In 2018, we purchased a house built in 1799 that needed a lot of TLC. We brought in Figueiredo Carpenter and Builder to assess the situation and make the necessary repairs to insure that the structure would last another 200-years. Given the challenges of dealing with unknowns in repairing an historic house (you never know what needs to be done until you open it up), Tom Figueiredo set up an process for us that was very fair, affordable, and expertly took care of what needed to be done. Along the way, he kept us in the loop and always checked with us before starting a new phase.. He also impressed us with his incredible master carpenter skills and his knowledge of historic structural and design details. All work was completed in a timely manner. Having grown up in an old home and having worked with many builders restoring three historic homes over the last 46 years, we can honestly say that Tom Figueiredo is by far the best carpenter/builder we have ever hired to restore our antique homes. We would rate him six-stars out of five if we could.
