    This spring, our family home, where my mother lives, had some trouble with water in our walk-out basement. Our family got proposals from several waterproofing contractors. Ray’s was not the most expensive and it was not the cheapest, but it was by far the most thorough and thoughtful proposal for addressing our water problems.We chose not to install the French drains inside the slab, but rather just have Ray do a series of exterior work to revise the floor around the backyard.The thing about Ray was that I think he knew exactly what to do as soon as he saw the problem. He did a pretty major new retaining wall and patio, and also put in a bunch of area drains, gravel filled trenches, drain tile and dry-well installations to pick up ground water before it got to our slider door.Ray takes a great deal of pride in his work and went the extra mile for my mom to give her a very nice project that will last year and years after we are gone from that house. Something you need to know about our project is that my mom was pretty nervous throughout the process and spent a lot of time asking Ray questions and wondering if he was doing the right thing. Ray was so patient with my mother. It felt like he was treating her like he would his own mom.     I highly recommend Ray and his team! For years our home has dealt with a wet basement. Ray was confident that he could solve our issues. The team did a wonderful job limiting the dust and disruption as the stuccoed the walls and waterproofed them. They installed french drains around the entire perimeter. They cut through a ton of ledge.

    We hired Set in Stone due to an issue with water in our basement. We were blown away by their customer service, prompt response and consistent communication. Their work with waterproofing our foundation is second to none. We had floods in the area, storms with 6 inches of rain, and we never had a drop of water. It’s also wonderful that they work alongside Ray’s Carpentry. We were able to have all of our needs met with one phone call. I highly recommend this company!

    Ray and Set in Stone were incredible to work with. I called him based on the reviews online and I’m really glad I did. Everything came out better than I expected, and was completed faster than I expected. Ray was easy to communicate with, explained each step, and personally oversaw all the work. The work was exceptional. His masons are true craftsmen and the quality of their work is exceptional. Each of his employees were wonderful - friendly and professional (my favorite part of his crew was definitely Skittles). In the end, I felt like I was treated like Ray would treat a member of his family. If you want someone who treats your house like they would their own home, this is the place. I look forward to working with them again!

    After our basement flooded multiple times, Ray and his team conducted a full flagstone foundation repair to remediate the flood damage and seal the foundation with waterproofing. Ray was great at communicating each step of the process with us. His staff worked diligently for multiple weeks to complete our entire foundation repair as quickly and efficiently as possible. We are very pleased with their mason work and our basement has remained dry.

    Ray, and Set in Stone of New England, did an incredible job for us. We now have a beautiful blue stone walkway which Ray and his team perfectly connected to a patio my husband and I built many years ago. Set in Stone listened to our concerns regarding the pitch away from the house. The team constantly had their levels out checking to make sure the pitch was just right. The team was happy, completed the job on time and as promised and the price was great (and did not increase!) We now have some curb appeal. We will hire them again and highly recommend their services!

    We hired Set in Stone to re-grout and restore the circa 1820 foundation of our home in Carolina, RI. We could not have made a better choice. First Ray and his crew demolished and removed the old benches and cabinets from the basement and then they set to work. The arrived everyday on time and Ray visited daily to assure the work was properly done. Ray was always available by phone and made a number of sound suggestions.     Ray’s Carpentry is a fantastic option for anyone contemplating a remodel. I just used them for a bathroom remodel and am very pleased with the finished product. The remodel took just over 2 weeks to complete. Ray’s employs professional employees who take care to set up and clean up every day. Their work is impeccable.     After many years of a crack in the basement wall and many different repairs to no avail Set in Stone did its magic. We have had several heavy rainstorms since the repair and not a drop of water has come in. Ray was here when he said he would be. My home and property were left neat and clean. Shoes came off when they entered the house and the outside was left clean. His price was fair. Would definitely recommend him

    Ray and his team were probably one of the best crew I have hired. I found Set In Stone because he had done my neighbors steps/walkway. I fell in love with their work and hired them. This crew worked in difficult weather conditions yet they stayed on schedule and their work was perfect. The font of the house is wow now. I support small business.     I could not be happier with the work Ray and his crew did! They did a great job, fair price, completed work in the time frame they told us, always cleaned up and came to work on time and pleasant. We had several quotes from companies to get our foundation renovated/repointed but went with Set in Stone because he was honest and genuine and unlike other companies who told us this project would be a lot of work and a pain to do, Ray came into our house and said he could fix our foundation and make our basement look amazing.     Im a returning customer. In 2017 Ray and his crew replaced our garage floor. 3 years later it looks amazing and still loving it. This year we brought the team back in to replace out asphalt driveway with concrete. Rays responsiveness and updates throughout the project are top notch and will keep us coming back for more projects. The prices have always been very reasonable but what stands out the most is the quality of work. The crew works great together, show that they genuinely care for your property and what theyre doing.
