We had damage to our Edina home from a hail storm. I noted when doing yard clean up that the slate roof had been broken as many pieces were on the ground surrounding the homes perimeter. Initially consulted a contractor doing work across the street however when adjuster came he was late and distracted spending most of his time texting on his phone. After declining the claim I consulted a friend who is an insurance agent and he suggested Stinson Services. Dave Brechon arrived on time and thoroughly inspected the roof confirming what I had noted with broken pieces of slate and obvious denting of copper gutters and two skylights cladding. He left full of information he documented and did research on the storm that hit our area. Prior to submitting he updated me on what he had assembled and modified after taking input from us also noting numerous options we had in material options. We decided to replace with the slate since the roof is such a prominent part of our home. He updated us as the process as it was resubmitted with proper documentation. Attention to detail by Dave helped in the approval to get replaced. Next was Stinson assembling the A-team crew for the replacement. All workers were courteous, industrious, and competent from tear off to final clean up. I have received so many compliments from people walking by. I cant say enough how glad I was to get Stinson involved and selecting as our roofing contractor. I can best summarize if you care about the quality and believe in doing things the right way then Stinson Services is an excellent choice for your home. Very pleased with process and results.

After our experience and research on many other Exterior construction companies, our decision to select Stinson Service was easy.In my opinion, there are many factors to consider when selecting a company for a roofing/siding project.1. Online Reviews - all glowing for this company2. Social Reputation - Stinson Services completed large projects for my friends and family. He was recommended to us by people we know and trust. Their reputation for quality work is outstanding.3. Professionalism - We were floored by the appearance and professionalism of the Stinson Services reps from start to finish. The project manager and operations manager were in contact with us every step of the way. We always knew who was at our house and why they were here. If we had questions or concerns, they were addressed immediately.4. Payment Options - It took us less than 10 minutes to complete the application, in our case, we have 0% interest for 18 months. It was simple.5. Delivery - Most important to us - the project was delivered on time and on budget; as promised by Stinson Services. The project passed city inspection without issue.Bottom line, it matters who you work with. Stinson Services exceeded our expectations.

Stinson Services replaced the shingles on our roof and shed after a hailstorm last summer. They were referred by a friend and were prompt in responding during a busy reroofing season. They worked with our insurance firm ironing out details of the claim, making it a smooth process. They were not able to keep to the timeline they originally projected due to the unavailability of the shingles we specified, which matched the shingles they were replacing. We didn’t want to settle for a less attractive, less durable shingle. Stinson Services searched the country to find them and brought them in from California. Perhaps if they searched for the shingles at the time the contract was signed, it would have reduced any delays. The actual project took less than a day. They had a large knowledgeable polite crew. It was a windy day but they still kept the debris to a minimum and cleaned up the site. Our roof was done well before the snow season and looks great. Nice job Stinson!

We hit the jackpot finding Stinson Services! After having some roof and facia damage, we also decided it was time to update our siding and wanted to do something outside-the-box. Heidi came and had a design suggestion when she arrived. We LOVE it!!! The roofing color and siding are something we would never had imagined but we get compliments on it by all our neighbors! The inside people AND installers were all EXCELLENT! Very responsive and quality team. Cannot recommend this company enough.

I recently worked with Stinson on a siding & roofing project due to storm damage. My situation was unique, and the wonderful staff at Stinson took the time to explain all my options, and made sure I understood everything so I could make the best decision. Everyone involved in my project, from their field sales person Dave, to the inside design consultant Heidi, and Project schedulers/supervisors Jesse & Aaron, were very polite, respectful, knowledgeable, timely and responsive. And equally as important, they are honest with clients if there is no hail damage at all. From the first meeting with Jim to discuss our home needs to the final inspection by Hector of the last project we just completed, we were 100% satisfied with everyone we worked with. Every contractor that is hired through Stinson is obviously well qualified for the jobs they do. We had multiple projects completed on our home over the past year. We’ve had gutters replaced, a door replaced, rotting flooring fixed, a new window installed, new roof put on, and new siding put on our house. Every job was professionally done and all of the work was done to the highest standard. We were very happy with everyone we dealt with. They ate Top notch communicators which is one of our top priorities when hiring contractors. The house looks amazing and we feel good about the warranty they provided. I cant say enough good things about working with Stinson Services in Edina, MN. From the initial consultation with the salesperson, to the office staff, site job manager and actual workers, it was a great experience all around! They worked closely with our insurance company on costs to replace our roof and siding damaged by hail and coordinated with our gutter company for that replacement as well. The workers were extremely courteous and did a great clean-up job of the site as well. Id hire them again without question!

The entire staff at Stinson Services were OUTSTANDING.Dave Brechon began my repair with complete professionalism, offering his knowledge and experience with my unfamiliarity with a storm repair/claim. Project manager Hector, Jesse, and their crew worked hard to ensure the quality of work and clean up were completed on time and with notch standards. I called Stinson Services and spoke with Thor Josefson to set up the appointment and requested the need for a documented roof report. Thor was a true professional whom answered all my questions with expertise and swiftly coordinated an inspection time. He sent out Jim Anderson to do the inspection and I got the same quality of professionalism and expertise. Both Thor and Jim provided elite level customer service and I highly recommend their services to anyone. When it’s time to replace my roof I will be calling Stinson Services and asking to talk to Thor!

I started working with Stinson last August to get some work done in the attic. They answered the phone right away, and I had an appointment scheduled with Jim the very next day. Jim was great to work with throughout the entire process. Very knowledgeable and explained every step of the process clearly. I also had some insurance work that needed to be done, and I had Stinson complete it. They are very knowledgeable with the insurance claim process and worked directly with the agent for the information they needed. When it came time to the design, Heidi and Jim were great. We were able to sit down and have a productive meeting to get the products and style that best fit me and my budget. The production team did a fantastic job and keeping me informed of the start dates and status of the project. The pre and post inspections and meetings were great. The crew worked super quick to fix imperfections and adjust to changes. Huge shout-out to Ryan, Craig, Jim, Aaron, Heidi, Thor, Hector, and the siding and roofing crews for their hard work. Awesome contractor to work with for roofing, siding, gutters, and insulation.

We had a hailstorm come through our area and I was concerned about our roof and possible hail damage. I contacted Stinson and expressed my concerns. The project manager Aaron Ouellette promptly returned my call and sent someone over within a few days to inspect our roof. The gentleman sat down with us and discussed what was needed. We had a quote shortly after that and the information was sent directly to our insurance company. The work was scheduled to be done in a timely manner and only took 2 days to complete once it was started. All of the insurance contact was also done by Stinson. I would highly recommend Stinson. Aaron Ouellette was professional and awesome to work with.

We just finished our roofing & gutter replacement project with Stinson Services, Inc. and everything about the process was professionally done - we couldnt be happier! From the start, Jim came out and performed a thorough inspection/was onsite with the insurance adjuster to gather all necessary information. His expertise allowed us to maximize our claim - especially as we really have no background in construction/repairs. Thor and the other office staff helped us through the replacement selection and buying process - providing mock-ups, samples, renderings and professional insights to make sure the end product was what we wanted and would look great. I had MANY questions during the process and Thor was always just a call or email away. Once the project was underway, Aaron and his crew(s) in production as well as Jesse on the insurance side went above and beyond to ensure everything was to our standards. When we had a question about the roof after installation, Hector was quick on the scene to tie up the loose ends to our satisfaction. Stinson was professional and timely with regard to our service - we hadnt even been living in our new home for a week before a huge hail storm damaged our siding and roof. Tom personally came out to assess the damage and gave us reassurance that he would be working closely with our insurance company to ensure everything would go smoothly. Within the next few weeks, our siding and roof were being replaced. They worked quickly and were cleaned up right after all the work was complete. I would definitely recommend them to family, friends, and neighbors and would use them again, when and if needed!

Called Stinson at the recommendation of my realtor. Wanted to determine if my roof was healthy enough to move ahead with installation of solar panels. When estimator arrived, he already knew that a hailstorm had been in my area in the last three months. He did a preliminary inspection, then guided me toward filing a claim with my insurance agent. He continued to act as my guide/advocate in interacting with the claims agent. Result: I got a brand-new roof for the price of my $1K deductible. Im set for life.Great communication throughout the process. They handled all permits, inspections, etc. All of their financial docs have squared precisely with my insurance claim, for easy tracking. They used quality materials, excellent workmanship, and did work in timely fashion. For small additional fee, they moved a bathroom vent opening, allowing me to increase the number of solar panels from 18 to 26. Great experience with fine people! Im hoping to use them again next spring for some siding work.

I was very pleased with the way Luke, from Stinson, helped me repair my deck. Stinson let me keep the cost down by letting me purchase the materials and do the clean up of the old boards removed from the deck. In one day, Luke replaced the boards that probably would have taken me the better part of a summer to do. His skilled labor was well worth the reasonable price we negotiated. He even did follow up later and stopped by to fix a couple little things I had noticed. I highly recommend Stinson for any of your construction projects around the house.

There were some insulation issues in my attic. I called Stinson Services for an inspection. Tom came over and did a thorough inspection. Moreover, he educated me regarding ceiling, attic, and roof of my house. The insulation work was done very quickly. The technician, Hector, was very kind and very helpful. He was always available for my questions. The recent snow evaluated the quality of their work. Two days after the snow, with the highest temperature around 32 degree, my roof was still covered by snow while all my neighbors’ houses had almost no snow on the roofs. I highly recommend Stinson Services.

I contracted Stinson to reroof my house, new addition and garage. Like any project involving and older house (1950s rambler in my case), you encounter other issues as you work the job. I was very glad to be working with Stinson because they were able to address these matters due to the wide range of services they provide. This would likely not have been possible had I contracted a simple roofing-only company.From their salesperson, who was very technically knowledgeable, to the project management, and especially the technicians on the job, everyone was on the ball, highly qualified, friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend them for any work in their areas of expertise.

Can’t say enough about Stinson Services! After multiple hail storms in Bloomington, our insurance adjuster kept saying we had minimal hail damage and tried to close our claim. I called out Stinson Services and the consultant (Dave) found all sorts of hail damage, and not just to my roof. He also showed me how my roof decking gaps were unsuitable for shingle replacement. He arranged another site inspection with a team of adjusters on our roof; showed them all the evidence of damage; and we obtained coverage for full replacement of our roof decking, shingles, skylights, and gutters. I was impressed when the crew (led by Hector) came out ahead of time to meet and ask us about the care of our property, pets, etc. They worked a long day, were timely and professional, and repaired our old, sagging garage roof before installing new shingles. They even sent a skilled master carpenter (Brent) to ensure the new skylights looked perfect from the inside. I steered them to three other satisfied neighbors from now on, we will call Stinson Services first!

My wife and I decided that it was time to replace the roof, siding and insulation in our home. The home was a foreclosure and still had the original shingles and cedar siding from 1986. Needless to say, this was going to be an expensive project. I got quotes from a few contractors, including Stinson Services Inc. By far, Stinson Services were among the better quotes we had and they were associated with the company I work for through a system called MERCS. After talking with Ryan for a while, my wife and I decided to use Stinson Services for the job. During the process, the siding professionals showed up on time in the morning and left around 5 pm every weekday. It was nice to know that they respected our time and didnt work late into the night. The siding professionals were very helpful with little features I wanted to add or had questions about. The roofers seemed like they were never there, since they finished the 3000 ft^2 roof in a couple of days.Overall, Stinson Services treated us with respect and stood behind their work. Eric, the foreman, helped take care of any problems that came up and informed us about material delivery dates, project status updates and anything that we would need to know about. My wife and I would do business with them again in a heartbeat! If you’re reading this Ryan, I think the next project might be a stamped concrete patio.....would love to talk about that soon!

Did my roof this year, awesome company. Stinson did my cousins home (roof, siding) in 2017. We love to refer them as they always come up big. Worked with my insurance company and was aggressive at getting my roof done and covered. Initially my insurance only felt I had minor damage, Stinson met them at my house twice and was able to get my entire roof covered. Mike was great as my main contact, as was the entire crew.

It was reported to us mid-summer time frame, that we had major roof damage from hail and a winter that Im hoping will not return anytime soon. To make things interesting for us, Im on a waiting list for a condo, that we hope to move to when it becomes available. I needed a lot of professional help, and reached out to a number of companies in the beginning looking for just that. Stinson Services was the only company that talked about the warranty and how it works, before and after the sell. I guess the other company dont offer a warranty ?ReviewSales painted an accurate picture of the work that needed to be done. Including knowledge on how the whole insurance process takes shape. I appreciated the fact that he took extra time to help me understand what I needed to know, and more importantly help me make good decisions along the way. I felt comfortable asking a lot of question, because he was a good listener. His roof inspection was right on target with the insurance inspector.AdministrationCommunication at this level was exceptional time in and time again including emails and phone support. Stinson experience working with the insurance company saved me a lot of time and money. One example is the flashing on my chimney needing to be updated. I expected to pay this expense out of pocket; it wasnt listed on the original claim form. Fortunately for me their documentation, with Pictures taken on site saved my family over a thousand dollars! Later during the product selection time, I used another one of their services that help me choose the right colors for my home. They use a projector and screen, and have software that can show sliding, roofing color differences. Very Cool indeedServiceI received a call from my project manager, about a meeting that was going to be schedule for a home site review. As I understand it an opportunity for sales, service and who ever is assigned to the project to get on the same page. Wonderful Service again, being offered. My wife was home during the time when the Stinson crew arrived. She noted right away, the crew was wearing Stinson shirts. I was away on business, and its hard for her being home alone some times. She mentioned the crew was not shouting at each other, and keeping it professional at all times. Unfortunately we have had problems like this in the past with crews that get carried away verbally. The site manager moved five (5) or Six (6) flower pots out of harm way including a very expensive water fountain. I cant tell you how much I appreciated this thoughtful Jester. I was sent pictures of the final job, and with that in mind, I had to take a look myself. We bought a house in Bloomington in Oct 2011. The next summer we need to make a lot changes to the House. We had contacted many different contractors. My wife had called Ryan with Stinson Services. The one thing I really like about Ryan was he was honest and not pushy. I had told him we had a few contractors to talk to and it did not seem to bother.So after about week later we called Ryan back we had decided to to use him and his company. Ryan can back out and we went all details. We where going to replace all windows and all the siding. We had wanted to try a new product that was vinyl and looked like river rock. We wanted to put is at the bottom below the windows. The we would use Steel siding for the rest of the house. I have to tell you Ryan, Eric and there crew did a such a great job. I was so impressed that we decided to replace the driveway and garage. It all came out so good, It does not even look like the the place we had bought. Everyone at Stinson was very kind and helpful. I chose Stinson to take care of my attic insulation and air sealing. They had Mark come out and do an assessment of the attic and within a matter of weeks they were up doing the work.So far our home feels much more accurate to what the thermostat says. No more feeling cold even though the thermostat reads 68 degrees. I initially thought about blowing in the insulation myself, until I realized that theres a lot more to it than just putting in insulation. Im really happy I chose these guys.

We had hail damage to our roof, gutters and windows. Ryan was great in explaining the entire process and working with our insurance company. The roof and gutters were put on last fall and look fabulous - we were very happy with the job they did and the cleanup. The window sashes have to be custom made and will be put in early this summer.When we had a lot of rain over the weekend we had an issue with water leakage where the new downspouts connected to our existing drainage tubes. I called Ryan Monday morning and he had Jared at our house by noon and Jared had someone there that afternoon and it was taken care of and looked great.We couldnt be happier with the service and work that Stinson Services has provided us and would recommend them to anyone. Project pla ning was organized and smooth, work was done on time and quality. At all stages the team was prompt, professional and courteous. The Stinson salesman, Jim Anderson, made this happen. Weve been trying to convince State Farm that we needed an entire roof for TWO YEARS after a storm hit us. No other salesperson was as tenacious as Jim.I would have given these guys five stars but I was a little disappointed in the scheduling of the project and the amount of nails around the house after they were done. That said however, Thor Josefson worked with me to get the nails cleaned up and they made up for the scheduling conflict.Bottom line; weve never worked with such a professional and amenable contractor. I highly recommend them, with the caveat that you get in writing all that each party will do. Im sure the pros at Stinson will work with you on this where others wouldnt comply.

I found out from the sales manager that the previous company forgot to do that for some unknown reason. Our gutters were installed by Stinson Services in 2015. We noticed on the front side of our house, the rain was running over the gutters and beginning to leave an imprint on our driveway. Thor was quick to respond to our inquiry and Hector came out to check out what was going on. Turns out the gutter guard was lifted up against the house. Hector fixed this, cleaned up the stain that had started on the gutters because of the run-over and added a bracket to one of the downspouts in the back that was starting to bow out. She immediately sent me a job estimate and after I agreed to have them do the work, she arranged to have Hector come out the NEXT day (RARER). We are so happy with the work Stinson recently did on our home. We needed an old, leaky, no-longer-in-use furnace exhaust removed, a leaky sewer vent sealed up, and a loose bathroom fan vent that was pumping steam into our attic reattached. Stinson sent out Brent to do the job, and we are so incredibly grateful they did! Brent was professional, personable, knowledgeable, talented, and clearly explained everything he was doing. He kept in constant contact with me to keep us up-to-date on the timeline, and I never felt left in the dark about when the job would get done. (I was also a complete nervous wreck about our roof/attic when he first came out, and he took the time to answer and address my millions of questions and concerns, which cooled down my nerves.) Weve always liked Stinson, but Brent is truly a great asset to the Stinson team, and hes sealed the deal for us--now, we will ALWAYS choose Stinson! He exceeded our expectations and went above and beyond to make sure everything was done right and that the right materials were used (whoever put the roof together before about 15 years ago cut corners, which is what led to the leaking), and I feel so relieved knowing that things have finally been done right. The people were quick to respond to my inquiry and all them were polite and professional. My roof was developing ice dams and I felt that improper ventilation of the attic space was to blame. They confirmed this assumption and showed me where the problems were. They suggested solutions including redistributing the existing insulation, adding some insulation, sealing any leaks from the ceiling and adding vents. The price was right and the work was done well. The workers took care to keep the house as clean as they could and worked swiftly and efficiently. They were friendly and willing to explain other things that I could do to improve my home. I should start by saying Stinson has a wonderful culture of lovely people doing high quality work. From my first phone call with Heidi to our wrap-up today, everyone just shined - theyve created a terrific company!When we got a bit stuck deciding color for our siding, Heidi sent us several images of our house with different options, which helped us choose exactly the look we wanted. Aaron managed our project with great spirit. The site stayed neat (which was hard to do, when youre tearing off 60-year-old shingles), and Ryan was always available for questions. We did get delayed a bit (weather and other issues), but all-in-all, Id use them again in a heartbeat.

When we bought our house a year ago, our inspector said that we needed more insulation in our attic spaces. I called SSI and Mark came out to give us an estimate. However, he found that we had much more insulation than our inspector told us and that it was in fact up to the current code. He suggested checking back in a few years to see if the code amount of insulation changes, but for now to save our money. We really appreciated his honesty. I would definitely recommend SSI.

I contacted Stinson Services along with several other contractors when I needed a roof replaced due to storm damage. Upon initially speaking them, I was impressed with their professionalism and helpfulness. After meeting them I was convinced that Stinson Services was the contractor I was going with. Being out of the metro area, Ryan devoted the better part of a day helping me work through the details of the project and work with my insurance adjuster to make sure my best interests were represented. Ryan walked me through the process to get the project going. The quality of the work was excellent, I never found a single nail or staple in my yard following the roofwork and the roof looks good and more importantly is sound. Communication during and after the project could have been slightly better, but I attribute this to it being in the heart of roofing seaon and it being difficult to allocate time. In the end it really did not affect the success of the project. All in all, I would highly recommend Stinson Services. Very trust-worthy, knowledgeble, and friendly.
