    I had several puddles in my crawl space after Helene. I was concerned that the tape holding patches of encapsulation material together might be a source of leaks. First contractor wanted to dig a ditch around the entire perimeter and put in a sump pump. No doubt a very expensive solution. The next two contractors said the encapsulation was fine, but I could probably use a more capable dehumidifier. BRSPros agreed with that assessment. They also found two other issues the other contractors did not, addressed them, and installed a new dehumidifier. I am completely pleased with the results and the competent performance of BRSPros.

    I got a quote from BRS to replace a malfunctioning dehumidifier in my crawl space. It was the best quote I got. Them came back a few days later to install it and seal a vent as well. The crew was on time and completed the work quickly. Afterwards they showed me everything they did and showed me how to operate the unit. It works great. Within about 4 hours it brought the humidity down about 25 points to the recommended level and it holds it there very well. I will definitely use them again for any crawlspace needs I have. Great job!

He arrived quickly and diagnosed the problem with our dehumidifier, suggested the solution, and set about fixing things for us. Friendly, efficient and expert. Good guy. First contact with BRS.     Top notch service from start to finish in the first and second visits.When I took a home radon test in our basement in 2015 the results were slightly higher than recommended. So, I called Basement & Radon Solutions. The came quickly and verified my readings with their test. The installer explained the radon mitigation procedure which was to drill several holes about 4 in diameter and about 2 feet deep through the concrete basement floor down into the dirt beneath. A length of pipe would then be Td off the main pipe into each of the floor holes which were then sealed at the floor. After the fan unit was installed and connected to the four inch main pipe a pressure differential was created to suck out any radon from beneath the basement floor and out into piping terminating above the roof line. Also installed was a gauge that monitors the pressure to verify the systems doing its job. The first fan has been working 24/7 for almost ten years keeping us safe from the deadly gas. As I remember back then the installation took 1-2 days, and I was a happy camper with the whole process. Ive had a chance to see a neighbors radon installation using a different company in process. The house was about the same size as mine but their system seemed much smaller, and I dont believe the piping was ever run under the basement floor. It just seem to be terminated in a hole outside dug into the ground. This other company also didnt cap the gas exhaust pipe above the roof. Perfect place for water and animal intrusion. So sad!When my fan died recently, I called Basement & Radon Solutions again. They were here within several days and replaced the fan unit quickly and seamlessly (see photo). As usual they were on time for the appointment and the replacement process was quick. The tech was pleasant and answered some questions I had regarding county codes professionally and respectfully. Overall a superlative job. You cant go wrong with this company!

    Basement and Radon solutions did a great job at our house. They installed a radon pump last year. The pump stopped working, not their fault. Thomas came out installed a new pump at no charge as it was under warranty. Cant thank them enough for the great customer service. Highly recommended.

    Basement and Radon Solutions has been such a blessing! My husband and I bought a house to flip that had some major issues with the crawlspace (so bad it couldnt pass the CL-100). We had water issues, mold, no insulation, radon that needed treated in the crawlspace and slab area, and more.Rod came out to look at the space and really took his time to figure out solutions to all of our issues. He explained everything to us in a way we could understand and also worked with us to try and find a way that we wouldnt have to shell out extra money for a french drain. In the end, we needed to add it, but he guided us in trying to fix problems to we could avoid it.This company is definitely more concerned with customer care and quality work than getting extra money out of people. Theyve been honest, respectful, thorough, helpful, and transparent through the whole process. Their office staff is fantastic too - So communicative and nice to work with!We had three guys out working on the crawlspace for about 5 days. They were each so kind and friendly and boy did they work hard. We had snow coming towards the end of the week, so they worked long hours to make sure the crawlspace was finished in time. They were happy to answer any questions I had, and you could tell that they take a lot of pride in the work that they do. They were respectful of our house and showed so much integrity. They cleaned up after themselves and didnt leave any trash behind. They were AMAZING!Now, our crawlspace is GORGEOUS. I would even go under there and that is saying something!! They went above and beyond to fix every one of our issues. All of our other contractors who have been in the crawlspace rave about how nice it is and theyve all said its the nicest crawlspace theyve worked in.I wish I had a before picture so you could all see the difference because it is night and day!     The work was completed very quickly and made an instant difference in the warmth and comfort of our home. The only negative thing was the electrician that wired the dehumidifier and installed two lights in the crawl space. We experienced sticker shock as the cost was double what he initially quoted. Also, another electrician (who was doing a separate wiring job in the crawl space) warned us that the wiring of the dehumidifier / lights was not up to code. Recommend not using the electrician affiliated with the BRS.

    Roy and Santiago were amazing. They dug trenches along two walls of the crawl space that terminated at a new sump pump that they dug down and installed. They ran a discharge pipe up from the sump pump through a corner of our garage and down into an underground exterior drain line that they installed that carries the water away from the building. They then installed a new 9 mm radon collection membrane over the existing radon collection membrane that covers the entire crawl space. They then cleaned up after themselves and left the job spotless. They started work at 9:30 in the morning and were finished by 3:30. Roy was very patient with me and took the time to answer all of my questions. They both were very pleasant, seemed to enjoy their work and obviously took great pride in their finished project. I also was impressed with Brad McClain, the project manager and with the office staff. I have no hesitation in highly recommending Basement and Radon Solutions.

    Upon completing construction of our new home in Laurel Park, we needed to get peace of mind regarding Radon. Testing revealed the contractor installed passive system inadequate so we contacted BRS Radon Solutions. Stanley was our initial contact and he was very informative regarding Radon mitigation systems for a home and the health hazards of levels above 4.0. Our average reading was 8.0 so we requested Stanley to design & install a mitigation system for our home.Within 2 weeks, we were scheduled to have the work completed. Thomas was the crew leader installing the system and we were pleased with their work. The crew worked efficiently and was considerate of our presence during & cleanup after the work. Knowing we required ARC approval for exterior venting, Thomas provided us options that were not visible from the street. The system was started and Thomas explained the interior alarm and monitoring devices. After the system was started a post test was completed and we achieved an average radon test result of 2.0 pCi/l. We highly recommend BRS for the Radon Mitigation Systems.

    Our house is located in Glenville, NC. Not many companies would come to our town. We have a concrete carport that had cracked and sunk about 4 inches, during the last 20 years. The reason I have not given 5 stars is because the crew showed up Friday morning 1-1/2 hours later than I was told. Then at approximatly 4:30pm. they informed me the job was completed but they did not have time to go over the equipment with me then rushed out. Upon my inspection I discovered several things not completed. I contacted Stephen with my discovery. Stephen then came out the following Monday and completed the missed items.     Several years ago this company totally abated a mold issue, then encapsulated the crawl space, and installed a dehumidifier. The dehumidifier had five year warranty and lasted for four years and 8 months. We called Basement and Radon Solutions and they promptly arrived to check out the situation, removed the unit, replaced it with a substitute to temporarily protect our crawl space, ordered a new unit, delivered it and installed it at the manufactors expense a week later.We have nothing but the best to say about the professionality of this company and the quality of workmanship that they display.

    I hired Basement Solutions to check out a sealed crawl space I had in one area under my house that had become very humid. It was dry, but no dehumidifier had ever been installed and mold had begun to grow. They cleaned the mold and treated it to inhibit further mold growth. They then installed a dehumidifier. In my main crawl space area I had them install a new dehumidifier to replace two old ones I had used for years. These new ones are more efficient and economical to use and are mounted out of the way. I would certainly recommend this company for its professionalism. The cost was very reasonable and it was completed in an excellent time frame.

    The lifespan of a fan is about 15 years, and even tho it was working fine, I talked them into replacing it because I erroneously thought the old was getting noisy. I appreciate their approach: We can walk our of here and save you $384, or we can replace it. The new one makes the same rush of air noise, but I can sleep better at night. Quick work, good people.

Electrician Chris stopped by several days later and hard wired the radon vacuum fan. Owner Rod stopped by a few days later, picked up the radon test equipment, and let me know the radon had been reduced from 12.4 to 2.6, then emailed the test report.     The technician was mature and knew what he was talking about. No substitute for experience! My fan motor/system sounded like the motor was going bad.
