    PK & Altmans electricians were on time (actually early), they were cheerful, they did fine work, the work was completed earlier than expected, and they cleaned up when they were through. My wife and I are thrilled with the result! The back office was super accommodating with the paperwork demands of our coop and management. We give PK & Altman the highest recommendation.

    I needed to get some electrical work done in my apartment and PK was highly recommended by my super. I called them to set up an appointment and was warmly and professionally greeted by Glen. Glen listened as I explained my electric needs. An appointment date for an estimate was quickly made and a few days later Raphael showed up right on time and checked circuit breakers, evaluated the situation, and listened to what was needed. In short order the estimate was emailed to me and I was pleasantly surprised by the very reasonable price considering the scope of work involved. I called them back to set up the job date, request their insurance and put down a deposit. This time on the phone I was greeted by Joe. He was equally as professional and courteous as Glen. We set it all up but then some things in my schedule changed and I had to move dates and shuffle things around and they accommodated me easily and effortlessly. Anytime I called Glen or Joe they handled things so well and made me feel like I was always in good hands. The day of the job, Pedro and Cesar arrived on time and they worked efficiently. They were friendly and answered the many questions I had as they did their work. They did a great job! After they were finished they each cleaned up the floor and made sure that everything was neat and back in place. I was thrilled! I called Joe back after they left to give them praise because of their outstanding work. Again, Joe was his usual polite and courteous self. All in all PK is outstanding. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend them!!

    I can’t say enough about both the people and the service we received from PK & Altman Electric.We had contracted with an electrician to consolidate and upgrade our service.He started the job and filed the permits and we were near the inspection stage when he became ill and I believe he passed away.Now we had a job half done and no electrician.We searched around for a reputable company who could come and pick up the pieces for us and get us through the Con Edison and DOB maze and inspections.Right at our first contact with Joe we knew we were in good hands.Joe held our hand throughout the next few months until the job’s completion with knowledge, professionalism and always with a smile.Jorge our electrician was incredible. He knew exactly what was needed and always went the extra mile in explaining both the procedure and all the necessary steps to get through the job and inspections without any more bumps in the road.He was always on time, he worked clean and everything happened exactly as he said it would.We couldn’t be happier.And even Peter the owner, who needed to get involved at one point as we had a bit of an issue with the changing of contractors in the middle of the job, was a true gentleman. When the all the paperwork got stuck he personally jumped in and contacted us himself to reassure us that he was getting everything resolved.We have now finally come to the end of this job. It was a long hard road because of the issue with the first electrician. We know we will never be in that situation again because we have found our go to electricians. We have no reason to go anywhere else.We can’t recommend PK Electric enough. It felt like family. And that’s exactly the way it should be.PS: Thanks to Carrie too who jumped in to cover for Joe in his absence.

    We telephoned them and got an appointment with Cesar and Omar within a week. They expertly hung a new fixture above our dining table, which involved moving the location of our ceiling electrical box. They cleaned up as they worked and left very little for us to have to clean up after their visit. We would happily call them again for electrical projects.

    My experience with PK and Altman Electric was excellent. From my initial contact with Elizabeth in the main office to the service that was provided by Raphael and Omar, the staff was professional, polite, and punctual. I called on a Tuesday, and Elizabeth scheduled me in for Wednesday! And Raphael and Omar arrived an hour early. Before starting, Raphael reviewed a TO DO LIST with me. A ceiling fan and two outlets, including a GFI and light fixture, were either replaced or serviced. Pricing is competitive. Very pleased and would highly recommend.

    Very attentive, fast and worked extremely neatly. We had what could have been an extremely invasive project (which began as a TBD since they had to open our ceiling to determine the scope of work) and we were preparing to live through a huge mess which was extremely well managed by the workmen sent. Chris and Isabel answered all of my questions practically immediately and were so professional, and the guys who came to do the work were a pleasure to have here. I am an interior designer and would definitely recommend this company to anyone and everyone.

    Cant begin to say how pleased I was with the service! We had a breaker blow and I found them on Angies List. Their rating was well worth it given how quickly they arrived and even quicker with the fix. I was so pleased that the next time we had electrical problems I knew just who to call!

    We needed to install new ceiling light fixtures for our apartment. I’ve emailed this company last night and was able to schedule them for today at 3PM. Omar and Oleksander were amazing! They worked fast and did an amazing job. Besides installing our fixtures, they also fixed the problem with a floor lamp that wasn’t working anymore.I highly recommend them!! They’re true professionals.

    Overall, I thought they were great. PK & Altman was referred to us during a move from one office to another in NYC. On one hand the experience was limited because it was to disconnect some electrical wiring so that furniture could be broken down, and on the other, it was great because everything went smoothly - they showed up when they said they would, took payment the way they said they would, charged what they said they would, etc.

    I had an outlet installed in a walk in closet. Over email, we determined that the work would either entail channeling through the wall to get to a switch outside the closet, or doing some kind of wire mold (on the wall) if the switch would not work - the walls are plaster.They were up front about costs over email, and the technician arrived on time and completed the work in about an hour. The switch did not have a neutral wire, so a wire mold was necessary. They described the work and how it would look, and did a great job - even cleaning up the work area afterwards. +1 would use again!

    The electrician they dispatched went above and beyond. My wall mounted TV could not be removed and yet he was able to install the outlet with only 8 between the TV and the wall. Any other electrician would have left and said, call me once the TV is removed. This guy was GREAT!

They were prompt in responding to the Angi request, and sent a project manager out right away who was informative and helpful. The written proposal was accurate, and regular email, phone, and text exchanges with our customer service rep and our project manager helped keep things moving along smoothly. The electrician team who did the installation was efficient and courteous throughout the process, and their work was excellent, even more so because of a 132-year old building--and a demanding client (me).
