Im extremely happy with the work done by Ken/North Crest. I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of electrical work. He installed attic fans, recessed lighting, light fixtures, under counter lighting and also replaced our doorbell. His proposal was clear and I found his pricing to be very fair . In June 2024 Ken installed 6 LED recessed lighting with dimmer switches in all of my newly purchase homes bedrooms. He wired them to the existing switches on the wall and avoided having to open the walls or cause any damage. He was prompt, responsive, professional, respectful and left the house clean (covered everything with drop cloths to reduce amount of dust). The project came out great, and Im not generally very easy to please, and expect perfection....he did not dissapoint. I also obtained 3 other quotes and his pricing was very competitive. Additionally, he was very quick to visit my house and review the work I was proposing. He provided thoughtful suggestions based on his experience. Ken at North Crest is extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and communicative. I moved into a house with several electrical issues, so I called Ken with a couple of jobs in mind and asked him to look around to make sure everything was safe as long as he was here. When he started looking, Ken found several dangerous issues with the wiring. Unfortunately, most of the system needed to be rewired to be up to code and safe. Ken took the time to explain the issues to me, and we made a plan together that worked with my budget (prioritizing safety issues first and saving other pieces for later). Ken rearranged his week to get the job done as soon as possible, which was way above-and-beyond. I really appreciate the time he took to walk me through what needed to be done right now while respecting my budget, and after spending a week with him I can say hes a truly top-notch guy and an excellent electrician. You cant put a price on feeling safe in your home, and I trust the work he did for us completely.

From the moment my husband and I met with Ken, he was extremely professional, knowledgeable and reasonable. He walked us through what he suggested we repair in our 100 year old house and explained the process every step of the way. He asked for our input and consent on anything before he went ahead and we really came to value his suggestions and advice. He is a really hard worker, reliable and timely with his work as well as his communication. He is also extremely friendly and didn’t mind me asking questions throughout the process. We would 100% recommend him to anyone looking for a skilled electrician to update their home. We will use him in the future for our home improvement needs.

Ken is a Master Electrician with over 30 years of experience and is an extremely hard worker. Well, this could be said about many other businesses too so what makes him stand out?Pros:He took time to do the work right;He explained everything on my level while stating humble;He does not cut corners (next time an electrician does a job for you - check if all of the new breakers are labeled legibly);Extreme attention to detail;Is very “engineer-y” and constantly thinks outside the box - for example he found and fixed a few problems along the way and also found some opportunities to improve energy savings in my house;Extremely good communicator, calm, detailed, does not rush you and will gladly repeat/re-word until you understand. Has very good patience. An absolute pleasure to talk to;Once he is done you will be staring at the work result in awe - some of the neatest resi electrical work I have seen.Cons:Not a cheap option - but I found the pricing to be within reason;If I notice anything suboptimal- I will amend this review (but I probably never would)And now you know why this business is 5.0 stars over many dozen reviews.I would consider it a privilege to be Ken’s customer again in the future.
