    Its not often I get to post a positive experience but A&E deserve it. The sales experience was perfect. Pointing out code issues is what sold me. The install crew totalled 5. 3 worked on the AC replacement and 2 worked on the furnace.I was told it would take 9 hours and it took exactly that. The installations looks fantastic.

    From start to finish, working with A&E was a great experience. Everyone I dealt with (Mitchell, the estimator, Josh, the foreman, John and Tyler, the installers and Zach, the electrician) were uniformly friendly, professional, knowledgeable and responsive to our questions and concerns. We were given four options for installation packages, along with financing options. Once we decided, work began within about 10 days, and was completed on schedule. John and Tyler were great to have around the house, and easy to work with as we made a number of on-the-fly installation decisions to integrate our new heat pump and air handler into the existing ducting for our older, three story home. They took the time to explain what they were doing and why, when I asked, and made at least one important change I requested. Having been a residential remodeling contractor in the past, I recognized and deeply appreciated their commitment to customer service, and their obvious expertise. And, hey, as I look outside at the snow - its really nice to be warm for a change!

    A&E were great. The estimate and scheduling process was smooth with a quick turnaround time and the cost I felt was reasonable for the HVAC job they did for us. Tyler and Zach were very professional and friendly; they did very nice work and went the extra step to ensure that the next phase of our project would tie into their work seamlessly.

    I originally bought my system from Clawson in 2018 and I believe they were bought by A&E a few years ago. My experience with both have been good. The transition was easy and A&E Plumbing and Heating/ Air is a great company to work with for furnace needs. I use their semi annual maintenance service. You can pay one time yearly fee or spread it out in monthly payments of same total price at no extra interest fees. This maintenance is great way to keep my heating and cooling in top condition. Today their technician Carson Cooper did the winter tuneup. He is friendly, on time, and has knowledgeable expertise in his work. He worked diligently and gave me some helpful hints to keep things running well. And he likes dogs too! ..thank you Carson!

    I had my new furnace installed by A&E last year. This year is the first time had them to do annual maintenance. The technician ( Barrie ) came exactly on time for appointment slot. He worked immediately on my furnace and HEAP. Once finished, he came back and explained everything in detail. The technician is very polite and knowledgeable. It is a very pleasant experience. Im looking forward to have AC maintenance next Spring.

    We contacted A&E to purchase a new Mini split heat pump. They sent Karin out to go over options. We purchased a Mitsubishi brand. The very next week they sent out Jose to install it. Everyone was very professional and knowledgeable. Jose was very curtious and swept up left our home as he found it. We are looking forward to staying warm and comfortable this Winter .     Need a new furnace after my 52 year old one finally failed for good. A&E is a known company having taken over for Honkee Heating following their retirement. They have followed their excellent service reputation and footsteps also providing superb know how, experience, professionalism and value for the buck that you expect from a local company. Mike and Greg know what they are doing and were very patient and personable too. Great guys to have in my home and get the heat going again as winter starts to roll in.     A&E did a quality job installing our new Trane AC unit! From their sales expert, Rick, who helped us select the best system for our home, to their highly knowledgeable installation techs, Zach and Troy, who worked throughout the day, politely and tirelessly as they got our system fine tuned - I cannot recommend this company enough! This team helped correct an issue of 70% inside humidity created by another well known company. We are so grateful for A&E Heating and Cooling!

    The A&E technician, Isaac Cortes, was very thorough, knowledgeable and friendly. Im always happy with the service I receive from them. Isaac was so good natured about having to come out to our place twice because, when I made the first appointment, I forgot to mention that we had two different systems and he didnā€™t have time to complete both on the first visit. Iā€™m glad to know that everything is in working order and that, if anything goes wrong, A&E will take care of it.A few weeks later, Andrew came out to check on an intermittent issue and he was great also. Very understanding, helpful, and thorough.

    Jason and Kyle from A&E installed a new sump pump for me on Monday. It was same day outstanding service. I had a concern on Friday that I had not heard the pump work. I asked Joanna the coordinator, who is also a customer focused problem solver, to have Jason call me to see if there would be a reason for what I was experiencing. They showed up in person in the afternoon and checked everything out and demonstrated the pump was working. Outstanding service.

    I had a new hvac unit install by A&E this last March. The person who sold it and all of the technicians were very nice and helpful. A couple of days ago we had a part that was faulty go out on us and they were able to repair it and get us back working again in a few days. Once again every one was very nice and helpful. Would recommend them to anyone.

    Tyler did a fantastic job installing our new Mitsubishi furnace and heat pump! He was always considerate of our carpeting to make sure it didnt get soiled or have anything tracked in. He thoroughly tutored me on the new thermostat and how everything worked. (The instructions were a little confusing to me, but he explained everything so that I felt confident in the proper use).     Issac was wonderful. Very friendly and professional. Explained everything to me and did a good job. Karin was very knowledgeable and thorough in her proposal for a new air conditioner. Made arrangements that same day for a crew to come and do the job within a few days. The crew just left and did a great job. Hosea and John know what theyre doing and were awesome. Brandon came in to check electrical and he also is good at his job. It was a very positive experience and were glad we called A & E. Thank you. I also wanted to thank Mitchell for coming over to give us an estimate for a generator. He was very thorough and listened to all our concerns. All of you guys are great.It has been one month since the install and there was a slight noise that concerned us.     We had the heat pump checked out for the winter months coming ahead. I guess it had not been checked in a couple years, due to our overlook. Our system American Standard is just a couple years old. Tim S was our tech and a nice guy, pleasant and talked us through what he was doing. We asked the receptionist we needed someone to go under the house and check the duct work. We had a visitor previously and had the pest company come out and do thier thing. But wanted to make sure there was no damage to the ducts. Tim said he went in as far back as he could considering his tall self , and used a flash light to check where he could not fit into, and saw nothing disturbed or opened. We really appreciated the ducts checked under the house. Tim tested the temp and air flow , checked the freon level, tested the back up heat and it was all in good working order. Then he tested the heat pump and we received good news there also. Recalibrated the unit , making sure everything was hitting the mark. Said we were good to go, and had a tune up in other words. Love hearing the good news, He mentioned other customers , he had to give bad news to. Said we should at least get a yearly check, to make sure everything is working properly. So we highly recommend this company, and reasonable rates. So get your appt in before the winter comes, and before they get swamped with emergency calls. A solid company with great people .     When our 2 units went out right before leaving on Vacation, I contacted A & E Plumbing, Heating and Air and was able to speak to someone right away and was able to schedule an appointment for the morning after I returned. Karin came out, surveyed the situation and was able to give me a quote, get us pre-qualified and scheduled for installation all within 10 days from the units going out. Karin was great to work with through this process.Update..we just had our 2 systems replaced and wow, what a great team!!     I had the pleasure of working with Jason and Kyle for 2 days while they replaced the waste lines in our old house. These 2 deserve A medal for crawling around in my crawlspace. Jason was very Knowledgeable, pleasant, and ran everything by my husband or I before doing anything and explained the whole process so is nurses could understand . Kyle was very polite and hard-working. Both Jason and Kyle not only finished the job ahead of time but also cleaned Up any mess they made. Iā€™ve used other plumbers in the past who have left my house a disaster and from now on I will only use A&E plumbing. If you want a great plumbing job ask for Jason and Kyle!

    ***11/19/24: Another great service from Matt Finney. Hes extremely friendly and knowledgeable. He arrived right on time and completed the service in a timely manner. I have nothing but praise for this technician. Thank you, Matt!Matt Finney is an awesome technician! Our a/c quit working one very hot day and was able to get out in just a couple of days (grateful to the office staff for that!). He found the problem within a few minutes but needed to order a new part for it. In the meantime, he was able to do some sort of magic with our system to make sure the a/c worked during the rest of the hot days.When the part came in, Matt scheduled us right away, and within a short amount of time had us up and running again. He made sure to check that the system was working for both heating and cooling before he left.Matt is very friendly and knowledgeable, and works very efficiently. We were really pleased with the quality of care he gave us.Special shout-out to Angel in the office and to Matt White, another awesome technician!

    November 2024: just had my pre-winter checkup and still love this company!January 2024 (included photos) : I only have good things to say about them. Courteous, responsive, actually try and diagnose the problem with my HVAC unit icing over in the winter. My unit seems to be possessed, and I went with several other companies before them and I got the run around. But not with A&E! They have been diligently working with the manufacture to fix my Trane system. My system isnā€™t de-icing like it should.

Greg was here when the office said he would be both times and suggested, without being pushy, additional shop and owner services that could be taken to avoid costly failures in the future.     A&E is terrific. We had extensive work done this summer that required a plumber and HVAC. Karin is a straight forward, no nonsense estimator and I appreciate the transparency she provides. Last week, A&E Heating and Air installed a zoned system in our home in Gresham that includes a high-efficiency Trane heat pump, a modulating gas furnace, and a steam humidifier. They also added ducts to balance the air flow in three rooms and repaired some leaks in existing ducts. From the initial evaluation and design by Rick Coleman to the meticulous installation by Tyler Hanefeld, Zach Sherwood, and a thoroughly professional team that included Troy, Scott, and Kaden, it was a job well done and a good experience all around.     I have been using Clawson Heating for at least five years, maybe more. Have always had great service. While there was a snag with the appointment today, it was quickly addressed. Matt Booker checked everything and did a very, very good job. I will certainly continue using the company.Today, October 4th, my furnace was checked out by Carson Cooper. He did an excellent job and was very professional and friendly. I had some problems with scheduling and was happy to see him arrive before noon.

    I had nothing short of an exceptional experience with A&E, every single step of this project always felt like I was in the right hands. Rick and Angel were wonderful people that answered all my questions, educated me when I needed help, and never once made me feel like I was under pressure.Scott, Owen, Tyler, and Greg were absolute professionals; on time every day, very tidy, and were in general just pleasant company to have in my home which really helped keeping things feel relaxed during the duration of this longer project - had to remind myself to let them work because I felt like we could just talk all day!Would totally recommend A&E any chance I get in the future, really great work.

    Wonderful company! We had Tyler and John for our install; it was smooth sailing and they kept us in the loop the whole way.     Carson Cooper came out to do our annual check up on our A/C unit. He did an excellent job and explained what he was checking on our A/C unit. He also checked our furnace filters and cleaned them as well.Hes very knowledgeable and cares about doing a great job for his customers.     Isaac Cortes my A&E Heating tech today for my anual maintenance service on my furnace. A&E called ahead of my appointment to notify me Isaac was on his way. He arrived earlier than expected which was great & he was pleasant, personable, accommodating and professional. I had some specific questions and Isaac was able to address them all. I have had the pleasure of working with A & E since they installed my gas furnace few years back and they always take great care of my concerns or questions.

    Weve used A&E for years and have always been happy with their service. We recently had a tree fall on our garage attached to our house, where our furnace is. The house has sat without power for nearly 2 months. We finally restored power and needed the furnace, AC and ducts inspected. Carson arrived on time and was very friendly and professional. He serviced the units and had to crawl under the house to inspect ducts and take photos for insurance. He was extremely sympathetic and helpful. Thanks for the reliably great service!
