We first started working with D&G in May of 2023 when we were gathering bids for our whole-home remodel. D&G stood out to us immediately for their professionalism, knowledge, friendliness and process. Now, 11 months later, we are preparing to move back into an absolutely stunning home. In reflecting back on this entire experience, we find it hard to put into words just how grateful we feel for choosing and trusting D&G with our family home. The trades they brought in are absolute masters of their craft. Corners were never cut and any issues were addressed and fixed immediately. They kept to the timeline and even got us back into our house weeks before the projected end date despite some setbacks. D&G does it right and does it well, and we can’t wait to work with them again in the future for a basement remodel.

We are so in love with our kitchen! We chose D&G after meeting with other remodel companies Because it was a one stop shop. We did not have to meet with different vendors at different locations in order to pick our finishes. This is the company for you if you are looking for clear communication, a quality product and ease of understanding how the project will flow. We did not pick them because they were the lowest bid, we chose D&G because of the highest quality of workmanship.Throughout our project, there was oversight from D&G over all the trades, ensuring scheduling, productivity and quality work. We never wondered if the people in our home were doing what they were supposed to be doing, it was clear production. Darren was amazing to work with. Darren is on site throughout our project for quality check-in and to ensure our project was executed according to plan. He himself was able to catch items that needed to be fixed or updated and it was never a question of timing or who needed to get the task done, it was always understood quality was the most important goal. This remodel was to improve our familys functionality and flow in our home. We ended up with amazing storage; great movement for our family and guest throughout our dining room and kitchen; and a beautiful product worth sharing! We recommend D&G with praise and gratitude for improving our familys quality of life. This is your company if you want ease and satisfaction!!

Weve worked with many contractors in the past, and D&G was by far the best experience and highest quality work. They are a small but mighty team that truly means and delivers on what they say they will. It felt like a true partnership! We worked with them to redo our main floor including new hardwood floors, kitchen, mudroom and fireplace. Beyond being thrilled with the result, D&G had incredibly strong communication, managed through all supply chain issues with vendors, ensured sub contractors had proper direction (so we didnt have to lift a finger), and were clear on financial obligations and timing.

Worked with D&G for a large renovation project, including taking down a wall, replacing floors throughout upstairs and downstairs, and installing a fully new kitchen and appliances.Pros:Overall - I highly recommend D&G. We are very happy with the end product and love our newly renovated home. A strong highlight of D&G was their initial design & bid process; they paid a lot of attention to what we wanted and provided really thorough documentation with great 3D renderings. They also communicated very frequently and kept us in the loop via the CoConstruct app. The wood flooring they installed is fantastic and they did an excellent job matching it with the Vinyl downstairs. We love all of the cabinets and appliances, which are very nicely installed (level, flush, no gaps, etc.) Another big positive is that they delivered exactly on the schedule they said they would. Very appreciative of that.Cons:Ill say up front that there is no such thing as undertaking a project like this without some hiccups along the way. We had to go back and forth about leveling the basement floor several times. It took a lot of pushing before D&G tried to fix it and its still sloped at the corners. There are a few minor issues like flecks of paint on the windows and lighting fixtures; nail pops still obvious after repair, and some lumps/blobs in the new wall paint.Still giving 5 stars because I dont think anybody else could have done a better job. I highly recommend D&G overall. It was a big 12-week project and they delivered a great result on schedule. We are delighted with our new home!

We had D&G add a bedroom/bathroom in our basement. They were terrific! They finished before schedule and it looks amazing. Everyone was super professional. The D&G staff was so helpful, particularly Darren, Jody and Melinda. We hit a few random hiccups and they were so quick to respond and address the issue. Overall my experience with D&G construction was great. I highly recommend them.

We met with a few contractors, but D&G really wowed us initially with their approach. Ive built a house in the past and had a project manager who was not on top of detail and it was a painful and labor intensive process from my side to get what I wanted. With D&G the team was on top of it from the initial presentation to the final touches. They have a very prescribed approach and dedicated personnel. Big shout out to Dave, Maddy, Terri, Laine, and Darren as well as all of their sub-contractors who did top notch work.Our overall process took almost a year from the first meeting, to laying out designs and agreeing on all sides to what we wanted. The actual construction process was approximately 4 months (Dec 1 to March 31). This included an entire demolition of a finished basement and rebuild from the concrete up for approximately 1,500 square feet.Darren and team were fantastic almost the entire way through. 98% of the project ran extremely smoothly and the few hiccups we had we were able to work through generally to my satisfaction.They are definitely not the cheapest game in town but if you want to hire a contractor and get the job done right without having to micro-manage everything, this is your team. Ive heard multiple horror stories from neighbors and friends about construction projects and companies that are just downright dishonest and dont produce quality work. D&G stands out in terms of their work ethic, attention to detail, management of subcontractors, and final quality delivery.Our project turned out EXACTLY how we wanted it and completed on time, based on a timeline they provided 2 months before construction even started!Couldnt be happier with the end result and weve already knocked the socks off everyone who has come by to enjoy our new basement!

2021 Basement Finish. D&G had a great staff and excellent plans for our basement. We had ideas and plans of our own, but asked for Darrens expert opinions. We ended up changing a few things around and were super happy with the end product. Construction in your home for months is never easy or fun, but D&G did their best to keep things on track and progressing forward. Were very happy with the end result and would recommend D&G for your basement finish.

I have done several renovation projects in my home but this was the first time using D&G to add a bedroom and full bathroom in our unfinished basement. They did an awesome job.They were extremely professional, provided regular communication including weekly status updates, and we were really happy with the finished product. They were not the cheapest contractor who we got a bid from, but I thought their pricing was fair and the flat fee (as opposed to estimates that are constantly changing) ended up being great as there were no surprises.I would absolutely recommend them for work in your house. We did a full main level remodel of our living room, dining room, study and a complete overhaul of our kitchen. We also changed the front door and painted the entire interior and exterior of the house. It was a huge project with lots of moving parts. This is the second project we have used D&G for, after they did an amazing job on a complete basement renovation. We couldnt be happier with the result. From the design process to the final walk-through, we had great communication from our project manager on time-lines, working being done weekly and check-ins to make sure everything was running smoothly.The end-result is nothing less than extraordinary. The kitchen design is cutting edge and timeless at the same time. The design maximized the use of the space and really turned into a gourmet chefs kitchen. The living room with new floors, a shiplap fireplace wall, a new modern electric fireplace and an oversized mantel really upgraded the space.The best thing about Darren and the D&G team is their customer service. Any time we had a small change or something we didnt feel was quite right they really listened and did their best to find a solution. Even in a time of Covid and supply chain issues, they really pushed to stay on the project timeline.We are looking to do a master bathroom overhaul in the next couple of years. I wouldnt think of using anyone else. From design, quality of materials, quality of craftsmanship and customer service, D&G really is the gold standard.

I am not typically a review writer, but I felt it necessary to tell people about my incredible experience with D&G Construction. I feel like in todays world, finding a trustworthy contractor who will actually follow through with what they promise on the front side, is incredibly difficult to do. I was fortunate enough to find D&G and was blown away with the service and finished product I received. They took my “Cookie Cutter” house and gave it the perfect Custom finish. I was extremely impressed with the trades they have. Each trade that came in for each of the projects were all very polite, very conscientious of my house, and very meticulous in all they did. My experience from the design stage to the day of completion was more seamless than I could have ever imagined. I interviewed a couple different contractors for my project, some of which were quite a bit cheaper than D&G, BUT I chose D&G due to the knowledge they demonstrated in our walk through, and even more for the attention they gave to me as I was making my decision. I felt as though I was their only customer, which made me confident that they would give me exactly what they said. I am so glad I chose to go with the D&G team. They have a customer for life.

D&G finished our basement and the end result was nothing less than exceptional. I lost count as to how many compliments I have received about my finished basement. To begin, Darren took my sketch of what I wanted and he genuinely listened to what I wanted. He returned a few days later with his design which was professional drawn and far exceeded my expectations. His ideas were great! He began two weeks later as scheduled and with the exception of just a few days, his crews worked diligently for the two months which followed. Note, there was a lot of details in my basement. Darren was meticulous, available, prompt, communicative and made sure his contractors did an excellent job. I have nothing but praise for D&G and now, I get to enjoy a wonderful basement.

We just completed an extremely smooth and successful basement finish with Darren and team. The end result is better than I could have expected -- very high quality, great design, perfect utilization of the space, etc. Every member of the D&G team was amazing throughout the project -- from office staff, finance, design, field team and subs -- all were extremely professional and knowledgeable. I was pleasantly surprised by the timely and consistent communication throughout the project. I knew what was happening, when and by whom at all times. When changes or issues arose, a plan or resolution was put into place same-day. Darren runs a tight ship and that translates to a pleasant experience for the homeowner. We are planning to work with D&G again on another project within the year!

We opted to have D&G do our remodel because (1) they answered our inquiry promptly, and (2) they were reasonably priced for Boulder, with no hidden costs. Darren is friendly and had some great ideas for our space. He was very hands on and did some of the work himself. Remodeling is always painful, but we appreciated the customer service D&G provided and the direct line to our project manager (Miranda -- she is wonderful!). Some of the not-so-great things included a changeover in staff early in the project (we started with a different project manager), the rushed selection process for the finishes in the space (only 2 hours to select everything from cabinet colors to paint to countertops to faucets), and the lack of regular communication about our project during the staff changeover. In general, we are very pleased with how the remodel turned out, and we know that D&G will stand by their work. If we had to do it again, we would choose D&G.

It wasnt in our budget to completely remove a load bearing wall separating our kitchen and living room, but they were able to open the wall up, and create a sort of fake island for us. It made the whole first floor feel like the open floor plan we wanted and brought in so much natural light to the kitchen. We have gotten nothing but compliments about how the house feels completely different (in a good way!).They did an amazing job really understanding exactly what we wanted and making it a reality. The crew was always awesome and their work was really high quality. Every single space in our kitchen feels functional and intentional, but its also gorgeous!

The entire staff was timely in their responses, very professional and friendly. D&G is the gold standard for basement remodels!From the beginning consultation to the final walk-through, they went above and beyond to deliver our wishlist on budget. Darrens expertise and attention to detail is impeccable, and his support staff is top notch. We converted a cookie cutter basement will small rooms, to an open concept basement, with wet bar, media room, ping pong game area, and custom built finishes including a sport memorabilia wall, with custom glass shelves for footballs. We remodeled the basement bathroom while we were down there. Its now the best bathroom in the house. I really cant say enough... they delivered our basement ahead of schedule, on budget, and it turned out better than I ever dreamed.The biggest compliment I can give is that we didnt even really feel like we were going through a remodel. They made the process so easy and the results were so good, we are already thinking about our next project with D&G!

We recently worked with D&G to complete a kitchen remodel. The overall experience was a good one with a few seemingly common construction hiccups along the way.Pros:-We shopped around companies and found D&G to be the most reasonable price for the level of service we were seeking (turn-key)!-D&G design team was SO helpful in framing our project, onboarding us to the process, and making us feel comfortable and confident in our selections.-Scheduling and logistics were clear and everything was executed on time, if not early.-Individual contractors on the project, particularly the carpenter (Kevin) were so great to work with during times of stress (see: cons), patiently walking us through options for resolving issues encountered.-End product is beautiful and we are so happy with our new kitchen!Cons:-During the project, there were times where we noticed things werent being done as planned and when we raised them to the superintendent, they were often dismissed/initially met with resistance, and deflecting blame.This was stressful for us, as it was our first renovation project and we hadnt expected so much back and forth and negotiation for correcting mistakes that had been made.In summary, were very happy with the outcome and would recommend D&G!

We had a great experience with D&G renovating our basement! Darren and the team were excellent to work with and guided us smoothly through the whole process, from initial design consult to final quality inspections/walk-throughs. They listened to our ideas and desires for the basement, made some great suggestions, then put together a plan that we were thrilled with. They stuck to the budget and schedule that they laid out for us up front, and the end result was a basement space that we love spending time in now with home theater, wet bar, and gym. I was very pleased by D&G work quality and professionalism.We did a very big project ($100K+) in my basement, and things progressed smoothly end to end: from the design to actual construction to dealing with unexpected changes.Obviously, we had some bumps as you would expect with a large project but the team were very responsive and always took responsibility for any issues we pointed out. Darren (the owner) took full ownership when things went off track, and personally made sure everything was completed to standards. D&G maintains high standards and they demand the same from their own contractors. Communications were clear and prompt through the Construction app they use with their customers.Overall, a wonderful experience working with the D&G team, and I would recommend it to anyone planning major construction work if you dont want to deal with the headaches of major projects.

D&G was great to work with for our first big renovation project. We worked with them to redo our entire first floor, and they made the process smooth. In a COVID world of material delays, they thought ahead and waited to demo until all the materials were in their warehouse, meaning we never had significant delays. The work they did is beautiful, and even when minor issues did arise due to subcontractors painting rooms the wrong color, for example, they were quick to get them back out and put things right. We had communication through the whole process with multiple people, including Darren (the owner), and the in house designer Maddie was always open to helping me make selections. Having her there to give me 3 or 4 options to pick from in our price range really helped the decision making process and she had great ideas. Terri was our project manager and she was great, she made us feel very in the loop and even made best friends with our dog. I would recommend them and will use them again if we ever have another project!

D&G gutted and remodeled our entire main floor living space including tearing out walls and moving ductwork. Our project improvements included new flooring, new cabinets and countertops, lighting and fixtures, replacing a wood burning fireplace with a gas fireplace, new bathroom, custom shelving, and new doors and windows.D&G provided a turnkey process from design to finish. Their project software allowed for real time communication of project updates and responses to issues as they arose.Darren, D&Gs owner, was involved from the start to the finish of the project. His work ethic and standard for high quality work from his staff and his subcontractors made our new home space a success.

We spent a good amount of time interviewing different contractors and designers, and ultimately chose D&G for several reasons: 1) we liked their design style (clean and modern), 2) they had an in house design team that worked hand in hand with the construction team, and 3) they were confident they could hit the completion date they proposed. But after working with them for a while, we realized that it was the team itself that was the differentiator. Everyone that we worked with was friendly, knowledgable, and treated our home like it was theirs. D&G was not the cheapest, and maybe not the fastest of the options we considered, but we are completely happy with working with them because of the reasons I listed above. I would recommended them to any of my friends, family and colleagues.
