After moving into a new home the power to half our house went out and we found out we’d need an entire new electrical panel.Not only did Andre respond on a weekend to come diagnose the issue but his team worked quickly once we scheduled a second appointment to get it installed and our power back on.I had a ton of questions throughout the process and Andre and his team took time to address all of them.I highly recommend contacting Andre if you’re looking for quality electrical work at a great price.

We interviewed quite a few electricians before we met Andre, the owner. Some didnt respond, some were late, some tried to upsell, and a few failed to follow-through with a quote. Andre was prompt, responsive, on-time, and on budget. Best of all, he and Pedro did quality work, always leaving the work area in as clean a condition as when they started.The first call was to install lighting above the garage doors, plus a flood light with motion sensor. This was not easy because the garage door opener rail mount occupied the space behind where the lights were to go. I still dont know how they did it, but as the photos show, they achieved my request. They also mounted lighting fixtures on the back of the house. There was cabinetry on the inside that made mounting and wiring a real challenge. Once again, they performed their magic.We were so pleased with their work that when it was time to have a Tesla wall charger mounted outside of the garage, we asked Andre for a quote. Tesla has a referral program for certified electricians, so I did submit requests, but not one could be bothered to respond. Andre was not only prompt, but he and Pedro got the job done without delay.If you need a professional electrician, just call Makena Electric.

This is my initial review. “Outstanding!” Andre called me back and came out the next morning to assess my needs. What a nice man. He was professional and extremely personable. While he was coming to assess my needs, he took time to try a few possible solutions as well. While they were not successful due to the nature of the problem, I am confident that Andre and his team will find a solution when they return. My knowledge of electrical work is limited, but I know enough to tell that Andre was checking all the right things. I have had numerous contractors do jobs for me over the years and so far, Andre left me feeling as though I have a solid electrician for my future electrical needs! Five Stars! Andre is amazing! I called last minute for electrical emergency at my business. He was able to fit me in and within a few hours arrived. Andre came in, took charge and was able to diagnose every single issue that was going on. Our electricity and wiring was old and through the years the wires have slowly corroded and burned. This could have been a major disaster. However Andre made it seem so easy, he truly has super powers when it comes to diagnosing electrical problems. He was fast, efficient, honest, and a nice guy.Above all his pricing is very fair. I’m so grateful to have found him. We had another company come out the day prior and quoted us over $10k to fix and replace an electrical panel (which Andre said we didn’t need)Thank you Andre for all your help! I highly recommend Makena Electric! I hired Makena Electric to install a residential electrical panel upgrade from 100 amp to 200 amp and install 240outlet for charging my electric vehicle. When I first met the owner, Andre, I knew this was going to be a great experience. I was impressed with the professionalism of Andre and his team. Andre listened to my ideas and concerns regarding this project. Then, he explained the process for each project and he made certain that I understood. Also, he gave his expertise recommendation for the project. Overall, I was amazed and happy with the workmanship of the project, the communication with Andre and his staff. I am late to leave my review for Andre and his awesome work, and skills, I can’t say enough great things. Andre and Pedro revamped our lighting in our small condo , and also installed a light fan fixture in our bedroom. They were both professional, courteous, and punctual. I couldn’t believe it took them one day to install the lighting and do their magic, and cleanup, after was also greatly appreciated. Our place looks completely different just with the lights they installed. Andre recommended another small business owner, Miguel, to do the painting and drywall work and he was just as awesome and did impeccable work. Thank you guys for such beautiful work, and we will continue to recommend your business if we hear anyone in need, or when we move!

I cannot recommend Andre from Makena Electric highly enough. I work from home and blew out the breaker that my computer and all peripherals are plugged into. It also happened to be my busiest time of the month. Andre responded quickly and although he originally wasnt going to be able to come out until the following day, managed to squeeze me in at the end of what was probably already a long day for him. He arrived on time and treated me and approached the job like I was the only client he had that day. The price was more than reasonable and he took the time to show me what the issues were and how he was going to fix them. He also fixed some issues that we were having in a couple of the bedroom outlets while he was here. He also shared some strategies how to make the breaker panel last longer and not require a replacement sooner.Lastly, but certainly not least, he was respectful and spoke to me as a homeowner and not as a messenger for my husband, which I really appreciated.Thank you, Andre!

Andre was great to work with. His creative ideas suited perfectly what I wanted done, and at a reasonable price. He listened attentively and molded the practical with the ideal. Im buying a Tesla, but I dont drive on a daily basis. He converted a major and costly project of installing an unnecessary 50amp line/connector In my garage into a minor job of a plenty sufficient 30amp line. He kept in close communication during the process of giving an estimate and 2 other visits. We also had him install light fixtures and outlets, and repair a switch/outlet. His partner Pedro was friendly and hard working. The jobs were done promptly. I highly recommend Makena Electric for any of your home electrical needs.

Andre and Pedro are fabulous! They have both helped me with two rounds of projects already: Adding canned lights and sconces, changing fixtures, adding pendant lights. And, Andre was the ONLY person that could figure out an a/c problem the warranty folks couldnt figure out in 3 years. Plus, they are super friendly and fun to joke around with. I highly recommend!

They installed 3 new outdoor lights and replaced 4 existing ones. They replaced the switches and took me from a 1970s home to a modern 2021! From the minute they arrived they were all working hard and barely took a break for lunch. Andre listened to what I wanted and made it come true! I now have lighting all around the house and at the touch of a button can control it from my phone. Ill definitely be using Makena Electric for all my future electrical work.

Makena Electric did an outstanding job installing a new exterior motion sensor light on the front of my home, and replacing a regular patio light with a new exterior motion sensor light, consistent with the job diagram and instructions for placements that I provided to the electrician. I was impressed that the company even made several checks to ensure that the settings on both lights were correct, and also provided the necessary volume and direction of the lights for security reasons. The company also made sure that the least amount of drywall for the front building new light was removed when installing the new wiring and made it easy for me to replace the cut out drywall sections after the job was successfully completed. I was also very impressed with the work ethic and attention to detail that Makena Electric demonstrated. I would recommend this company without hesitation.

Ive had them come out a couple times already to replace my 80s lighting with new recessed lights.
