for a look at my water heater venting system and to do some smaller plumbing problems. I asked for Travis, as he has done a lot of work at my house since I bought it in 2017 (including managing the replacement of the entire sewer line in my house), and he has always done a great job. He’s quick and knows his stuff, and has never led me wrong. And he’s so friendly and a pleasure to talk to. I always feel reassured after he’s come because I know his work is excellent and I can trust him! Ive never had to call a plumber before so I appreciated the help and explanation.Update: the faucet started leaking again so I called up a2z within 30 days of the service call. They scheduled me in right away. Fixed the faucet. Didnt charge me a thing. I was VERY pleased. I will call them again.

    This was our first time using A2Z. We got on their schedule, about one week out, for a non-emergency water heater replacement. We were provided a cost estimate at this time over the phone. On the day of the installation we received both text and email notifications alerting us that Nate was on his way. The original appointment time estimate was noon to 3 PM. He was right on time. Nate was friendly, polite, efficient, and extremely knowledgeable. The installation went smoothly and quickly. Nate is a 27 year veteran of the trades. He knows his stuff. So how did A2Z do overall? They met or exceeded expectations in all categories. We would recommend them without reservation to anyone.

I would recommend A2Z and I will call them again in the future. Finding out you have no heat in the house when you get home from work, and know it is going to be a freezing night can be stressful. I called A2Z and the operator quickly located a technician for me, who contacted me immediately and came over to fix the problem.     We have had A2Z replace an old boiler with a high-efficiency unit/relocate it across our basement, relocate our laundry room from basement to first floor, install and route pex pipe into our floor joists for soffiting, a cement floor toilet installation, and two sink installs.     They installed my shower and fixed a lot of out of code plumbing. They had a great attitude. Most important they kept the work area clean!!!     Our water heater failed late at night. I called before typical business hours (7 am) the next morning and was pleased to receive such courteous help and information, and very relieved that we would be able to get the water heater replaced that very day. Canon, a friendly and knowledgeable technician, arrived later in the day and installed the water heater more quickly than expected, and the quoted price was reduced accordingly. We are very pleased with the service we received from A2Z and will certainly call them again. Most highly recommended.

    Fantastic customer service. I called to have them replace my leaky water heater and they were able to come out the next day and replace it for under the quoted price. I got a call from the office when the tech was running behind, even though he was still going to arrive in the time window they gave me. And if youre a real psycho, you can track the technicians progress towards your house on the map. Overall a great experience, will definitely call them again for my next plumbing (mis)adventure.

    Our water heater went out in the middle of the night (of course). I had an appointment with another company, but called A2Z because they sell and service AO Smith, our brand of water heater. Talking with Tami, she was able to pretty much determine what the issue was over the phone. We talked about options for repair and replacement (if necessary). While I had to schedule an overtime appointment, I was able to sign up for their maintenance program which reduced the rate and services the water heater every year. Steven came out within 45 minutes after talking to Tami and had everything running smoothly within 80 minutes. Steven also showed me what to maintain through the year and how best to extend the life of our water heater. While A2Z was a little more expensive than the other company I had scheduled, I felt that A2Z was more knowledgeable and really had the customers interest and satisfaction in mind. I was very pleased and will use them in the future.

    Awesome, nothing less than. Scott is very knowledgeable, professional, very nice human being. I feel lucky that I reached out to him. Satisfaction is an absolute guarantee with him. I needed to get a range hood installed, which I bought online. There was no duct and a microwave was hanging there. I called them and Scott came he checked the requirements and gave me a quote (NO CONSULTATION FEE) which was much better than the other handyman I had consulted. More importantly, he also guided on all other things which needed to be done before they could install a duct to the roof and my range hood. They definitely worked beyond the expected time limit and took extra effort to get the job done and still honored their quote. I will always hire them. They are the best.

    Life savers! Thank you Scott, Tammy, Darline, Justin and Service tech who I unfortunately forgot his name! Took a chance and called A2Z on a Saturday morning after receiving a call from my tenant saying that the furnace was out and he could see his breath inside. IT WAS 4 DEGREES OUT! A2Z had their on call guy Justin on site in 30 minutes! The problem was diagnosed quickly and I was given no hassle options to repair or replace the unit. After conferring with the tenant we decided it was best to replace though it would be a couple of days. The very next day (Sunday) MY water heater gave out! Seriously, who has this luck!?!? A2Z to the rescue again! Scott was able to look up my serial number and informed me that it was still under warranty and since A2Z is a certified AO Smith retailer, he could get me a brand new slightly upgraded water heater with a new warranty for only $50 bucks plus parts and labor! Awesome! Both days of installation went great, the installers were on time, courteous, clean and contacted me directly to let me know when they were finished. I will definitely be using A2Z for all of my properties and personal heating and plumbing in the future and you should too! You just cant beat this locally family owned and operated business!

    A2Z was dispatched to my home to replace a defective water heater I purchase from Menards. The technician was on time oh, that technician was friendly to me and my dog, and in less than 3 hours he had the unit replaced which included going to Menards to get a replacement water heater.     Digging out of a Derecho was not something we ever thought we would have to do. No electricity, no internet and our AC under a hundred foot tree. Scott and his team at A2Z has been stellar from the first phone call. We were given their name by a friend, called, received immediate attention, even though their work load was heavy, had a quote within an hour of the call and had our AC and Furnace installations within a week after our electricity was restored. Justin and his workmate were excellent installers, friendly, communicative and left our home swept and clean.In a time when we all need to count on each other, they pulled through like champions!!     Great experience, fast, friendly service. Our water heater failed overnight and flooded our basement with 3 of water. Called A2Z the next morning and Tammy, who was very nice and knowledgeable, helped to get the water heater replaced early that same afternoon. Fair pricing and Scott the technician was great. Only took about an hour and a half for removal of old heater and installation of the new one. Would definitely recommend to anyone who needs their water heater repaired or replaced.

    Having your furnace go out in February is not pleasant when you live in Iowa. I had a great experience with this group. They sent someone out immediately to diagnose the issue. I also had my repair approved quickly through American Home Shield, and after a quick trip to Cedar Rapids and back for a part the total time it took him to replace the item and get back in his truck and head to the next job was 19 minutes. Great job!!

    Update 12/30/20 - Ran into a few issues on an install, mostly due to things that were outside of anybodys control, including some changes Rheem made in how they wire things.     Great experience, showed up when they said they would. Scott is very knowledgeable about our type of heating system (hot water), got the needed repairs approved quickly through American Home Shield and were able to be back quickly and get the system fixed. I had a question a couple days after the service and Scott called me back quickly and answered my question completely and also gave me some good advice to improve the efficiency of the system. My wife, Joy Ward, and I have had these folks out several times to help with those home system failures like water heaters, softeners and the like. If you live in Eastern Iowa and need anything in their line of work, you couldnt do better than to give them a call. They respond quickly, come when they say they will, quickly diagnose the problem, and before you know it, youre back in business. Their rates are reasonable and their work is excellent.They came last week when our water heater failed. Our old one was still under warranty and they replaced it with a brand new one charging us only for the labor (2.5 hrs) and a few parts needed for the hookup. We couldnt be happier.     We called A2Z after we had had two other plumbers come look at our problem. We had a leak through the kitchen ceiling that appeared each time we took showers in the upstairs bathroom. One company told us that we had to replace all the plumbing in the shower (a major renovation project). The other plumber tried to fix the drain but water still leaked through. The A2Z guy (probably, the owner) came in, cut a small hole in the ceiling to see where water was coming from; then poured some water into an unsealed area around the shower door and said that water was probably coming through there. Together we tested it several times and indeed that was the problem. Solution? We caulked the area and the leaking stopped. Total cost was $99.00 for correct problem diagnosis instead of thousands that the other company was going to charge us. Highly recommend A2Z!
