    I call A & W Plumbing early this morning because of busted water heater. The office was so kind and said they were just starting their day and she would call back as soon as she had a time they could get here. When we got the call they were here in just a few minutes.     We had a water backup a few months ago. It took twice for them to come out to figure out the full issue but they did a great job fixing it and were very friendly.Father’s Day weekend it happened again. I was able to have some come out Late Saturday and he quickly found the issue. The clean out pipe they put in for us a fewMonths ago was cut too long. Thankfully shortening the pipe fixed the issue. SinceIt was technically an issue they missed before they didn’t charge us. Even for coming after hours on a weekend! Thank you for your fast and friendly service.

    Okay, let me begin by saying that I am not a social media user. With that in mind, please know that I am writing this review because I feel the need to share my first time experience with A & W Plumbing. I contacted another plumbing company prior to calling A & W. After trying since Friday, December 23rd, yes two days before Christmas and during the coldest weather Southern Illinois has experienced in a while, with one return call setting up an appointment for Saturday afternoon. After leaving several messages after a no show for the appointment, there was no acknowledgment of my text messages or voice messages from the other company, I contacted A & W. I left one voice message on Monday, December 26th, and received a call from a representative from A & W within an hour. I called around 10:00 am and was meeting Ian from A& W by 12:30 that afternoon. We had experienced what, unfortunately, many others had experienced this past holiday season…BUSTED WATER PIPES!! No water since Friday morning! Oh, did I mention that we have boiler heat? Well it’s wonderful unless you don’t have water. Our basement had about 8 to 10 inches of standing water in it until I got the sump pump working and our house was a balmy 45 degrees!!! Waited at the frigid house ALL day Saturday, waiting on the first guy, who was to meet me around 2:00 and never showed! Thank you A & W for answering my call. It’s Tuesday and we are back in a warm and toasty home with running water. Ian fixed the leaks, got the boiler running, stayed until he was sure it was in good working order and safe, and got the hot water heater up and running. A & W provides an outstanding service. Very professional and caring service. Caring is what I felt the most from the first contact with the representative who returned my call to the moment Ian left with instructions to call if I needed anything else. Another worker was in the area and stopped by just to see if Ian needed any help. He, Kyle, left his personal cell number in case we needed any more help. Wow! Caring and professional service! Thank you again A & W Plumbing!

    The great team at A&W saved our business from extended downtime when we had to relocate. I called & asked for project management help and the PM showed up in less than 24 hours and had an estimate in my in box next day. Couple days later, they showed up and started work. They’re professionals. The plumbing work looked like fine art. First class operation from start to finish - I highly recommend A&W.

    Justin M. was a big help with installing a new frost free hydrant. The project turned into a bigger ordeal than anticipated, and Justin didnt complain once. Would highly recommend A&W plumbing. They were also out the same day that we called which was a big help!

    Highly recommend to all. I had them dig up and replace 20’ of collapsed sewer line and they were on the job the next business day and ended up billing me LOWER than they estimated the cost to be (I don’t think I’ve ever had that happen...).They could have easily tacked on a higher bill and I would have had no idea I was overcharged. Thank you for not only the quick action, but integrity to charge a fair price. 5 ⭐️’s all around! Thank you, finally no more clogged drains..

    Excellent customer service, the people were very happy to help and friendly. I had a water pipe bust in my bathroom under the sink and they told me what to do until they could get someone to me. They got here within an hour or so and took care of the problem without any inconvenience. They performed their job quick and were in and out. Id recommend to anybody in the Southern Illinois area.

    Very professional, we had a water heater that needed to be replaced. Justin came out and checked everything out. He gave us a couple of options on what we could do and replaced the water heater the same day. After the install, he was very informative on the basic maintenance of the water heater and explained the warranty process if we needed it. We will do business again if ever needed.

    I had a sewer back-up & I tried everything I could to unclog the drain but couldnt. So I called 1 place & that was a & w.(I had a good reference through them) I called the next morning & Ryan called & was coming my way.When he got there he looked in the basement & seen the mess & went to get the pipe camera, he started the camera through the pipe to the city drain (on the way seen a huge root) & said there was the clog, got the snake with auger & cleared the drain.     This is the 2nd time I have had to use them. Our well had another part break unexpectedly. As soon as we called they were out to my home in 15 minutes. The receptionist was very kind. Chris, who came and fixed the well ,was very professional and worked quickly to fix the problem. I appreciate a good company and great staff and wanted to give credit were it was due. If you have a well they are the ones to call.

    He also removed an old vanity in our bathroom and installed a new one. We received excellent, professional and respectful services from Jason, who had the courtesy to wear a mask during the pandemic. We will certainly use this service again the next time we are ready for an update or need assistance with plumbing.

    We moved into our new home on a Saturday and Monday night found the gas water heater shooting a high pressure jet of water right out of the side of the unit and drenching the drywall. I shut off the water and called A&W the next morning. They were able to get a plumber out to me within an hour or two and had the tank replaced and hot water available before the wife came home from work. The guys on the job were courteous and professional and the work appears to be top notch. My only complaint is that these folks are freaking expensive. The problem is that these days, pretty much any reputable plumber is freaking expensive, so Im not knocking them for the price, just griping a little. I couldve replaced the heater myself for a third of what they charge, but Im not confident enough in my pipe sweating skills to risk flooding my home if one of my joints fails a week or month down the road. This way, if something fails, its on them (they offer a one year warranty on installation).

    Ryan at A and W did us more than a solid job at our home. It was in the negative temperatures on valentines day at that on a sunday night and we had our water main coming out of the ground going into our house freeze up and bust on us. I called the I followed the instructions on the phone for the 24 hours emergency contact and got ahold of a super nice lady with the company and she told me that a tech will be In contact with me in 30 min. Ryan called me sooner than that and let me know he was going to be on his way to do anything he could do to help with the issue. Blowing snow and ice out and poor driving conditions and they he still came and fixed my issue. Ryan was a very kind courteous tech and a pro at his job, we cant thank the individuals at A and W that made this happen for us because a busted water main when its that cold out and on a sunday doesnt leave you with many options but if you find yourself with any kind of plumbing or services they offer please do call you wont be dissapointed. I am hands down more than happy i got ahold of them. Thanks again Ryan!!

    A&W has done lots of work for me and my units. They are fair, transparent, and don’t give you the run around. They aren’t paid on commission, so they don’t try to upsell you.     We experienced a water line break late one afternoon on our side of the meter and had to shut our service completely off.
