Billy is amazing!! He came out right away. 120 year old house, just bought, not easy access to drains. Figured it all out, had to remove toilet but fixed it when putting it back because previous owner had it in wrong. He also came out for friends house down the street a few months back and fixed hers right away. Friendly, knowledgeable, advice on how to keep drains clear, etc. Both houses after hours too and he was available and courteous. I just cannot say enough good about him.

Great experience using them. Had an issue with water backup from a main line sewer clog and had called a different plumbing company that never showed up! I was very stressed out and called and talked to Billie from Hawkeye. He was honest and knowledgeable about my issue and assured me of what to do till he arrived. I was very relieved and was so glad I called them. Billie was prompt and got right on clearing my line. Everything was done in no time at all and was reasonably priced. I highly recommend them to anyone!

We’ve used Hawkeye for a few different jobs, the pipes and drains in this house are just awful. And one incident of a toddler flushing some keys down the toilet. All of the jobs I would give 5 stars to. I had someone hire a different company while we were gone and the job was terrible, acid was poured in my tub (after I specifically said no) and left all kinds of chemical burns—and needed to be readdressed not 2 weeks later. I was afraid that would be the case the second I looked at it. I was extremely upset that my plumbers of choice were not called to begin with. We’ve always trusted the crew at Hawkeye. So we called Hawkeye and Billy came out and fixed it within 10 minutes. I’ve never had to call them out to repeat a job because he’s always done it the right way the first time! They’re friendly, honest and fair, also friendly with your pets and kids. They will always be our first choice, and we recommend them to EVERYONE!

Ive had interactions with Hawkeye Sewer and Drain a few times this past year--all wonderful. (I have a very old house and Im still learning about how to maintain it! And I was using the wrong toilet paper--Costco brand is a no-no, apparently!)Jordon and others with the company have been patient and thoughtful in helping me understand each problem and how I can prevent it in the future/their method for fixing it. They are natural and willing teachers--if a client decides to ask questions--as much as they are excellent tradesmen in plumbing.And the pricing is reasonable. And, like everyone else has mentioned in these reviews, they are quite reliable about showing up when they say, and they are on-call, so if your basement floods on a Sunday, then they will be there later that Sunday to fix it.)

Just had Joey from Hawkeye sewer and drain come by to clean out roots from my 4 inch main line. Scheduling an appointment was very fast and because there was a truck in my area of town was here in very quickly!I already knew the issue was roots in the line from previous experiences and he confirmed that that was the problem and set up his gear. He was very courteous and answered all my questions. Tarps were placed around the area to keep my house clean and he fully cleaned up after himself when he was done.The price was also a good deal less than RR had done a few years ago!Overall the best experience I have had with a sewer company and, though I hope I wont have to, would definitely call them again!

I had a very positive experience with Hawkeye Sewer and Drain, I can highly recommend them! Called late on a Friday afternoon for a backed up house main. Thought I might have to wait until Sat am, but within 20 minutes Nate showed up in their bright yellow van and got to work. He was professional and thorough, and he identified that I had 2 separate problems, one with the house main and one with a secondary drain. He fixed both of these using specialized augur tools, in the one case working in very cramped and difficult conditions behind my washing machine in our tiny downstairs utility closet. Throughout the whole ordeal, Nate was extremely professional and courteous. After the job was done, we ran the faucets and flushed the toilets to double check that the problem was solved. He presented me with a final bill detailing the work done, and everything was reasonably priced and well within my expectations given how hard he worked here for 1.5 hours.

We had a tub clog and leaking through our kitchen ceiling on the night before a holiday. They were extremely helpful in asking questions to diagnose the issue and provided guidance over the phone which allowed us to stop the leaking. Because of this we were able to schedule an appointment to fix the clog on a normal business day rather than paying double time that night or during a holiday. They arrived promptly, had everything taken care of within an hour, and charged a price that felt fair to us. They also cleaned up the mess after cutting damaged drywall out of the kitchen ceiling. I would use them again.

Same-day service. The service person in charge (James) was professional and a quick diagnostician, and his assistant was also polite and helpful; I was told exactly what was wrong and what would be needed to fix it; the work was done promptly and cleaned up so well that, had I not known theyd just cleared my _sewer_ line, Id have walked barefoot around the drain without a second thought.All that, and the price was so reasonable it almost felt a little small, considering how tidy and _gentlemanly_ they were, almost like Id hired someone from Mr. Rogers Neighborhood instead of from a frantic 21st century Monday. I will not hesitate to call Hawkeye Sewer if I need their help again.

Had the best experience with Hawkeye. Sump pump stopped working and left me with many inches of water in my basement. Jimmy came out fast and with his skill and knowledge knew exactly what to do and addressed the problem quickly. He was also very informative about the situation. I was extremely pleased. Super nice, respectful and courteous. He went above and beyond and made sure everything was in working order before leaving. Well, I dont know about the other reviewers, but my experience was positive. We had both a really clogged toilet and tree roots in the sewer line. The worker (Jimmy) was helpful and worked fast, and even after everything was working, kept checking other stuff until I was satisfied that it was all how I wanted. The price was very reasonable, too; less than what I paid for the other guys I had used before.

Gave these guys a try, after I roughed-in my tub. They installed the tub plumbing just fine, and were very respectful of my home. Since then, Ive had them fix my kitchen sink, and run an auger down my sewage line twice to clear roots. Really prompt, professional, and personable work, in addition to being competent in their work. They are my go-to plumbers now.

They came back out twice for no charge in semi emergency situations because the grease and stuff clogging the drain moved around and stopped the drain again. Now a month later I havent had another problem. I will definitely call them again when I need a plumber!

I’ve used them several times, and they’ve always shown up promptly, even in the middle of the night, and gotten the job done. No job too small. Once or twice I’ve had to keep an eye on the work and do the “hey, this isn’t finished” thing, but that’s true of almost every handyman/trade service I’ve ever used. And, as everyone else says, the price is super-reasonable. I get that there are people who don’t want to be told that they can do the work themselves for cheap, but these guys are trying to save you a buck: appreciate it. Can I say, I also appreciate that they don’t try to charge me crazy money because I’m a woman — I’ve had that happen with a couple of other local companies, where I guess they figured I wouldn’t know the difference. I also appreciate that they don’t bump you because a bigger/more lucrative job’s shown up — if they say they’ll be there, they’ll be there.

I needed a toilet replaced and looked at prices for a new one online. I thought it would be expensive and a big deal to install but I googled and found Hawkeye Sewer and called at 2 in the afternoon. The owner recommended their toilet as higher quality than I could probably buy for my self, gave me a price estimate and sent someone out that afternoon. The young guy who came out a half hour later was very polite and efficient. He took the time to fix the flange which was warped and I had a new toilet by 5:30 pm that was less expensive than I thought it would be. I can tell the Gerber toilet itself is an upgrade from what I had and very high quality. I will use Hawkeye again and recommend them highly.
