    Eli and Donna are a dream to work with! We had a house fire in 2021 where we needed to rebuild our entire home. The moment we met Eli and Donna we knew we wanted to work with them. They were professional, came in at a good price point and were highly recommended by our family. Our house looks great, and Eli + team were able to rebuild our entire home within 7 months! Donna was great at walking us through floor plan options and working through our design details to really bring our home to life. I would 100% recommend Eli and Donna to anyone. They get the job done and do a beautiful job.

    Eli and Donna renovated our dream home in South Pasadena, California. We initially went through an architect and had contacted few contractors but were disheartened. We saw the board of Quality first builders in our neighbourhood and just walked there. We met the team working there and just liked the vibe and felt comfortable right away and felt that our search was over. Quality first builders did major renovation of our house, knocking down a wall, open the kitchen, 4 bathrooms, plumbing, floors, HVAC system, practically the whole house renovation. Eli and his whole team is very professional, responsible, and approachable. Eli was very transparent in all communications. Anytime we called Eli or Donna, we got a response promptly. Donna’s expertise in interior designing was a huge help. She always guided us through the process, made valuable suggestions, connected to different vendors and was always there to help. Our project got finished in a very timely manner. Eli and his team were very responsible even after the project was over. Whenever we found some issues, he sent his team members right away to fix it. We felt that Donna and Eli were holding our hands and walking us through the process and making it easy at every step. I will not hesitate even a bit to hire them again for any of my future projects.     I had the pleasure of working with GC Eli and his talented interior designer partner, Donna, on the construction of our 1200 sqft ADU, and I couldnt be more thrilled with the results. From the very beginning, Eli showcased an impressive level of knowledge and expertise in the field. He approached every aspect of the project with a solutions-oriented mindset and helped make the process really smooth from start to finish. Elis reliability, trustworthiness, and professionalism were crucial for helping make the entire construction process go smoothly. We built during the pandemic, which created all kinds of issues outside of our control (supply chain issues, delays from the city, etc.) but he handled them all like a champ. He consistently exceeded our expectations with his attention to detail and commitment to quality work.Donna, Elis interior designer partner, was an invaluable resource in helping us select the perfect finishes for our ADU. Her keen eye for design and ability to understand our vision ensured that our living space turned out even better than we had imagined. Together, Eli and Donna make an great team, and their dedication to our project was evident every step of the way. I also want to give a shout out to Carlos, who was a rockstar foreman. He was reliable on site and had impeccable attention to detail. We are absolutely thrilled with the end result, and I wholeheartedly endorse Eli and Donna for anyone looking to undertake a construction project. They delivered on their promised timeline and high level of quality, and we couldnt be happier with our beautiful finished project.

    They say the best thing to do is to buy the worst house in the best neighborhood you can find and remodel it. Which is true, and exactly what we did. But as first time homebuyers, and first time home remodelers, we were very nervous about taking on a full house remodel which is incredibly daunting and ultimately depends on the quality of the general contractor. Horror stories abound about contractors lying to their clients, going over budget, blowing past deadlines, and taking advantage of people who have very limited knowledge of construction related issues and norms. Thankfully, we found Eli at Quality First Builders, as well as his wife Donna from Moderna Design. Eli explained all the details to us up front in a series of collaborative meetings, helped us understand the things we were ignorant of, and worked with us to tailor our wants and needs to our budget. Although his bid was slightly higher than some others we solicited, the extra cost was more than made up for in the higher quality of the craftsmanship, the detailed work orders, the rigid adherence to our timeline, thorough documentation of the work and inspections, the willingness to educate us and answer our questions, and the fact that included in the price is the expertise of his wife Donna who sourced all of our finishes, appliances, paint and floor colors, tile, and fixtures. Her participation was critical in keeping us on time and handling all the details that would have taken us forever to figure out on our own. (And, she is a total sweetheart.) Eli and his team, including Walter and Wilder at the job site, Maryssa in the office, and all the subcontractors, took on a huge project and delivered the house of our dreams, on time and on budget. A complete, down to the studs, gut and remodel of a kitchen, laundry room, and two bathrooms, with a new roof, new windows and doors, new plumbing and sewer line, new electrical, foundation repair, stucco and exterior paint, interior paint, new air conditioning and heater, and on and on and on. Plus Eli recommended many things to us which we never would have thought of like under cabinet lighting in the kitchen, semi-custom cabinetry to give our kitchen the total custom look, recessed lighting throughout the house with dimmers, a tankless water heater, and a reorganization of our master bath to maximize its usefulness. As with any project this large, there were some difficult decisions, unexpected hiccups, and setbacks along the way. Eli handled everything we, and the house, threw at him with honesty, professionalism, and a can-do attitude that put us at ease. The day we moved in was a dream come true and every day in the house since has been a blessing. The pictures speak for themselves. We couldn’t be happier … and his wife Donna is amazing

    We worked with Quality First Builders on our ADU project and were so pleased with their work that we had them remodel our kitchen after. Eli and Donna make a fantastic, complementary team. Eli is very knowledgeable and always provided options when challenges arose. Donna has a keen eye for design, offering design ideas while trying to implement our vision. The crew was amazing - always prompt, communicative, and kept the construction area very clean and organized. We would highly recommend Quality First Builders!

    My wife and I had a great experience with Eli and Donna. They did an extensive remodel of our kitchen/dining area, as well as one bathroom, and they created a small laundry room. All are in a contemporary style; Donna has a great eye and can do many other styles as well. Our beautiful kitchen also functions beautifully. If you’re willing to pay somewhat more and want to feel afterwards that it was worth doing so, then I recommend them highly! Their level of service is very high, fixing anything that isn’t quite right. You won’t have to worry about communication between your designer and contractor, because they’re a couple.Eli expresses his opinions strongly but accepting if you make your desires clear, and he’s always trustworthy and honest. Again, highly recommended!

    Eli and his team were fantastic to work with. My wife and I talked to about six contractors before going with Eli. He wasnt the least expensive bid, nor the most expensive but definitely worth every penny. Remodeling anything has its set of stressors but Eli and his wife, Donna did everything they could to make everything straightforward and efficient. As long as youre up front with your expectations, Eli and his team will meet them and exceed them. Communication is key to any job like this and Eli will do everything he can to make the job painless as possible. Sometimes, not always painless on your wallet but in those situations its a necessary evil to have something done right the first time.Our kitchen turned out amazing and couldnt be happier with how it looks. Even Eli cant stop talking about the backsplash we picked. Props to Donna on the design help with everything too!if you need a contractor, I highly suggest just talking with Eli to get input or a quote or for him to do the job.

    Eli and his team did an amazing job on the upstairs renovation of our 1927 Spanish style bungalow. We changed the interior layout, removed a load bearing beam, updated a bath, and added a second bath and closet. The new layout makes our small space seem larger. Donna helped us design the baths and wow, they are so luxurious, even in a small footprint. Everything fits the space perfectly and the tile work is beyond beautiful. We get so many compliments.Everything about our old house is a bit wonky, which didn’t phase Eli at all. Eli and Donna did an incredible job updating the space while helping us keep the original charm. They were so easy to work with and they took care of every little detail. They coordinated purchases and deliveries to perfection, they helped us navigate code inspection issues, their crew kept the construction sight tidy, and the water was on for us every night when we got home. The cost estimates were clear and we didn’t have any last minute surprises. Also, Eli, Donna, and their whole team are just really nice, conscientious people. This was absolutely not our experience with a prior renovation.We could not be happier with our new old house. Now, we’re thinking about an ADU and I wouldn’t trust the project to anyone else. Not only because I trust the quality of the work, but I also trust the project management. If you’re worried about the stress and chaos of construction, Eli is your guy. 10/10 recommend.

    I can’t believe how efficient this team was. We had a pipe break, a flooded kitchen and gym, and a baby on the way. Our house was a nightmare of code violations and weird choices the previous owner made (the pipes were mostly not in the walls, running through closets and cabinets) they re-plumbed our entire house in 5 days. All told from start of demolition to us moving back into the house was only three months. I know people who have had the same happen and been out of their homes for over a year.The communication, the quality of the work, the professionalism and skills of everyone on this team are exemplary. And even with the speed of it, the finished result is beautiful and perfectly executed. They will be the first people I call when we need future updates (replacing those original 1967 single pane windows for a start.)They are not cheap, however thats because they are upfront and don’t hide costs from you, and Eli will discuss your options and work with you for the best outcome.I will be recommending Quality 1st to ANYONE who needs home repair/renovation.

    Just finished a complete renovation with Eli from quality first builders. Scope included; kitchen remodel, 3 bathrooms, flooring, painting, Hardscape, etc. We found their company along with several others online. After meeting with everyone we narrowed it down to 2 companies and I think what sold us the most on choosing QFB was the fact that we received the interior design help from Donna which was very very helpful! And we also liked how Eli is detail oriented. The project went smoothly and even faster than what we expected. We are very excited to enjoy our new home and will be referring them for sure!
