The front living room window was replaced by LandMark, and my experience was excellent from start to finish! LandMark was one of three companies I obtained an estimate to do this job. My criteria were as follows and not necessarily in any order:1. People- Greg G. (salesman) was personable, kind and professional. You immediately get a feeling that you want to work with him. I get its a personal preference, but I connected with him.- The office staff was communicative during the entire process: contract signing, ordering of windows, scheduling of install, and post install communications.- The owners came out for final measurements after acceptance of the contract. They answered my questions and were very pleasant to interact with.- The installers, Nazar and his partner(forgot his name, sorry), were professional, considerate of the property, and very personable. Once completed with the install, they cleaned up, went through the window operation, collected payment, and were on their way.2. Knowledge- Greg G.s knowledge surpassed the typical salesman from the other companies because he is experienced in the industry as an installer and former business owner. He pointed out to me the need for tempered glass based on the size of the window and its proximity to the ground, even explaining the history behind the code! The other two companies failed to even mention this, and when I called one of them out on it, they acknowledged they should have known that...3. Online Reviews- The reviews across all three companies were fairly similar and nothing really stood out that brought me pause to select LandMark.4. Price- LandMark was the most competitive estimate, although the others provided financing. I didnt see value in the financing option to justify paying more. Payment was half down at contract signing and balance on completion of work.5. Willingness to to do a relatively small job- Most window replacements are for the whole house to get the best price. LandMark didnt hesitate to take on my job and get me the best price. Others commented on the size, or lack thereof, of the job and said theyll try to get me the best price, asking me if there was anything else that needed to be replaced, thats a turnoff.6. Workmanship- Im handy and have installed windows and doors, and I know the difference between quality and hack work. LandMarks attention to detail and workmanship hit the marks, without question. Windows open and close with ease, so I know it was a square install. The installer anticipated I was going to ask about the condition of the frame and had taken a picture to show me what it looked like! The caulk job is great! Ive seen installs where the caulk job looks like a 3rd grader did it. When you are paying thousands of dollars, this detail matters.Overall, a well-deserved 5-star rating.

We had a great experience with LandMark Exteriors. There was a storm damage on one of our windows and the company promptly inspected it, and provided us with an estimate. The price was reasonable and the service was prompt and excellent. We highly recommend LandMark Exteriors.

I had my patio door and windows replaced with Marvin. Outstanding service from start to finish. Installation went as promised with great attention to detail, including all my interior touch up painting! I would highly recommend their service.

Im surprised that Landmark is listed only as a door supplier in Barrington, since we used them for replacing all of our lower level windows (7 total)! Just wanted to submit this review to let others know how pleased we were with the quality of service and actual work that they provided for us. Mike Kerr, their sales rep, was the reason that we ended up choosing Landmark. A carpenter himself, he was able to answer all of our questions (and we probably had more than most people do...) and also made some great suggestions about what might work better with different trims and stains. His attention to all of the details was amazing. Over the course of choosing our Anderson windows, the installation and the final approval, Im sure we met everyone of the employees at Landmark and were pleased with every interaction we had. The quality of the installation by Richie and his crew was incredible! We plan on using them again. A great local business doing outstanding quality work !
