It was amazing to get such prompt and courteous service! At the end I was given recommendations and insight on what may have caused the problem.     Called Roto Rooter and they were there within 20 minutes. Diagnosed and addressed the problem and were out of there within an hour and a half. Our plumbing issue was quickly resolved!Mr. Davis was our technician and he was exceptional!

    I had a clog in my sewer line from a tree root. I had 4 different plumbers give me estimates to replace either 10, 20, or 50 feet of pipe and two told me it was the worst root problem they had ever seen. I was given estimates from $3,000 to $6,000. One never did get back to me with an estimate, but he did say he could hydro-jet the roots out of the line for $768 to &1,000 to clear the line, but I would still would need to replace 20 to 40 feet of pipe. I never got an estimate from him for the sewer line replacement. Two wanted to use an excavator and two said they could hand dig to replace the pipe. My inner voice was telling me that I just needed someone to remove the roots without the high cost of hydro-jetting and replace the section that was cracked from the intrusion. I was getting really upset because none of the plumbers agreed with me. A friend of mine gave me the phone number for Rotor Rooter. After performing a camera inspection, Joshua from Rotor Rooter told me he could cut out a small section of pipe where the root broke through the pipe, and he thought he could just yank the tree root tail out of the sewer line by hand without having to replace several feet of pipe. This was what I was wanting to hear someone say, and this would save me two thousand dollars from my lowest estimate received. He said he could do the work same day and was done in two hours. He was very knowledgeable, professional, polite, and didnā€™t try to upsell with me. Since I had the tree removed and am getting the stump ground out, Joshua said the repair should last my lifetime and their work is guaranteed for one year. Iā€™m extremely happy with Joshua from Rotor Rooter and highly recommend him to anyone with any tree root problems in their sewer line.

    The tech (Jimmy) came out and fixed an issue that I had for years. Im now able to use my sink that I havent used for the last 2 years. He was really kind and patient, even with my tiny human asking all kinds of questions. He is the only tech that I will request to come out if we ever have an issue again.

    Had a sewer drain clog and the first plumber I set up the evening before backed out at 9:30 am in the morning of the appointment. I then called Roto-Rooter and they were able to get someone to my house within 90 minutes. Byron did a great job clearing out a couple of clogs and he took the time necessary to make sure the pipe was clear by retesting with a different snake head. He was here for over two hours.     I neglected to get the technicianā€™s name but he did an outstanding job. His first effort was to try saving us some money by flushing the line with water pressure which indeed solved the problem of the slow moving drain. We were very pleased with the service.

    Put out three bids to clean roots out of system. Had three bids ranging from 5,000 dollars to under 1,000. Roto-Rooter won. They were a very honest & ended up trustworthy on the diagnosis. Not only that, they saved more $ by showing the things I didnā€™t need plus future care to use in keeping up with sewer drain problems.

    TJ with Roto-Rooter was great. He worked very hard to help me find a way to scope my storm drain. We were unsuccessful, but it was not his fault.I am not a fan of how Roto-Rooter handles their billing. It places too much on the person doing the work, in this case TJ, to both get the work done and navigate the various fees associated with the work as it evolves in real time. It ended up being a very frustrating experience for everyone involved.

    I called Roto-Rooter at around 10am on a holiday weekend Saturday to clear a sewer line tree root clog at my rental property. I had previously rented an auger from Home Depot that wasnā€™t quite large enough to handle the job. The technician TJ was there about 30 mins after I called in. He laid out my options and was able to clear the line within about an hour. Their largest auger is a bigger than most rentals. He gave me advice on some root killing chemicals to maintain the line until replacement. Pleased with the service.

    Bennett got to the problem drainage wise so we are glad he was able to come the same day as our call in. I had tried to explain to my wife though where he should have gone into the drain line which is an easy access Y with a cap that was installed exactly for that purpose and allows the snake machine to stay on our deck outside and not have to come in the house. I see he saw the spot but you have to pop the separate piece up from the deck to see it. She did not know to explain that to him. My only critique would be make sure the technician calls the person that actually called for service (me) as I could have quickly explained that to him and it would have made his job easier. Overall would definitely use Roto-Rooter again.

    Amazingly awesome service provided by Chuck at Charleston Roto-Rooter. I called in with a sewer back up problem. Office was super courteous and professional, and immediately sent Chuck over. He was there within 20 minutes. Again, Chuck was super courteous and professional, and he was willing to try a variety of solutions to help solve the clogged sewer line problem. Great attitude and very professional - probably the most professional plumbing person I have ever worked with. After multiple tries to solve this stubborn clog, Chuck was able to dislodge the problem and get the line flowing, making me a very happy customer. He also gave me a 30 day warranty on the work. I considered the fees charged reasonable, especially given the amount of effort required to get this fixed. I highly recommend Roto-Rooter of Charleston if you should have a drain problem.

    I sell real estate and sellers have left town. During the inspection, the inspector located what they thought was a blockage in a cast iron pipe. The buyers and their agent were understandably concerned. I called Roto-Rooter and they were able to schedule us quickly. The folks in the office were VERY communicative. They even called a day early when there was a cancellation to get us in sooner, which helped since we were under time constraints. Frank arrived quickly and was an awesome guy to talk with. He was extremely knowledgeable and helped calm the concerns of all parties. You always hope youll never NEED a plumber, but cleared again, but if I do, I hope Frank is on duty. He was awesome.
