    We could not recommend Oscar and his team more!! He is highly professional and responsive. His teams work is quick and high quality. We initially had them repair and face our outer retaining wall with stone. We loved their work so much we hired them for a second larger project - completely redoing our backyard/front yard. They added a stone patio, dug out and built a new retaining wall, created a pea gravel side yard, front pathways, AND laid sod. They have completely transformed our backyard and we could not be more grateful! We will always be using AH Construction for any future construction needs.

    AH is an AMAZING company! Our house was built in 1940; the sump pump went out and the crawl space was not accessible. We had to gut the kitchen to get to it. When the subfloors came out, it exposed that Larry, Joe, and Curly had installed the joists, they tumbled like dominoes. Oscar and his crew removed everything, dug a dump truck load of dirt out of the crawl space, dropped the access door on the perimeter of the house so that it is now accessible. Their work is solid and we no longer have a floor that slants an inch and a half across the room. It was a huge mess they pulled out but they cleaned everything up. They are courteous, professional, genuine and kind people. Their pricing is beyond reasonable!! I will always use them for home projects and refer to anyone needing knowledgeable, trustworthy construction solutions. Thank you, Oscar! You and your crew are super heroes!

    The absolute best!!! AH replaced a bunch of my siding and repaired a water damaged exterior closet/replaced the door. The crew assessed exactly what needed to be done and repaired every spot on the exterior of my house that needed it in record time. They perfectly matched the siding and paint color, and they even hauled away an old dishwasher for me that Id been needing to get rid of. This was easily the most respectful crew I have ever encountered, they left my yard perfectly clean when they finished for the day, the quality of the work was impeccable, and the guys all were so professional and polite. Their pricing is reasonable and Oscar is overall such a kind, genuine, honest person. This was an excellent experience, I cant thank these guys enough! Id been hoping to find a go-to guy for my home projects and Im so grateful to have found him! I have some more projects coming up that Im looking forward to hiring them on again, I wouldnt even consider calling anyone else!

I have used them on my own home multiple times -- including installing new flooring, tearing down an interior wall, building a new deck, creating a concrete trash pad, and adding structural support in my foundation.     Oscar Herrara (owner) and his crews are fabulous and terrific to work with. We have referred AH Construction to many clients over the past several years and they have always been thrilled with their services so I was delighted to recently have their crews work for me personally! They did a fabulous job on a kitchen and bathroom remodel, including structural work with wall removals, that included beam and footing installations. I highly highly recommend them as they are reliable, swift, professional, responsive and well priced - high calibre across the board. The crews are hard working, friendly and dedicated to excellence and I especially loved that they always tidied up after themselves and never left work materials or a mess behind!     Oscar and his crew did a French drain system, mold remediation, vapor barrier, and hung a dehumidifier in our crawl space here in Durham…He had to fix what another company didn’t do properly!Well… I have been inspecting our crawl space since and it is perfect. No more water penetration or high levels of humidity in or crawl space.VERY AFFORDABLE…VERY PROFESSIONAL…VERY TIMELY…VERY COMMUNICATIVE….Great company and I look forward to doing more work with them in the future!!!!I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!!!!

    The folks at Cornerstone recommended AH Construction, and they didnt disappoint. Oscar came out and gave a very reasonable estimate to fix structural issues (replacing part of the sill plate and band joists) which required jacking up part of the house. His crew came out one Saturday and knocked it out by 3pm. They were exceptionally tidy (not often the case with workers!) and left the place swept clean when they finished. They originally werent going to use sill seal, but when I insisted they went to Home Depot and used it. They didnt charge any extra for that, nor for replacing the bottom plate which wasnt listed in the original quote. Thanks, guys!

    This is the best company we have ever worked with! We didnt think we were going to be able to repair our sinking and uneven floors, new footings, etc., because our crawlspace was very shallow. All companies we contacted recommended breaking into our floors from inside the house. Oscar immediately put us at ease and said they deepen the crawlspace from below which allows access to make necessary repairs. His crew went above and beyond what we expected. They were very reliable, hard working, and respectful. Would not use another company for home repairs or new projects.

    In one of my first real estate transactions, I needed a contractor to replace two piers under a ranch home in North Raleigh. I called Oscar. Within one week he has listened to my request, gotten a crew out to the house, replaced the piers, and accomplished every task I requested of him with great professionalism.     Oscar and his team are great. We redid our master bathroom and Oscars team completed the project in half the time that other contractors quoted us. They were punctual, worked extremely hard, and were kind and respectful of our space, putting down paper and plastic everyday and cleaning up after themselves everyday. Rigo was our team lead everyday and hes such a nice guy and does good work. I would use Oscars team again in a heartbeat and I would recommend them to others.

    FIVE STAR RATING- These guys are the BEST in town!!Oscar and his team at AH Construction Solutions were extremely professional and reasonable. I had water and foundation issues under my house and they were by far the most reasonable and honest contractors that I have ever worked with. They were efficient and kept me informed every step of the way. I have been referring them to friends and family any chance I get!There are so many contractors out there that will try to up charge you or try to sell you additional items that you may not need .. this happened to me with the other two quotes I received for this job (from other contractors). I am so thankful that Oscar and his team were honest and did not charge me for unnecessary items and expenses that were not needed.Thank you for the great work!I HIGHLY recommend AH construction!

    As a realtor, I use A LOT of vendors and none are more professional and reasonable to work with than Oscar and his crew! Priced well, clean up well, quick and so great to work with.I had a house that needed a ton of work in the crawlspace and my sweet seller was very nervous. Oscar came out , created a plan and helped ease her mind in selling the home. When it was time to do the work, the engineer came back with the exact plan. Hes THAT good! When the work was done, the engineer and permitting signed off on it in one visit. Hes THAT good.I couldnt recommend and value Oscar and his teams work more! Hes the best in the business out there.

    Oscar and his team did a wonderful job conducting structural repairs on our 80+ year old home exactly to the specifications of the structural engineering report we provided them. His initial assessment and cost estimate based on the report and his own visual inspection were very detailed and reasonably priced. He also was able to do additional types of work for us, including leveling the ground around our home, putting down a barrier (to code) in our crawlspace and, additionally, offered recommendations and repair for some other structural items of concern to us. Oscar was very prompt, courteous, and informative in all of his communications with us. His team wrapped up what we thought would be a week-long project in only two days. We are more than pleased with their efforts! We also received very courteous and prompt assistance when we were completing our payment. It is very refreshing to work with folks who obviously take pride in their business and in doing good work for their customers. Thank you for helping us with getting our home back in order!     I worked with AH Construction Solutions to evaluate and fix the foundation on my new home.     Oscar came out and quickly diagnosed a problem as we had sagging floors due to termite and water vapor damage. Oscars crew came out and fixed the structural damage, and flooring repairs in a day and a half. We were in a crunch due to having a baby, and they were sent out the next day. The crew was super efficient, cleaned up really nicely, took pictures of the job as it was under the floor to ensure we could see what was installed. Finished up the next day. Absolutely cannot recommend or thank them enough for the great job.

    After a couple of years of deferred maintenance, I finally decided to deal with structural repairs needed in the crawlspace of my 50+ year old N. Raleigh family home. Over the years, the concrete driveway that runs along the side of the house has shifted and cracked. These cracks in the concrete as well as the gaps between the house and the driveway have allowed water to get into the ground soil. Over the years, my father and then myself, applied DIY solutions like caulking and concrete patches in attempt to fix this problem but these were only temporary solutions and in the end, failed. So poor water drainage along the exterior foundation wall caused increased moisture in the crawlspace which began the wood rot. This created the perfect environment for termites and mold both of which occurred.I got 4 quotes to do the needed repairs. One of the companies is very high profile and seemingly advertises themselves everywhere. I could have bought a very nice brand new car for what they wanted. Two of the other companies were less high profile but were high in the Google search results. One quote was in the new car range and the other was more reasonable. Because of financial constraints, I was worried I may have to continue to put these repairs on hold indefinitely. But I decided to keep looking for someone, so I went beyond the first page or so of the Google search results looking for another company to do these repairs.Thats when I found AH Construction Solutions. Within an hour of submitting my online request for a free estimate, I got a call back from Oscar Herrera.He came out a few days later and looked at the issues happening in the crawlspace as well as the driveway drainage problem. Within 24 hours, he had emailed me his quote to fix these problems. I can honestly say I had an emotional reaction when I opened and looked at his quote. My first thought was: Thank God for Oscar! Unlike the other 3 quotes, Oscars summary of the scope of repairs and related costs, represented a much more accurate and reasonable price to do this type of work. Because of Oscars quote, I was able to move forward with these repairs.The AH Construction crew came last week and got all the repairs done in 3 days. They arrived on time everyday and except for short lunch breaks, worked the entire time. No sitting around or disappearing for long periods of time! At the end of each day, they cleaned up the work area. Honestly it was barely noticeable they had been here. They were really nice young guys who I felt totally comfortable having on my property and in my home. I mostly stayed out of their way but ended up mother-hening them with fruit and snacks everyday. I was actually sad to see them go after the job was done :-(Although I have written quite a long review here, I cant say enough about how grateful I am to Oscar and his crew for making a potentially stressful situation as low stress as possible with their professionalism and their friendly, easy-going personalities.This is a family-owned and operated business, its very obvious that everyone is dedicated to maintaining a high standard of quality of work as well as work ethic.I will gladly refer them to my friends and neighbors and will call on them again for other deferred maintenance issues around this place!5 Stars is the max on Google but they deserve more!

    I had a 50s ranch with a raised concrete patio that was all cracked and so water was seeping through the cracks into the storage room below. Oscars team came out and re-sealed the surface, in addition to shoring up a lot of the loose railings to make the patio so beautiful and much safer for my tenants. Should have done this years ago! Oscar is always so responsive and helpful. Hes answered questions about other stuff for me as well.

    These guys are the best. THE BEST! We had our contractor bail on a huge porch renovation and Oscar and his team came and fixed everything. They were fair, honest, and so nice. They did great work. They showed up when they said they would, communicated really well, and the final price was what they quoted. Amazing! So happy with final result.     AH Construction did a superb job of reconstructing the foundation on our 1930s home we recently purchased in Durham. They re-built the foundation walls using rebar-reinforced brick, poured a new floor, secured weight-bearing beams, and added french drains. They installed high-quality vapor barriers in crawl spaces (far superior than what was existing); and the sump pump they installed with the new french drains is top quality, quiet, and self-contained. They went above and beyond what we requested, even re-setting bricks in a section on the front sidewalk (at no extra charge) and re-routing drains. They were prompt, kept us up-to-date while we were out of town, did high-quality work, and were extremely accommodating. They will be our go-to from now on for anything involving foundations, home renovations or construction.

    I had a faulty alarm go off in my crawlspace one day. I called Oscar to come and check it out the next day, even though I couldn’t be home at the time. Later, Oscar called me to inform me that the pump in the crawlspace was still working correctly. The flooding alarm was a false alert, so I didn’t need to install a new pump, which saved me a lot of money. I really appreciate the honesty of this company. If youre looking for a reliable and professional company for your crawlspace needs, AH Construction Solutions should be your first choice!

    I hired AH Solutions to replace the support beams for an enclosed porch on a second story detached garage apartment. And, to put in a new door and threshold to prevent water damage to the porch. The crew showed up prepared, were easy to talk to, very open and informative about what they were doing, were timely in their work, and did an excellent job. This is the second time I have hired AH Solutions. The first time was for foundation work on a rental property. Its been 4 years and their work has stood the test of time. I would highly recommend them!I want to give an update, 5 years later. I had Oscar come out to a detached garage adu behind my house twice. First to ask if everything looked okay. It was build 75 years ago, unpermited, and there was a slight slope in the floor. He said it looked fine and no work was needed unless I wanted to push the slope out for visual purposes. After recommendation from another remodeling vendor for more girder support Oscar came back out and assured me that we are fine to put the additional weight into the kitchen remodel. He could have taken the opportunity to offer me some expensive work at either point but, instead was honest and assured me that none was needed. I am very impressed with this.

    Oscar and his team did a fantastic job repairing my foundation and implementing the engineers instructions. Further, they performed the work expeditiously, and were quickly responsive to my communications and concerns. They also worked with the city to obtain all the appropriate permits, which documents the work and helps my home retain its building value.Hopefully I dont have to seek foundation repair for a while, but if I do, AH Construction Solutions will be the first contractor I call.

    I was recommended Oscar as being the right person for the job for some fairly intensive repairs in my crawl space - a horizontal crack on the foundation wall that was bowing. He offered a solution that was even better than what was originally called for in the repair plan, showed me examples of previous work, and took the time to explain the choices and how everything worked. His crew showed up when he said they would, and even after the job taking a little longer than they planned for (including them coming out the morning of Memorial Day to make sure to finish!) I wasnt charged more. Oscar came out and did a thorough walk through with me and even called an electrician to put back an electrical box that his crew had had to move , just to be safe. Same day and no extra charge. I highly recommend Oscar and AH Construction, and already have plans to use them for some deck structural repairs in the near future.

    I bought a property that needed significant foundation repair and waterproofing in the crawlspace and basement, inside and out.I could not have been more pleased with the services Oscar and his crew provided from start to finish. His estimate was reasonable and accurate, and they didnt stop working on my house to take on other jobs--they showed up every day, and there were days when I couldnt believe how much was accomplished.Everyone was professional and really friendly, and Oscar was happy to answer all of my questions. He went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied with the work, and even the engineer was complimentary of the quality of work when he signed off on the project.Its never fun to be in a position where youre paying a lot for work you dont really understand, and thats where I think the real value of AH Construction Solutions lies.
